What happened to the book you had yesterday? -- Maddox is an avid reader. He is an avid and very quick reader. Big books, little books, books that look like they’d give a kid spinal curves just for carrying them type books. Maddox is just a fan of the worlds that people create and he likes to visit them often. Although, he may also enjoy the looks of awe or even terror as someone realizes he polished off a rather large book in a single day. Reading has always been a big part of Maddox’s life, the man having spent a lot of time as a child with his nose buried in books. With that much reading under his belt, it’s no surprise that he’s honed just how quickly he takes his very first hobby of choice in.


What’s on the menu? -- Maddox fancies himself a cook and a part-time bartender. He’d rather focus on his food craft than his drink craft, but that never stops him from whipping up great drinks for the holidays. Plates are a canvas and the food you put upon them your art. There isn’t anything Maddox won’t work with, when it comes to food (unless you have an allergy). Everything is an artist’s tool and it’s all at his disposal. When Maddox became a foster father, he picked up cooking in hopes of ensuring that his charge would have absolutely everything she needed. Turns out, he also found how much he loved cooking and how little snacks or treats could just brighten someone’s day. He and Abbi spent many hours in the kitchen together and Maddox couldn’t be prouder to crow that he taught her most of what she knows.

Virtues:

Wears his heart on his sleeve -- Maddox is like the books he’s always reading: Open. There’s no denying the feelings this man feels because it’s clear on his face. Happy? He’s smiling so wide you might think his face is going to crack. Sad? Well look, there’s no harm in blubbering like an idiot if it can’t be helped, right?
This often makes it easy to tell when’s a good time to talk to the man or when to run. Sure it might have it’s drawbacks but it’s not really a bad thing to let other’s know when he’s approachable, right?


Determined -- Never do less than your best, words Maddox lives by. Whether it’s learning something new or attempting a new recipe, Maddox will give it his all and finish what he started no matter the outcome. Because even if it ends in failure that doesn’t mean he can’t achieve what he started out to do; all he has to do is keep moving forward.

Flaws:

Softhearted -- The problem with wearing one’s heart on their sleeve means they are easy to read, easy to heart. A sucker for someone in need and thy name is Maddox. He can't stand to see someone in trouble or suffering and has a propensity for rushing to their aid even if it could be a trap. Money, a place to stay for the night? Maddox will help in any way he can, consequences be damned. Just as long as no harm comes to his foster daughter, anyway.

Overprotective -- ‘I’ve lost her once, Grim, I’m not going to lose her again.’ - Prince Eric
Maddox has a lot of regrets in his life and most of them involve losing his foster daughter. As such, now that he’s found her again he’s… not so keen on letting her out of his sight. The world isn’t safe and he just wants to keep her close where he knows he can protect her from the world around them.
He has the bad habit of constantly checking up on her, mostly by text, or if she’s leaving the house making sure he knows where she’s going and when she’ll be back. During the week it’s not so bad, as she stays on campus, but he does insist that she call every night to check in. He also tends to jump the gun and make assumptions regarding her safety or the types of friends she might have. It’s all in the name of keeping her safe.
Mostly this does get seen in regards to his foster daughter, but it’s unfortunately something that tends to happen with anyone he gets close to.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Almond shaped, hazel in color.

Hair: Man bun! And we’re not talking about those dinky little man buns either, it’s got some length to it when it’s down. The underneath is shaved, kept up by Abi every couple of weeks. Black in color.

Face: Diamond face shape, despite his pudgy mid-section it doesn’t show in his face. Tanned skin tone. Maddox stands in the mid 6’ range. Little bit of scruff on the face. Jason Momoa is his face claim so take that as you will.

Clothes: Look up Jason Momoa boho and that’s pretty much Maddox’s style of dress. He’s pretty much where Abi got her fashion style from. Shirt and accessories (with one of the necklaces holding a vial of "stardust" (which is really just "space" colored glitter), with distressed jeans (boot cut for optimal leg room), and leather flipflops

You can use an alternate spelling of the surname Argall and that will be sufficient, or you can select a different surname entirely.
