BackgroundRumours, splendid rumours..! They were growing. And sometimes, reverence for the Deep One was replaced by boogey-stories, or funny stories, or any other manner of tales to either help cope, or just...help, in general.
But there are a great many more of those in the colony that don't believe in the sacrifices demanded, but rather would eschew them in favour of something more peaceful. Whether it works or not, everyone has their own opinion as to why they should be friends, not food.
