Ordinarily, screaming into the woods might have been the
worst way to get Caedus’ attention, particularly considering he seemd to avoid trouble, however he had come to somewhat acknowledge that this forest was the closest thing he had to a ‘home’—at least, until he managed to return to his world. It was a task he was still dedicated to, and one he was still actively collecting energy for.
And that meant that he needed to
respond when people came to visit him.
It took a moment for him to emerge, and even then he had lingered in the shadows until he had identified the Senshi calling him.
Alphard, he remembered. He hadn’t seemed to be a threat last time, and Caedus trusted that he wouldn’t be this time, either. He emerged, wrapped in layers of different clotehs than last time—gifts from those who had visited, and yet, he was still concealed beneath a gifted cloak. He had gotten no better at fitting in, but he at least managed a slight wave in Alphard’s direction.
He called, much quieter than the Senshi, “I am here. You can come closer. What do you need?”
