Itsuki dutifully followed the newly-minted senshi to the safest and most private place either of them could think of - a long-abandoned lot near the greenhouse and garden shop that had overgrown from years of neglect. Itsuki all but disappeared in the tall weeds, his lilac-tinted tail and the swaying grasses the only real indicator of where he was if he wasn't speaking. The traffic was heavy on the nearby street, the sounds of engines muffling their speech, and the fencing that anyone could peek through was mostly boarded up with wood. The other three sides of the lot faced the backs or sides of buildings, one of which was closed for renovation.

The Mauvian could be heard attempting to stomp some of the grasses flat, if only so he could be see and be seen. With his help, Isis' power signature would be dampened from others who might be on patrol during the day. It was rare, but good practice for the cat nonetheless, and an excellent lesson for the new senshi.

"Hoo~ Isis, it sure is... weed-y? back here." he chirped, sneezing from a dandelion deciding to invade his nose. Once Itsuki had prepared a relatively flat spot on the ground, he felt comfortable sitting. "Arigato! Now I can teach you your attack and... lots of other things~!"

"Do you see that wall over there, Amazone-san?" Lifting a paw, the lilac-point gestured in the direction of the building under renovation. It was likely that the senshi's attack would do minimal damage to it, at best, and with an offensive attack such as hers, a non-moving target would be the best practice.

Once Itsuki was convinced Isis could follow his reasoning, the little cat beamed up at her. "Your attack is called Oasis Aquifier! All you need to do is shout that name, and your magic does the rest~ Just aim at that building and you'll see. Good luck, Amazone! You can do it! Ganbatte!"

Itsuki trotted a few feet away from the senshi to observe and cheer her on. He wore an expression of confidence and pride for Amazone. Surely this would be easy for her!

Ah, that didn't quite go according to plan.

Itsuki trotted up to the newbie senshi and sat down, never having run into this problem before. Surely it was simply a fluke. Amazone was cut out for this! Now what could have gone awry?

Hmm...

If Itsuki could, he would have snapped his fingers. Sadly, fingers weren't a thing for him yet. Instead, the cat would stand on his hind legs and gesture with his furry paws. "It's okay, Amazone! I forgot. There's a gesture, too! The magic only works if you do the gesture with it. Gomen nasai, I forgot that part... Uwu, will you forgive me? See, like this~"

Itsuki tried to gesture with his paws a forward push sort of motion. Without large hands to work with, it might have been difficult to see, so Itsuki repeated the gesture and the phrasing a few times for emphasis. "Oasis Aquifier! Like that! Ganbatte, Amazone-san. You'll do great! I just know it! Let me get out of your way, then fire at the building~"

The lilac point trotted away again, to a safe distance some ten feet to the senshi's left. Tiny paws were in the air, cheering for her.

"Yatta!! Amazone-san, you did it! That's your attack! You did it! You did it!!"

The lilac-point bounded up and down from his position in the weeds, laughing happily. Itsuki was so proud of the new senshi, getting the hang of things so quickly. "That's how you help to protect people from the Negaverse and the forces of Chaos! Oh... I should explain that too, but you should definitely be proud of your accomplishment! Yatta!!"

Itsuki trotted up to the shocked senshi's feet and sat down, ready to give the next piece of the puzzle - the next lesson. "Chaos, Amazone-san, is the force we're trying to stop. You see, Chaos wishes to take the Earth for itself, and hurt people. More than anything else, they want people's lives, and their starseeds. That's your soul, basically." Heavy stuff indeed, and Itsuki felt terrible guilt about heaping all of this information on Amazone in such a short period of time, but it needed to be done. Amazone needed to know why she was fighting, and what she was fighting for.

Themisto complained of being awakened and left behind. Itsuki wasn't about to do that to Amazone.

"You can feel people with powers when you're in this form, Amazone-san. It takes practice, though. I think it's easier if you close your eyes and concentrate. You can feel other people. People like you, they have friendly auras. The people who work for Chaos feel bad. Maybe they feel scary or prickly or disgusting. That's how you know who is who, even before you see them."

Perhaps a practical lesson was better? "Amazone-san, let's practice! Close your eyes and I'll go hide. See if you can feel my aura~!" The cat waited for the senshi to comply before trotting off to find a place to hide. What better way to practice than Hide-and-Seek?

"Hai, starseeds are your souls. They're very important, so you should keep it safe. The Negaverse would like it, but you shouldn't let them have. Who knows what they might want with it. Your soul is yours, Amazone-san, and it's important! Please keep it safe! That's part of what my job is - I'm going to do my best to teach you! Count to ten~ I'll go hide!"

Itsuki knew very well that his signature, as a Guardian Cat, would be difficult to detect, even by a veteran senshi. With that in mind, Itsuki found a nice spot just behind Amazone and to her left, beneath an outcropping of weeds. Close enough to find easily, but far enough that the senshi would have to try and seek him out using the signature.

He watched her from the weeds and waited, seeing how things might go.

Amazone was stepping in the right direction. If she concentrated enough, focused enough, she'd sense his presence. Itsuki waited in silence for the agonizing moments, watching and waiting for the senshi to find him in the tall weeds. Once her foot passed just close enough to him, the cat sprang from his hiding place.

"Yatta! You did it, Amazone-san! You felt my energy signature, didn't you~? See, you are very talented. Great job! Cats are very hard to find, you see. Other senshi like yourself will give off a bigger signal, so they're easier to spot~"

Padding over to a clearer section of the lot, the cat sat down for the next lesson.

"Hai, the Negaverse. They're an organized group of Chaos warriors who want to take over Destiny City. They have dark signatures, like the opposite of yours. They're the ones we're trying to stop, Amazone-san. You can use your magic to defend yourself, and you'll need to train to get stronger. That's what I'm here for!"

"Gomen nasai, Amazone-san. Themi-chan says Jesus Christ, Itsuki! an awful lot, so... I must scare him often. Gomen!"

The lilac point bowed to the senshi in apology for startling her with his excitement.

"Hai, yes, the Negaverse is built like a military. They have ranks like Lieutenant, Captain and General. That's what the computer files tells me. I've run into a General before and they are honto kowai - very scary. They might try to kill you, Amazone-san. You should be very wary of Negaverse agents. They want to kill or corrupt - that's what the Headquarters computer files say. The General Themi-chan and I ran into, we barely escaped from. He was more on the kill side of things."

On second thought, while this was important information, it was probably really terrifying to hear. "Uwa, it's not all bad if you're careful. In this form, you're stronger and faster than you would normally be, and you can travel to your special place in space! You have a new cellphone set up to the Mauvian network! That might be fun~ Give it a try, Amazone-san. It's a touch-screen phone, colored like your fuku. If you think about it, you can pull it from subspace storage!"

"O-oh, gomen nasai! I'm new to this too, Amazone-san, so I learn a lot from other neko mentors and our computer system! Several very smart cats put together a database for new cats to learn from. It's great when you don't have a lot of experience. Demo.... you won't be alone though, Amazone-san! I know several senshi who could work with you so you won't be alone. Myself included, of course. Themi-chan was awakened and then left behind. I don't what to do that to any senshi!"

With a few decisive nods, Itsuki seemed to reassure himself, at the very least.

He lifted a paw and gestured to her phone, which had appeared in her hands once the senshi had focused on it. "Hai hai! You can store things in your own pocket of subspace, including your phone and your henshin pen. And other things, like snacks. I have Themi-chan store snacks for me. You can't patrol on an empty stomach!" With a giggle, Itsuki patted his stomach while sitting on his hind legs.

"This phone is already connected to the Mauvian Cell Network! Like me, I'm a Mauvian. Think of it like Kitty-Mobile. All free, of course. You can point your phone and take a picture of senshi friends and it automatically registers their contact information, so you can call or text at any time! How nice is that? There's also a distress beacon app, a GPS map... Oh, what else?"

Itsuki looked down at his paw and started mumbling to himself, trying to remember all the apps that came standard on the phone.
