Weather: Pleasantly sunny
It was a perfect time for LuLu to have her day off from training. It was a bright afternoon and the first traces of an Autumn chill had sept into the air. The rabbit had also found herself a fitting distraction at a local park, not too far from her apartment. A pop concert! A relatively popular band was headlining a charity event today. She had heard a few of their songs on the radio before, and they were pretty catchy.
LuLu floated out of the lobby of her apartment complex. She shielded her eyes against the afternoon light until she could pull the sheer hood of her sweatshirt over her head. She tucked her ears underneath the fabric. The rabbit breathed out a sigh of relief when her surroundings came back into focus, no longer blown out by the sun's brightness.
She began her trek towards the park. It went by rather quickly as her destination was only a few blocks away. Before she realized it, LuLu could make out the beginnings of a crowd and a ticket counter. She quickly paid for her entry and eased her way into the festivities.

The smokey Raevan couldn't help a sigh as she floated into the venue, double checking to make sure her jacket was properly done up. It was already starting to be that time of year which made it harder and harder for Delia to enjoy the out doors as much. Luckily, winter was still a good ways off and she didn't have to seclude herself just yet. Her dark lips gave a small smile at the thought, but it soon slipped. As nice as it was to be out and about right then, Cordelia just wished she could enjoy it with someone else. Someone who wasn't her grandfather for once.
She perked up immediately though when her ears caught the telltale signs of a band tuning up. Quickly, she made her way towards the stage area. Alone or not, Delia was going to enjoy herself. Or rather she was until some human nearly barreled into her. Barely avoiding them at the last second, the Frei stared down at the female near the base of her ribbon. The girl stared up at her with the cheesiest of grins, face beet red from obvious alcohol consumption before proceeding to vomit.
"Ugh! Seriously?! It's a pop concert, not a rock show!" Cordelia replied in utter disgust as she backed away as quickly as possible, unfortunately knocking into someone of whom was behind her. Cursing slight under her breathe, Delia willed her sharp wings into smoke so as not to cause anymore problems before turning quickly around to address said person. "I'm really sorry, are you okay? Wait...don't I know you?" It was obvious enough to even a preschooler that the blonde girl was a Raevan, but one of whom Cordelia couldn't recall a name, but was sure she'd seen or talked to in passing at least.

Cordelia was not the only one who caught onto the fact the first band would soon be starting. The whole crowd churned the moment a guitar began to strum and an off beat tempo resonated from a drum set. LuLu heard a few disembodied hoots and hollers echo from all over the venue. She could not help but emit her own little cheer. The crowd was now pushing forward and LuLu found herself carried along with the commotion. The stage was drawing nearer. With the distance quickly closing, the opening band was soon within earshot. The rabbit reached into her bag and pulled out a set of earplugs before the sound became too overpowering for her delicate senses. LuLu settled in. Her eyes closed as she drifted off to the tune playing overhead. She bobbed slowly in the air along with the beat. This band was a little less poppy than the headliner. However, the sigel did not really mind. It was nice hearing something different from the usual chart toppers that played on the radio nonstop. Suddenly, the sigel felt something rather heavy bump into her shoulder followed by a sharp pain. Her eyes snapped open and she reached up to cup a hand over the joint. "Ow!" The rabbit pulled her fingers away to examine the spot. There looked to be a small tear in the fabric of her sweatshirt. She also noticed a tiny dribble of blood had been wicked up by the material. The wound was only a superficial cut that would probably clot off in a matter of seconds. Still, the girl was a bit frustrated. The point of taking today off was to be avoiding getting hurt further. LuLu searched out the culprit from the crowd and, fortunately for her, the perpetrator was fairly easy to locate. After all, it was pretty hard to hide a knife when it was jutting straight from their back. She vaguely recognized the other raevan. In the same way she might place someone like Dr. Kyou in a group. Perhaps they had met at a Lab function a long time ago? Regardless, LuLu could not dredge up a name from her memory. The rabbit shook her head. She did not really know this frei. They were only distant acquaintances at best. The girl put on her best frown and responded, "Be more careful." She pointed to the hole in her clothes.

The look and response from the rabbit Sigel was less than stellar, even bordering on somewhat condescending. It made the snake want to snap back with an 'excuse me?!' cause seriously it wasn't like Cordelia planned to almost get vomited on and bump into the other girl like that, it was an accident. But, the Basilisk hadn't come here to get into a fight, let alone with one of her own kind. Swallowing down her need to defend herself, Delia replied with a simple, "Ah, right. Sorry." Before creating some distance between them. She could feel an awkward silence coming and yet felt powerless to stop it. Her mouth opened and closed a couple times as she tried to desperately string a cohesive sentence together. Ugh, when did she get so bad at interacting with other people? When she was younger she could have literally made friends with a shoe. Finally, "Uh, is that going to be okay? You don't need to visit the med tent do you?"

LuLu appeared pacified by Delia's apologies. The frei seemed genuinely concerned over the incident. The rabbit's defenses fell and her posture eased back into a relaxed sway. She glanced down at her her shoulder once more before she commented, "It will be fine. I have been hit by worse." The sigel offered a slight smirk then shrugged the limb to prove to the frei it was still fully functional. As the silence dragged on, the scaled girl continued to create distance between them. LuLu soon noticed she was about to bump into another couple. The sigel reached out in an attempt to pull the other raevan back in, but she was too late. She released a surprised squeak when she saw Delia's wings dissolve through the couple and into a puff of dense black smoke.The rabbit looked the basilisk up and down. She commented curiously, "Your wings can disappear?"

She hadn't noticed she was still floating backwards until the other Raevan tried reeling her back in, but of course by then she'd already knocked into the couple there. Though they were angry, luckily all they did was glare and snap a simple 'watch it' before continuing onwards to their destination. All Cordelia could do was place her hands together in a pseudo prayer and give apologizes as they walked off. The snake rubbed her face and sighed heavily. These types of things almost never happened and yet today it had happened twice in the span of a couple minutes. How was she going to even remotely enjoy this concert when she and others couldn't seem to watch where they were going? "Huh?" Delia blinked at LuLu's question before they suddenly shone with understanding and she gave her wings a quick over the shoulder look, "Oh! No, not exactly. They're still there, just not solid. You see..." With a little flourish, Cordelia quickly demonstrated by wisping one arm and then the other into smoke before returning them to normal. "...I have a smoke essence. But to be perfectly honest, I'm still getting the hang of using this ability actively so I won't be able to keep this up for long."Just saying that reminded the Basilisk about her cigarettes. Quickly she located them and shook the box before giving a small sigh. Definitely wouldn't be able to keep her wings intangible for the entire concert. Not unless she wanted to go into hypothermia. Re-pocketing the carton without opening it, Cordelia took a look around to make sure she wouldn't hurt anyone and slowly let her wings regain their natural form. "They're a pain, but I swear I'm normally more graceful than what you've seen." the smoky girl jest with a warm smile. "I'm Cordelia by the way. Delia for short if you like."

The rabbit's ears perked at Delia's explanation. So it was one of her powers. How exciting! LuLu nodded along and gasped softly when the other girl phased herself away on a whim. Feeling adventurous, the sigel decided to tap into her own abilities to put on a show. Her facial tattoos quickly morphed into a likeness of Cordelia's facial scales. Lu's copy lacked some of the texture that the genuine markings possessed, but it was still a pretty faithful reproduction of the original. "I am working on mine, too." She tapped a finger at the corner of her mouth and a small beauty mark appeared. It was the finishing touch on the whole act of mimicry. The girl then offered the basilisk a gentle curtsy. "I am LuLu."

Her silver eyes went wide as she watched the other Raevan's facial markings take on a look most familiar and even gave a tiny delighted laugh when the rabbit even mimicked her beauty mark. "Hey that's pretty good!" Cordelia wanted to ask more about the Sigel's essence and powers, but her thoughts were interrupted with the most excitable of female voices as it filled the air, welcoming all to the show.
"Oh, looks like the show's about to start. Want to get closer?" the snake gestured towards the stage.

LuLu smirked at the basilisk's comment. She commented offhandedly, "I could do your makeup sometime." Her markings soon ebbed back to their usual sunny gold. The rabbit's ears perked when a voice erupted over the speaker. She nodded and followed the other raevan closer to the stage. As thew drew in, she pulled a small pair of earplugs from her pocket and popped them into place. They would dull the music enough so that her superhuman hearing could handle the volume. The sigel chimed, "Do you know this band?"

She looked thoughtful at LuLu's offer to do her makeup sometime. In the past the snake had seen Ebony "put her face together" as the woman had called it on many different occasions, but had never really put in thought or interest in using the stuff for herself. The notion never really popped in her head as she hadn't found a need to, yet now the idea seemed a bit intriguing and possibly even fun. After all, Cordelia really needed to start putting herself out there more, so she might just take the rabbit up on her offer one day soon. Delia raised a brow when she saw LuLu put earplugs in when they got closer to the stage. At first she found it strange, but then she looked those long ears up and down and realized her hearing must be super sensitive. Not pursuing the conversation of the earplugs, the Basilisk placed her hands behind her head and replied, "Nope. I normally go to a lot of local rock bands gigs, but I like all kinds of music and decided to change it up this time. How about yourself?"

LuLu bobbed her head to the beat as the next band on the stage went into full swing. She could still hear the other raevan over the music and through her earplugs. She pondered the other;s question for a moment. The rabbit did not have a particular genre she leaned towards. Rather, she felt out the various songs she came across. The ones that made her sway her hips often stuck around in her head longer. She leaned in closer and answered, "I like music I can move to."

Cordelia's face lit up when the girl answered. Though the snake enjoyed a variety of music, the ones she tended to like the best were ones where she often found herself head-bobbing along to. "I know right?! It's no fun if the music doesn't speak to you. Growing up it was mostly classical stuff I had to listen to, but some of that could totally put you to sleep."Without really thinking about it, Delia was soon bobbing her head along with LuLu's. When she realized this, the Frei said, "I gotta say, this band's pretty good though. Do you remember what their name was?"

LuLu nodded along to Cordelia's comment. Her nose scrunched up softly at the mention of classical music. Ick! That genre was way too stuffy in her opinion. She felt pity for the poor frei having to endure such torment. Delia must be relieved to hear real music today, the stuff that you can move your body to. Speaking of which, it was not long before the rabbit twined her arms above her head along with the beat surrounding them. She twirled in place slowly and finished her rotation facing the basilisk. Lu cooed gently to her counterpart, "They are wonderful.I think their name had something to do with unicorns." After another moment, "Do you want to dance with me?" The sigel raised a hand towards the frei.

"Yeah Rocket Unicorns! Or, well, something like that." The Basilisk laughed at her inability to actually recall the correct name of the band, but it really didn't matter now. What mattered was the good vibes she and LuLu as well as all the other fans were experiencing right then and there. Out of the corner of her eye, Delia saw how the bunny moved and was sort of envious. 'It must be nice to have a belly...' It sure made dancing look better in her opinion. She was positive her "dancing" wasn't as graceful. But LuLu wasn't judging, in fact, Cordelia was surprised when the girl asked her to dance. At first, the younger Raevan was nervous, but quickly nodded and joined the other. It was awkward at first, but once the snake let down her guard, not to mention turning her wings back to smoke, it made things a whole lot easier. Soon Cordelia was smiling and giggling as she danced with LuLu. This is what she wanted, this was why she came out today despite the weather. She wanted to experience getting lost in the music with others once again. The Frei was having so much fun that she decided to push things more and completely dissolved her physical form. As smoke, Cordelia wasn't constrained and could twist and turn however she liked. And she did so, all about LuLu. Anyone watching would probably have their jaws dropping to see the floating torso dancing with a rolling female figure made completely of smoke.

The rabbit was pleased when Cordelia had decided to join her. She curled her spine with the beat and continued her own dance. She ended up entwined with the frei for a moment before something shocking happened. A gasp erupted through the whole crowd and among the commotion was Lu's own awestruck inhale.
The basilisk's form shifted in an instant to resemble something like a cloud of smoke. However, this cloud was not like anything the sigel had ever seen before. It also had dense portions that resembled arms and a face. Cordelia's arms and face, to be exact.
Lulu braced herself against the charred scent that stung her nostrils and the corners of her eyes. Though it was uncomfortable, she did not want to look away from the sight. The way the plumes drifted around reminded her of ink in water. They moved so wildly! LuLu wanted to move just like them. The rabbit's tattoos started to writhe just under her skin and formed abstract shapes that matched the smoke.
LuLu reached out towards the veil of soot and ash. She coiled her fingers through one of the plumes. It escaped through her hold. Still dancing, she exclaimed breathlessly to her counterpart, "You are amazing." Her tattoos radiated through a spectrum of colors before they settled on an emerald green.
The song finally came to a close and LuLu's dancing slowed with it. She had so much fun that her sore muscles had been completely forgotten. This may not have been exactly what Franco had meant when he had wanted her to take the day off. Still, the rabbit was beyond overjoyed.
