Well, speed dating had been an absolute bust. Not only that, but a good portion of the people who had attended were now acting absolutely bonkers. It was weird, of course, but mostly? It was just obnoxious as ********. And since she was irritated, Dottie had, once again, found herself on the training field, taking out all of her pent up frustration, and she had a lot of that, on one of the dummies, which she hacked at with her katana in a decidedly ungraceful way, all while her weapon hummed and tutted indignantly in her head. Eventually, she paused, and huffed out an irritated breath of air while reaching up to swipe vibrant pink and blue bangs out of her eyes. "This ******** blows." She said, turning to sweep her gaze around until she caught sight of a woman not too far off. "HEY! YOU!" She shouted, a loud, barking demand not to be ignored. "Get your starry a** over here and spar with me!"

Seren was still in such a wonderful mood after those wonderful cookies, but she wasn't letting that get in the way of her need to train and spar. As such, she had come running down to the field in a great mood. She had been thinking about beating up a few of the dummies, because she wouldn't worry about hurting some one she might find herself caring about. Then she heard the pink haired woman yelling at her. She turned and blinked at her. She vaguely remembering seeing her before, at Dares and maybe at Dates? She wasn't sure, but she shrugged. She didn't know the other girl well, so it should be fine. She summoned Diwata, and hoisted her, before walking over to the other woman. "Yo. Sounds good. First time I've actually run into another woman down here." Her lips curved into a grin. "Bout time."

Well s**t, this girls weapon was the ******** bomb. Dottie couldn't help but stare at it as the woman approached, totally checking it out appreciatively, though not without a hint of jealous while her own weapon gave off a distinct unimpressed feeling in Dottie's head, huffing out in wordless indignation. "What? Really?" Dottie stopped looking at Seren's kick-a** sword long enough to stare at her instead, her nose wrinkling up beneath her bandanna. "Actually....you're the first woman I've seen down here too. What the actual ********?? How have I not noticed that before?" She seemed to gaze off into the distance for a moment, and then shook her head. "Well, today at least, you are blessed, because you get to go toe to toe with me." She grinned, "Well, with us." She held up her katana, and shrugged, taking a step back to wrap both hands around the hilt, obviously keen to get this match up started.

Seren tried not to chuckle at the way the other woman stared at her blade. Not the first time she'd gotten that reaction to Diwata, and probably wouldn't be the last. She was still amazed she could hoist the huge blade, honestly. She DID, however, chuckle at her words. "Yes, really. It's been makin' me curious, to be honest, as to why the ******** not." She tossed her head a little, to get a stray lock out of her face. She'd put her hair up in a bun, but lords did it like to escape. "I'm Seren, by the way. Glad to know it's not just me missing all the other women. I know there's a lot of us, but where the ******** are we?" That calm bragging about blessings earned a flat out laugh, and a nod. "Sounds good to me. Shall we get this show on the road, good lookin'?"

"Dottie. Dorothy, actually, but seriously, just call me Dottie, everyone else does." To the point where she hardly even registered it when people called her by her full name. She shrugged her shoulders. "Either they all think that they're bad a** enough to get by without the training, or they're a bunch of ******** princesses who don't want to get their hands dirty." She smiled, and looked Seren over. Honestly, the girl struck her as one of those princess types she'd just spoke of, but her words and actions spoke volumes to the otherwise. Good lookin, ey? She thought to herself, with a smirk that was unseen due to the bandanna tied loosely around her face. "Sure thing, doll." She responded, and without further ado, struck, pivoting forward and sweeping her blade down towards the other woman, though she was not close enough for it to do more than just graze. HP: 40 Charge: 1/3 Damage: 2

"Pleasure to meet you, then, Dottie. I'm not one to argue with some one's preferred name." She gave a slight shrug, watching the other woman move. "Princesses." She gave an annoyed snort, and rolled her eyes. She might dress pretty, but she was no princess, and she remembered enough about princessy bitches from back home to never want to be thought of as one. "******** any of 'em that are. Who the hell knows, honestly?" She shrugged, and shifted a little closer. The lack of warned had her eyebrows go up, and she gave a slight 'Nnn' sound at the glancing blow, her expression shifting to focused and calculating. In response, she swung her blade in an underhand strike towards Dottie's legs. HP: 38/40 Damage: 3 Charge: 1/3

"You know what? I think I might actually like you." Dottie said, again taken by surprise by the words coming out of the other woman's mouth. "Pretty, and a total ******** sassbucket. Perfect combination." She laughed, but was caught off guard by the sudden retaliation, and though she attempted to jump back to avoid the sweeping blow, it still managed to catch her, striking just below her knees and nearly knocking her onto her a**. Somehow, luckily, she managed to only stumble, and stayed on her feet. Damn that sword was cool! Of course, she couldn't just sit there and admire. She straightened and circled around, and waited for another opportunity, faking one direction before sweeping the katana down into an answering, swift undercut of her own. HP: 37 Charge: 2/3 Damage: 4

Seren grinned, and tossed her head a bit, pleased by the compliment. She might not agree on the pretty part, but being called that warmed her heart, especially right now, with... how good the world seemed, comparatively. "Sass is what keeps the s**t of the world from breakin' a tough b***h down. I'm not letting that be a thing." She grinned and added "You're not too bad yourself, I'd say. Definitely worth hanging out with." The return attack hit, and hit true, earning Dottie the sight of Seren taking a stumbling step back, but not getting knocked on her a**... And then the sight of that overly large blade coming in with a half moon curve, trying for Dottie's side. HP: 34/40 Damage: 6 Charge: 2/3

If they had been anywhere but on the training field, Dottie could have continued to trade compliments, quite happily, though with the ultimate goal of getting something out of it for herself. As it was. what she really wanted was to trade blows, which, so far, they both seemed to be managing quite well. One strike was easily met with a counter, and though perhaps surprised by Seren's strength and maneuverability, Dottie did so relish a good challenge. So long as she came out on top in the end, of course. However, one misstep, or maybe not even that, maybe instead it was Dottie's own over-confidence, and the pink haired trainee found herself on the receiving end of a strike that made it now her own turn to stumble back, with eyes wide in bewilderment. No, this wasn't how this was supposed to be. She shouldn't be falling (though she caught herself before her a** hit the ground, knees bent, body back, hand behind and on the ground). She shouldn't be pushing herself back swiftly to her feet, scrambling back into position to face her opponent. "Well s**t, sweetheart. Aren't you just full of surprises." She narrowed her eyes, all former pretense of this being just a fun little match up between two women gone, the cheerful, even mildly flirtatious, act dropped. "Try that again, I ******** dare you." HP: 31 Charge: 2/3 Damage: 0

Seren's brows went up at the suddenly more obviously aggressive side to Dottie, and her own eyes narrowed. Cookies or not, Seren was a willful little b***h at times, and determined to show the world she wasn't going to let it break her the ******** down. Dottie's reaction made her wonder what was really going on under that woman's mask. Seren suspected the two of them might not be the sort to get along as much as she thought, after all, actually. The other woman wore masks well, and not just physically... And it seemed HER mask hid a more aggressive, possibly dangerous side. Seren preferred the chiller, laid back sort of people. The challenge, however, was met with a sparking in Seren's eyes. "If you say so.... darlin'." She reversed the swing, hard, coming in from the other side now, darting forwards to see how the attack would go. She was really grateful, in the back of her head, for Rhys' training. It made handling Diwata a lot easier. HP: 34/40 Damage: 8 Charge: 3/3

Well, it certainly wouldn't be the first time that Dottie's quick to rise temper and smart mouth put her in an undesirable position, and it likely would not be the last. She didn't know how to reign herself in, how to keep her temper in check, or how to filter her words. She also didn't know how to lose. Not graciously, at least. But hell, she had thrown out the challenge, bold, heated, her lip baring teeth that were hidden behind her bandanna, and Seren had answered it with a second walloping blow that left Dottie reeling, and it was only by dumb luck alone that her own, answering swing managed to barely graze the other woman in response. Of course, despite having to push herself back to her feet a second time, and despite standing just a little more hunched over than before, Dottie just continued to glare. "That all you got, sugar?" HP: 23 Damage: 1 Charge: 3/3

Seren's brows rose a little further. Yeah, this was one she should watch out for in the future, since it seemed likely that she was going to keep a grudge, if Seren was any kind of judge about these things. She was going to watch her back around Dottie in the future. And maybe she should keep in mind that masks can hide a lot more then cute faces. She knew that, after all she wore one to hide her own issues regularly... And her parents had certainly hid a lot, but... Well. She needed to focus, because Dottie came in with a glancing blow. "No, it's not but..." She swung again and made minimal contact. "I wouldn't want to blow my load all at once." HP: 33/40 Damage: 2 Charge: 3/3

This really wasn't going well. It was probably not going to get any better. A snort, "I doubt you could keep it up long enough to blow anything." She then barked a laugh, harsh, and lowered her weapon wielding arm, defiantly (see: stupidly) opting not to even try to fight back. She could take a hit. She could take several hits, and she'd prove it, by continuing to come back for more. "Come on, you filthy gash, I said hit me. Getting pretty ******** tired of these love taps." HP: 21 Damage: 0 Charge: 3/3

Seren barely controlled the urge to roll her eyes at the other woman's attempts at biting words. She didn't even know what the insult Dottie had thrown at her meant, though she was pretty clear that it WAS an insult. She simply watched the other woman for a long moment. She then shrugged, and swung again, not hard, but enough to make the point that standing there with one's arms down, and weapon not even at the ready, did nothing to impress anyone OR advance the spar any. "Come on, then. Are you satisfied, or shall I give you another love tap?" Seren said, her brows raised. She wasn't trying to challenge the other woman, per se, but the lack of an attack was more then pointless. HP: 33/40 Damage: 3 Charge: 3/3

"No." She replied, with a sneer, taking the hit like a champ and not crumbling beneath it. And then she finally made a move. Maybe it was luck, or maybe Seren had let her guard down just enough, or perhaps it was the mounting anger and frustration surging upwards that made Dottie's retaliation hit hard, true, and vicious. Her teeth were bared beneath her bandanna, and the sound that tore from her throat as she darted forward and struck with a sweeping blow was more a growl than anything else. She pulled back from the attack, still sneering, though inwardly she was elated at finally being able to manage such a solid hit. " That was ******** satisfying." HP: 18 Damage: 10 Charge: 3/3
