Today is not as glorious a day as the last time she was here. Her phone doesn't work, her eyepod won't play music, it's wet, it's humid, and it looks like it's going to rain. Toki tramples the dirt path she's on, splashing a puddle on the side for good measure.  "Perhaps the good weather only holds if one comes here by accident. I should never have used that portal! Uuuugh."

"I don't know if she'll be here, but this is the last place I saw her," he was telling Cami as they walked together along the muddy path. She'd been the only one he'd told about Toki, about the pictures, and had actually been excited when she'd mentioned wanted to see the monster girl for herself, but now that they were there, he wasn't sure why he'd thought it'd be this easy to find her. What were the chances of just running into her? What if it'd been a one time kind of thing? What of she couldn't get back? Questions that hadn't entered his mind until after they'd gotten there, and now he was nervous the trip would be for nothing, and he really didn't want to disappoint Cami. She'd been through quite enough lately, and all he really wanted was to be able to make her smile.

 "...And I do not have an umbrella, and I did not think to bring extra snacks, and by some cruel twist of fate I cannot eat the food here--" Her monologue of self-pity cuts off. Is that someone over there? Yes! Finally! Another person, hopefully to brighten up this incredibly downcast day. Toki walks just a little faster along the path, towards what looks like two small people.  "Henry! Why, I was not expecting you to be here! I was not expecting anyone to be here. Everything is gloomy and damp. It is quite depressing. I certainly hope this kind of weather is not normal." She peers around him.  "Ohh, and you brought a friend! How sweet--oh dear. If I am interrupting a date, just make some kind of signal and I shall take my leave." She looks meaningfully at him and waits.

Ohhhh man Cami hoped her mom never found out about what she was doing right now! It was bad enough that she was going to go meet a monster but alone? With a male? Yeah, no, Caroline would s**t nine bricks exactly and then they'd have to have another session of burrito-hugs and cautionary tales about the Evils of Men. And while she didn't mind the burrito-hugs the cautionary tales were getting a liiiiiiittle old. "It's okay if we can't find her. Maybe we'll find something else interesting instead!" Interesting being the key word and not dangerous, maiming, life-ending. Glee burst across her face at the sight of the horned ghoul who recognized Henry immediately and though it was a leap of faith, she waved. "Hi Toki! I'm Cami. And no, this isn't a date, we're just friends, and I'm not allowed to date." A safer thing to say than 'my mom doesn't like me around men'. By a lot. Unfortunately that meant poor Henry got brutally friendzoned in the process.

"That's true. I didn't really explore much last time I was here." Ah, but there was Toki hurrying towards them from up the path. Henry grinned at the monster girl, waving one of his hands, though for just a moment his attention was all for the smile on Cali's face. "No, not a date," he began, but stopped as Cami answered for them. Frowning thoughtfully at the answer itself. Just friends?~ Din'ya want to be her friend, boil?~ Well yes, but... But he didn't know how to answer that. Niceven sighed, and he got the distinct impression they were rolling their eyes at him before settling quietly again. "Er, no, not interrupting. We came to find you, actually. Cami wanted to meet you."

 "It is always nice to meet a friend's friend! Y-yes, friendship is such a wonderful thing to have," She gushes, trying not to feel too bad for Henry. Trying very hard not to make a sympathetic face. She looks around. "Taking a walk is always nice! Well. Perhaps not so nice in this weather. But we will make the best of it!" Perhaps it would be best not to wonder out loud if this forest eats people at night. She peers at the new girl instead.  "It is so nice to meet you! Cami. That is such a cute name. Not allowed to date, hmm? That is okay! I am sure you will have many chances when you are ready." Toki smiles, stretches out one sleeve for a handshake, and tries to send Henry telepathic thoughts of staying positive and not giving up. "Oh, but why were you looking for me? Just to say hello? Did you want a photo? I will probably return to school before this weather worsens, but I am more than happy to stay for a while!" .
