It hadn't been a decision that Hopeite had made to truly begin to set her plans into motion. It didn't have to be. It was a conclusion. When Hopeite thought about creating her own, personal plaything, Harmonia's face had shimmered into existence behind her eyes. Of course, she would be the one. Her trusting guileless eyes. Her bright and naive smile. Thinking about them made Hopeite's smile twist into something... toxic. And she had been thinking about to now for almost a solid week. It made something oily and slick coil happily inside of her. Made her mind create and plot ways to wipe that stupid smile off her face. Blacken her bright eyes. Break her dainty little hands.
Before now they had met by chance, but now... now Hopeite intended to take complete control of their... relationship.
Having come to this delicious conclusion, Hopeite powered up and picked several fights the nights before. She looked a right mess to anyone who looked at her. Senshi and agent alike. Her left eye was black. Her lip was swollen. She moved with a slight limp. It was all artifice. A creation manufactured to create a narrative for Harmonia to lap up.
Now it was only to find her.

With the weeks having flown by and school back in session there was a lot on the senshi's mind as of late. In fact, her thoughts had not shifted to the agent she had chanced upon a couple times. With the passing of time and having not seen the older woman, Harmonia had begun to, well...not forget, but not dwell too much. Sure, a passing thought would cross her mind from time to time, but nothing more.
Life, both powered and unpowered had been kind to her, and Harmonia was settling into what would be her last year of highschool. Good grades, making memories with friends, and making decisions about college were her biggest problems, but she didn't let that get in the way of her duties as a senshi. Once homework was done and the last glow of the bed side lamp from her parents room had disappeared, the senshi was off to at least get an hour or two patrol in before she'd need to get rest. After all, the teachers were diving right into the return of the school year and she already had her first test tomorrow.
Leaving the more suburban area of Destiny City, Harmonia made her way into the more populated area. She sometimes tended to check out some of the seedier parts of the city, but it was a far distance from home and with her tight schedule for the evening, she instead opted to patrol the business district.
With the late hour it was unsurprising to find most of the stores with their lights off. An occasional bar or restaurant was still flashing neon open lights, but for the most part, the area was quiet.
Lacking anything to pull her attention it was unsurprising that the senshi noted the chaos energy. A Lieutenant by the sense of it and not far off.
Heels clicked on the rooftops she utilized to travel the city as she hurried towards the signature. The uniform the agent wore was familiar. Familiar enough for Harmonia to feel a flutter of happiness to see the agent again, but it quickly pittered out as she noted the odd movement pattern and...was that brusies?
Wasting no time Harmonia hurried to Hopeite's side, not once thinking that it might be a terrible idea to run to the aid of the negaverse agent. After all, the woman had given the senshi no reason to fear her.
Rounding on the woman, Harmonia's face full of worry, she reached out as if to help Hopeite if the woman needed assistance. "You shouldn't be out here like this!" She said as green eyed roved the woman's face taking in the black eye and swollen lip. Whomever Hopeite got in a fight with certainly had left the woman with a lasting physical impression.
"What happened?" A naive question, perhaps, but one that flew from the teens lips before she could think twice.

Well that was easy enough. Did this girl ever power down? Did she sleep? She had to go to school, right? She was about that age. Not that it mattered. This ease of locating Harmonia suited Hopeite just fine. She smiled despite her facial injuries and limped over to Harmonia, even managing a small wave as she did so. At Harmonia's sudden barrage of questions, Hopeite balked. Oh god, she'd forgotten how... overbearing this girl could be. She hid her grimace behind her injuries and rubbed her shoulder like it was hurting her. This also gave her time to process the questions that she was being asked and find suitable stories for them. Alright. Time to fall into character. Hopeite crossed her arms defensively over her chest and looked around anxiously, as though she was looking for someone. Her lips hung open for a moment, as though searching for the words she already knew that she was going to say. "You happened," she said simply, wiping a bead of blood from the cut on her lips that had painfully opened when she had smiled. She ducked her head as thought trying to hide and finished, "someone saw me with you. Someone higher up than me. Someone with more... influence. Put out an APB. Looks like there is a price out on my head to bring me down to headquarters and let the suits hash me out." Hopeite shrugged as thought it didn't matter and cast her gaze around again. "You might wanna get lost. Chances are if they are after me, then they are after you. The negaverse doesn't take kindly to traitors... even less to those they defect to."

Harmonia was stunned for a moment, her arm outstretched to help Hopeite who made it clear help was not something she wanted when arms crossed. "I....me?" That had not been an answer she had been expecting. Not at all!
"No. No!" I am not just walking away from you like this!" Whether the woman wanted it or now, Harmonia wrapped her in a gentle hug, tears in her eyes. "I am so sorry! I had no idea this could happen to you." She said over the woman's shoulder. Gingerly she pulled away, eyes finding Hopeites.
"Is there anything I can do to help you? Do you need to hide somewhere? Wait, they'll be able to find you while powered, um..." She chewed on her lip as she dropped her hands from the woman's shoulder. She needed to come up with something. After all, this was her fault. Hopeite was in injured and beaten because the Lt. was found with a senshi. What could she possibly do to try and fix this?
"Please, please tell me if there's anything I can do to help? I don't want to see you hurt like this because of me."

Hopeite could have howled with laughter. This was all too easy! Hopeite suspected that if she rolled up in a white van with "Free Candy" spray painted on the side she'd either jump in the back or try and help her pass out her wares. She fought back the laughter, the sound choking itself in her throat with what might have even been a sob. She masked her smile with another wince and another shrug. "You gonna fight the whole negaverse and keep them off my back? No, sweetness. You can just keep being you. I'll take the beatings because I can. If it really bothered me, I wouldn't power up anymore." And it was true. Hopeite wasn't against and was in fact guilty of taking more than her fair share of mental health days. "They're hurting me because of me. I guess you help by just staying... you. And being careful. I'm glad I ran into you, in a way. I can warn you now." Hopeite turned her expression sad suddenly, conjuring tears into her eyes and casting her eyes to the ground. "This means," she began slowly, "that we won't be able to see each other again. I can't put you in danger like this... and it's not fair to you to look after me. I mean what are you going to do, follow me around when we're powered? Some kind of check in check out system?" Hopeite laughed like the idea might have been absurd, but it was a seed. The more in control of the situation Harmonia felt, the better. The more power she seemed to be giving her, the more at ease she would feel about what was happening. The more Hopeite would be able to hurt her later.

“If I have to I will.” She remarked with the naive hope of a child. “I am not going to just….just stand around here and watch as the beat you. That’s horrible! It doesn’t make sense. You’re part of the same team. I would…..we would never do that to you. Ever.” Harmonia wasn’t sure what to do. She had a strong urge to pace,a nd pace she did.
One, two, three, four, turn. One, two, three, four, turn.
She paced and thought and listened to what Hopeite continued to say. Her mind kept going back to trying to convince Hopeite that purification was the best course. The sooner the better. It was the only way she’d be safe. To be free.
But Harmonia knew Hopeite needed to want it. Unlike corruption which could be forced upon the victim, purification had to be wanted from the bottom of the heart.
“Wait...why is that funny?” She caught up with the conversation, stopping her pacing immediately. “We could pick random places to meet up each week. That way they wouldn’t be able to track us down at easily. Then we can keep tabs on each other. I can make sure you’re alright.” She beamed at Hopeite. “I think it’s the best plan we have at the moment. We can figure something better out down the road if we need to!” Harmonia was practically dancing on the tips of her toes at the notion. It would work. She was sure of it! Plus, it would guarantee she could spend more time trying to talk Hopeite into purifying.

And there it was. The seed Hopeite planted took root with speed and efficiency and bloomed into the exact idea Hopeite had wanted it to. She kept her expression open, however, lips hanging slack as Harmonia spoke. It was like she could hardly believe that Harmonia was suggesting. Slowly, she began to nod her understanding, closing her mouth at last as she seemed to consider the new information. With a weekly meeting, Hopeite would never have to seek Harmonia out. Each week, she would be there at some preordained spot, waiting for the older woman. That gave her a whole week to plan and strike. To concoct narratives for Harmonia to devour. It was perfect. And Harmonia was playing her part perfectly. Hopeite's expression of shock melted into one of soft gratitude as Harmonia solidified their plans in her own mind. As Harmonia nearly danced with anticipation, Hopeite followed her with her eyes. She so wanted to follow suit, her own pulse was quickening as things began to fall into place. She couldn't have asked for this to go better. She was so easily suggestible, so easily molded and modified. To create a new breed with her as their progenitor would be nothing if this was any indicator. Hopeite reached out for Harmonia's hands, her own shaking with the force of her anticipation. "Really..." her voice cracked without her even meaning to let it, "I mean I can't possibly ask you to risk something like that for me... remember what I am... but... you would do that? For me?"

Harmonia smiled. “I’ve told you before I would. If I didn’t want to do this I wouldn’t have said anything. Besides, I want to make sure you’re alright. If we don’t plan meetings I’ll be worried sick about you or hunting down every Lt. I sense hoping it’s you. This way we have a set plan and I know if you miss a check in that something is likely up.” What she would do if Hopeite missed a check-in she wasn’t exactly sure, but that was something she’d have to deal with if it ever came to that.
Clasping her hands behind her back, the teen pondered. “Where to meet up next week? What day and time too?” She wrinkled her nose as she thought. “I can meet about any night but it needs to be around midnight or a bit later.” Harmonia still needed to sneak out each night and midnight was usually a good time to assume her parents were well asleep.
“Do you have any preferences?” Tilting her head ever so slightly she looked at Hopeite with green eyes. “I mean, we can also probably switch stuff around on a weekly basis if we need to depending on schedules.”Sweenys_Revenge Short tag but omg am I tired. crying

And Hopeite wouldn't have to worry when she wasn't in character that every Eternal that she felt was Harmonia creeping up to call her bluff. She smiled at her gloved hands, the expression a ghost on her face as she seemed to consider it. Hopeite willed tears to her eyes after a moment; they came easier now, nearly unbidden... she was getting good at this. Hopeite was growing more and more accustomed to this woman that she had crafted, the character slipping over her shoulders like a warm blanket, sinking into her skin with all of the warmth and comfort of a warm bed on a cold night. Quickly, she flicked them from her eyes, careful not to disrupt her carefully applied make up. "You really are too good," Hopeite sighed, the crack in her voice unplanned but... welcome all the same. Her transparent smile gained corporeality as the silent seconds ticked by, finally manifesting in a soft grin that she painted into her eyes. When she finally looked up at Harmonia, her face was a gentle sunrise. When she spoke, there was a whisper of something shimmering in her voice, something dangerous and hopeful. "Let's um... let's stick to the weekends. That way you aren't beat for school. So next friday? 1:00? We can meet by the cafe. Maybe I can pick up something for us to... I don't know... munch on while we meet."

The tears. The crack in Hopeite's voice. All of it was heartbreaking to Harmonia. It was like the woman didn't know what friendship was and what friends would do for one another. "It's what friends are for." She remarked with a cheerful smile, her eyes betraying her cheerfulness with their touch of sorrow. "I hope our plan works. It should."
And plans were being made. "Weekends are good." She nodded. "1:00 should work. It'll be late enough that my parents should be well asleep by then."
At the mention of snacks, Harmonia grinned. "That sounds great! Chatting is always better with some food to go along with it. It'll be like a girl's night." She giggled softly at the idea of her and Hopeite having a lovely evening out together just enjoying each other's company. It was going to be lovely! She couldn't wait!
"This will be the best!" Energy bubbled from the Eternal.
The sound of an alarm going off caught her attention. She huffed and reached into her fuku, extracting her senshi phone. "Oh shoot. It's getting late." She scrunched her nose up at the thought. "I have a test tomorrow so I need to get some decent sleep." Turning off the annoying alarm, Harmonia returned the phone to it's home.
"So. 1am at the cafe on Friday." She said to confirm their plans one last time and to solidify the date in her brain.
