 Oiche sighed and placed her hands on her hips as she looked around the room she and a couple others were in charge of. It was nearing haunted hallows and apparently her class had been chosen to create a haunted house. As a bunch of teenagers they of course wanted to have the best haunted house out there. Somehow it had gotten out what her dad did for a living and that she herself could see and hear ghosts. So of course she was pushed into helping out the class. So here she was standing in what was considered room 1-c waiting for the rest of her team to come, well actually for one of the members to show up. Most of the group couldn’t actually come today but they did have a month to get everything ready. They just wouldn’t get any say in the theme or planning.

 Helios sighed how had he gotten roped into this again? Oh yea he was in the class assigned to set up one of the haunted houses for haunted hallows. He sighed again he didn't really want to be there, he would have much rather been at the pool doing swimming practice. He had even tried to get out of this but no luck there. He looked over at the hybrid who the other students said could hear ghosts. Helios rolled his eyes, just because the hybird looked a little spooky didn't mean others needed to make stuff up about them. Helios went over to them and held out his hand if he had to do this he was going to do it right. "Hi I'm Helios." He said since he didn't remember the hybird's name even though they likely were in the same classes together. Helios zoned out of so many of his classes because he would rather be swimming. You name it chances were Helios wanted to swim instead.

Hearing some one walk in Oiche let out a sigh of relief. She was starting to think after getting roped into doing this that none of her group was going to show up. Sure the others had really good excuses but you really couldn't do anything by yourself. Of course that probably wouldn't stop her. She'd find some work to do. However now that one of her teammates was here, she regretfully didn't remember their name at all. It was a problem some times with all the classes and electives one had to go through. Ah well introductions normally came anyways so she would hopefully learn it soon. "Hi there Helios. I'm oiche. thank you for actually coming. The others it looked like had to bail today." Oiche replied.

Helios shook his head "Yea I'm sure we would all like to be doing something other than building a haunted house, but hey the freshlings will love it I'm sure and it could be fun. Did you have an idea where to start?" Helios looked around to see if they already had all the supplies they needed to start building and decorating. He wasn't sure if they had painting or building they needed to do as well. Helios didn't see a reason to push to be the leader, he wouldn't have put it on Oiche if there was someone else though he was pretty sure by the rumors the rest of the class had already named Oiche as the leader of this project. As if a nightmare or daydream that looked spooky couldn't be into dolls and flowers, or a daydream who was pastel and pretty couldn't run a morg and funeral home. Helios knew that wasn't true he had met Miss Esther and knew the litch was very pretty in colors but had a sad job, least in his book. She didn't seem to mind it at all. Helios shook his head and turned back to Oiche. "So where should we start?"

"that is true, but at the same time I think some of it was we want to bring good memories back to Haunted hallows. So everyone is trying extra hard this year, or at least thats the vibe I am getting from it." Oiche replied while Helios looked over what she had brought.
"I dont have much in the way of supplies because today was to try to find out what kind of room what we were supposed to be doing. From who I could contact they basically said pick what ever we want and they would go from there.
i know you guys dont want to be here. I think thats shared by a lot of people so the thing is to make it fun. Our theme for this room should be something that interests us. like if you like running we could do a haunted forest trail. have one of the actors running through and then have something snatch them and drag them off. Put low growling sounds and other creepy noises and add blinking lights for eyes. Things like that." Oiche answered.

Helios nodded "Your right Oiche it is our responsibility to make this the best Haunted Hallows we can." Helios nodded firmly. They were right this was important after what had happened at the end of the last haunted hallows. Helios sat down and grabbed his notebook out of his backpack and started writing out notes. "Well going with that theme idea, maybe you could play the victim and I could play a werewolf grab you and drag you off? That would be scary right?" Helios didn't know much about haunted houses but he was willing to sit here as long as they needed to in order to figure this out. "Or what about a classic haunted house theme with ghosts, vampires, werewolves, stuff like that we could all dress up and do different improve things?"

Oiche barely kept from smiling. Most people would have probably tried to make her the monster that did the grabbing. She knew she looked rather spooky. So it was nice to have some one say she should be the normal type. "That could work. when the others come back we could start working on a scary woods type. It would be fun to do a haunted lagoon as well, but that might be too much work trying to figure out how to bring water into the room. A creepy forest is a bit easier to build. Maybe we can also find a way to bring in the other monsters such as ghosts or vampires." Oiche pondered. "there is a lot to work with."

Helios smiled a little and then nodded. He considered Oiche's thought on a haunted lagoon. "Well, what if we built a fake lagoon without actual water, like a wooden box." Helios drew a rectangular shape and then started to doodle some pictures of water and reeds at the bottom of the page. "Or maybe we could build this and put a pond cover in the bottom and fill it with water since I'm a nixie that would be cool if you don't mind wearing a bathing suit for the attack and getting wet?" He chuckled "I could be a swamp monster maybe." That would add in Helios' favorite thing water which would make this more fun in his view. "And it's not like we have a small budget with the school's aid."

Oiche had seen the small spark when she had mentioned water. She hadn't used lagoon in her example because swimming didn't have to necessarily be a nixie sport. So haunted lagoon it was. Hmm actually that gave her an idea. She briefly pulled out the buildings blueprints. "Well we have the biggest room. We could add a divider here so that when the customers come in everyone has to get on a boat. Combine the two ideas of have this section here be the creepy forest. We'll get some of our group members that couldn't be here today to be the noisemakers, creepy glowy eyes from the trees. I could be a tour guide and if you don't mind the swimming and being the lagoon monster then what we can have is one of those staged things where I guide them through the room but near the exit you grab me and 'pull me into the swamp. It'll be some work but we do have a little over a month to get things done. I think we can pull it off." Oiche suggested pointing to different things and writing on the prints. They were a copy to mark up luckily. "I think I can draw up what ever we finalize for the next meeting so we can get started."

Helios smiled a little more as he listened to Oiche lay out the plan it was a good plan and he knew he could handle that much swimming. "That sounds like a great plan, I can handle that much swimming I swim all the time, swim team type stuff." Helios said firmly When Oiche mentioned the next meeting Helios started gathering his stuff. "Sounds good do you want to go over anything else? Or go and get a snack or something?" Helios asked in a friendly tone, he didn't normally take time away from swimming for anything but Oiche was a being worth taking some time on.

"Sounds good to me as Well. I'll start some sketches to show next time" Oiche replied. It was a good point to stop for the day. They had a plan to move forward and they couldn’t really plan too much more without the group. Oiche could sketch out designs and illustrations of what she had imagined for next time. She admitted it seemed like it might be pretty fun.
“I think right now is a good to,e to stop. We don’t want to get too far ahead for when the rest of the group actually can make it. A snack might be nice?” Oiche relied. It would help dispel some of the roughness that came with working with someone you had just met right off the bat.
