◊ Usernames: DarkenWoodWolf and Leena-Chan ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Blue (DarkenWoodWolf) | Purple (Leena-Chan) ◊ Dire's Name: Castor ◊ Color: Blue ◊ Nature: Obsessive ◊ Entry: Castor is a bit of a know-it-all, and prides himself on being the one in charge. Even though it is a strain on his fragile grip on his calm self. So long as his brother around, he can be the obsessive, calm, focused 'alpha'' of his small, two wolf pack. Just him and his brother, it had always just been him and his brother. They were all each other needed. And while Pollux was his beta, it was Pollux who kept him from spiraling into a never ending thoughts. The twists and turns of his mind could be hazardous, especially if he didn't have his brother around. It was a good thing, though, because his mind could keep his place in the world, the thing he did best was look after his brother. Having to keep his brother close was important because, mostly, the other wolf wandered off and got lost. And it was Cast's job to find him, to guide him back home. When they had a home to go too. Which wasn't very often, considering they moved from place to place, too few in number too hold a place of their own, but unwilling to join the packs they had come across. Maybe these new lands would home some place for them to call home.
◊ Dire's Name: Pollux ◊ Color: Purple ◊ Nature: Carefree ◊ Entry: Since the day they were born, Pollux was a happy go-lucky kind of wolf, free-spirited and easily brought to awe by the world around him. One might question if this air-headed nature would cause the male the float off into the sky above but luckily he had his twin. It was only his grounded twin that kept Pollux out of the worst dangers this world held and focused him long enough to complete tasks at paw. There was no other he was more loyal to than Castor. Pollux is warm and friendly with most but the bond he shares with Castor was special. This purple male was optimistic and full of hope, so long as his twin was nearby. Distraction should be Pollux’s middle name; if it moves, if it shines, or both, you can bet it has captured his fancy. It is this beautiful shiny that causes him to get lost often. He tends to wander first and notice later if he is separated from Castor.

◊ Usernames: ChezaRain & Yushika ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Blue (ChezaRain) | Purple (Yushika) ◊ Dire's Name: Akh ◊ Color: Purple ◊ Nature: Confused ◊ Entry: Akh, while more mentally present than his brother, struggles with his own identity. After years of their mother claiming only one of them existed at a time, often switching which brother she believed was real, it's done a toll on him. Combined with Kham's manipulation of his life, which he's unaware is Kham's fault, Akh doesn't believe he's real half the time. Life keeps changing, and his world keeps altering in ways he can't understand. One second other wolves claim they saw him at night in a place he wasn't, or in another they claim he's said something he knows he hasn't. It's started to twist him, making him anxious and depressive, as well as hostile at times when the confusion becomes a bit too much. While he used to be a friendly and outgoing wolf, he's turning into a submissive and quiet wolf as he begins to doubt his own existance. Akh will do anything to validate his own existence, and thus is eager to do what he's told in hopes that, if he does, it is proof he is real. He's become afraid to speak his mind, as if that'll somehow manipulate the situation in his favor. Deep down, Akh wonders if life is even real, and it is driving him into an anxious and lonely place mentally.
◊ Dire's Name: Khamsin ◊ Color: Blue ◊ Nature: Dazed ◊ Entry: Kham is... not all there most of the time, sleeping sporadically [or not at all] in an effort to shadow his brother's every move from a distance, never letting on he's following him. The only time he truly exists is the in the darkness of night, the only time his pelt resembles his "real" brother. In an effort to cement his existence in his own mind, Kham goes out of his way to take what his brother has, and makes a habit of twisting things his brother might have said during the day to prove that he personally has a voice to be heard. His brother has a mate? He must bed the mate in the night and flee as she sleeps. His brother joins a pack and shares his wealth of knowledge? Kham must take this knowledge and alter it, correcting what "he said in the daylight" to something more believable to his current self. If any were to bring up something the brother had said to Kham, he would deny it or "correct himself" as he saw fit to, always confusing those who would otherwise befriend his poor darker brother.
◊ Usernames: Caitlyn Hellstorm & Rein_Carnation ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Blue (Caitlyn Hellstorm) | Purple (Rein_Carnation) ◊ Dire's Name: Connel ◊ Color: Blue ◊ Nature: Steadfast ◊ Entry: Connel first born from his brother Connor is confident and brash carrying a hidden secret of shyness and insecurity deep within.
Since others in the pack view him as an Alpha, he feels like he had to be no-nonsense kind of male that is always confident as hell (sometimes too confident to the point where he's obnoxious without realizing it). He is really skilled in fighting or defending himself but he's a peaceful kind of male that doesn't really want to fight so he will use whatever means he has to get out of it, primarily his words to scare them off or spin things around on him. He has that kind of skills with words where he seems impossible to argue with because he can easily turn things around on others but with the ones that have gotten through his prickly wall will find a huge softy. He will do everything for his loved ones but won't hesitate to put them on the spot if they get too cocky or get themselves into trouble. He is still trying to find that balance between his Alpha self and his soft side so it's still an internal struggle for him. With other wolves, he subtly avoids eye contact due to his shy side but will force himself to look into wolves' eyes if necessary to assert his position or dominance. Connel is a wolf of many trades. He can be a scout (silent and able to find places to watch others along with having extensive knowledge of the land surrounding him), hunter because he's very swift and uses strategy to take prey down, nanny because he's very patient with pups and is willing to teach them everything he knows, alpha because of his strong leadership skills and ability to defend his pack.
However, he's not so perfect like he wanted to be. He gets anxiety attacks but he internalizes it and fights with himself to ensure it doesn't even show at all. He doesn't have a full grasp of his emotions so sometimes he will come off as aloof, uncaring and cold male when in reality, he has no idea how to express his emotions properly. If you listen to his speech carefully, you would be able to sense a hint of stutter or tremor in his voice if he allows his insecurity take over.
◊ Dire's Name: Connor ◊ Color: Purple ◊ Nature: Capricious ◊ Entry: Connor born second of Connel has always had a confident streak to him over other wolves creating an undaunting persona about himself. While being his brother and alpha Connor will overstep boundaries in tendencies of competition. Be it hunting, fishing, or other pack duties Connor always feels the need to shine above anyone within the pack proving his own form of dominance even over his brother. He will also step up to situations without haste defining a "capricious" nature if given the chance. Connor also loves tracking as well as hunting especially when he's "near" his brother. He finds himself evenly matched giving more positive outlooks to how a successful task will play out.
However, within his ball of excitement Connor is lazier than most of the pack spending most of his days sleeping if no excitement revitalizes him. He grows bored easily with no interests causing him to sulk mentally. This is why he prefers to be by his brother's side to gather both attention and admiration. Within the grandeur of a hunt, his energy is well-placed causing Connor to take the lead unexpectantly. This usually lands his discipline, in the long run, keeping his thoughts rampant. Deep in his mind, Connor knows his brother's situation keeping other's off the trail. Persistent and overly protective at times he can swiftly deter others from the truth. This is the special bond both Connor and Connel shares knowing each other's weaknesses and strengths despite the hierarchy between both.

◊ Well I Guess It Went Like This... ◊
(sorry for all the words!)
◊ Our Backstory: On a windy, wintry night the boys were born to two wolves who had been separated from their pack. Imp and Twi's parents were lost from their pack, due to the ferocity of the winter snow storm. The weather had been extreme as of late in the pack's usual territory, and the collective decision had been made to travel out of the range of the fierce weather. However, the boy's mother was heavily pregnant - but the alpha of the pack made the promise that she would be protected and had a guard close by to help with transporting the expectant couple. Yet, when the winds and snow picked up unexpectedly the couple was separated from the rest of the group, forcing them to have to find shelter fast. The commotion, combined with the stress of being pregnant while lost from the rest of her friends and family threw Imp and Twi's mother into labor.
With two young pups, one born hours before the other, the couple could not leave to search for their lost pack. The winter storm stayed whipping around them, even though it was late March. At the beginning of April, the boys were becoming more aware of their surroundings, loving their parents deeply and following their every order. However, as the days and weeks drew on, Imp and Twi's parents gradually grew sicker - being less apt to provide for their two young sons. While their mother was in a worse state than their father, both were obviously in declining health. Each was weak, disoriented - sometimes forgetting who they were entirely. Often the couple was too tired to move. Imp, being older, learned about the sickness from his father during one of his father's more lucid moments. His father called the disease, "Catching Midnight". A disease brought on by living too closely to a spot that had been overly decimated by the humans in their destruction of the world. Imp's father also pulled his son close, placing one paw over one of Imp's small dark-purple ones, warning him that catching Midnight was nearly always fatal.
Imp couldn't bear to tell Twi about the fate of their parents, and they were both forced to watch as their parents slowly wasted away into nothing. The boys spent days crying over the death of the parents before Imp was finally strong enough to bury them behind the small hovel that they had taken shelter in for the months since their birth. Imp forced himself to act as Twi's new father-figure, taking the lead when searching for civilization and other wolves, as they left their birth home. Twi followed his brother mechanically, too broken from the death of their parents, but resolved to hold ever tighter to his relationship with his brother.

◊ Usernames: Laurelei Kirsch & PixelDeerest ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Blue (Laurelei Kirsch) | Purple (PixelDeerest) ◊ Dire's Name: Twi ( As in "Twilight Blue" ) ◊ Color: Blue ◊ Nature: Immature ◊ Entry:
Twi was never quite able to get past the death of his and Imp's parents. He knew that catching Midnight was almost always a death sentence and that there was no wolf in the world who could cure it, but he always felt as though he should have been able to do more, even though he was just a pup when they passed. That first winter, he relied entirely upon his older brother, and it made him feel even worse. Looking back, he has no idea how Imp was able to pull them both through the cold and desolation of those icy months. Somehow, though, they made it, and now, a couple of years later, they're used to being a two-wolf pack. Twi still feels like the lesser of the two, but the brothers keep themselves occupied with jokes and general mischief, so he doesn't have to think about those feelings very often. Especially when they're being chased out of a pack's territory for scaring the alpha's pups one too many times.
From the beginning, Twi was too shocked to have riled against his brother's sudden choice to become a stand-in father. Therefore, he fell into place behind his brother naturally - and grew used to the constant governing presence. However, because of his brother's decision to take on all of the responsibility, Twi felt that he didn't need to share in that responsibility at all. Instead, he allowed his immature nature to take over, where he would often be the brother making the bad choices and running off ahead, much to the chagrin of Imp. Yet, Twi's love and respect for his brother also leads him to go to impossible lengths to try to impress his brother. This desire to impress, and make his brother proud, usually ends in failure whenever Twi's half-baked plans for his 'feats of strength', or intelligence, or daring, or ect go wrong. With constant failure, and Twi's perception of always being in his brother's shadow, the younger brother had developed a inadequacy or inferiority complex, where he feels as if he is far below his brother in terms of maturity. Twi wishes that he were better at being an adult, while his brother Imp is naturally good at it - yet it is Twi's own perception of himself which is holding him back. His own desire to be more mature sometimes leads to a volatile temper, but only in the case when past mistakes or moments where Twi was considered the butt of the joke are brought up in conversation.
This feeling of inferiority also makes Twi intensely dependent on his brother, as Twi believes that he would not be able to survive without his brother's know-how and guidance. Despite his dependency, Twi loves his brother from the bottom on his heart - and fears that his brother might abandon him one day for someone who isn't so needy and immature. Twi's abandonment issues, as well as his status as being the younger sibling, steer him away from being interested in dating or finding a potential mate. Therefore, when Imp begins the search to find a mate, Twi is appalled, disgusted, and hurt that his brother is making an effort to bring someone new into their lives.
The brothers bicker often about Twi's unabashed hostility towards Imp's desire to date - and the fights usually end in Twi loudly saying that the mates aren't a replacement for their dead parents. Furthermore,Twi's feelings of jealousy (and his fear of being abandoned) lead him to drive a wedge between the potential mates and his brother. Twi prefers to do this by planting vicious, snaking thoughts in the minds of his victims - leading them to believe that Imp is just using them. Or, Twi plays tricks on the potential mates - such as leading them into the middle of the forest, and saying that his brother will be meeting them there soon. Yet, when Imp finds out about Twi's meddling in his love life, it drives a unintentional wedge between the brothers instead, causing Twi to run off and get hurt (after attempting to prove that he can survive by himself).

◊ Dire's Name: Imp ( As in "Imperial Purple" ) ◊ Color: Purple ◊ Nature: Overprotective ◊ Entry:
Since taking on the role of replacement father-figure for his younger brother, Imp has been too afraid to let anything happen to his younger sibling. Often, Imp will take on the more terrifying roles of hunting and fighting in order to keep his younger brother from the harsh realities of the world. The relationship between the brothers is strong, resolute, and complex. While they both long to be independent, they both have a strong dependency on one another for comfort and out of fear of losing the other. However, both brothers have a penchant for trickery and joking around with each other, and other wolves - perhaps to distract themselves from their own minds.
While Imp may appear as the confident, level-headed brother, on the inside he is always second guessing himself and his decisions. Imp often believes that his efforts to replace his late-father, for Twi's sake, are all just an act that he is just barely holding together. Therefore, Imp is in a cycle of feeding his impostor complex, where he believes that he is not really fit for the role that he is taking. Furthermore, while Imp may be mature and confident, he often envies his brother's ability to have fun and make the most of anyvsituation, because Imp's own constant anxiety about his brother's mortality keeps him from relaxing enough to enjoy the present.
Yet, while Imp is ever the overbearing older brother, he is more apt to forming relationships with wolves (other than his brother) - while Twi is more likely to push back against forming those new relationships. Because of his ability to socialize more freely, Imp is beginning to recognize his attraction for other wolves and his desire to begin searching for a mate. This search will inevitably lead to quarrels with his younger brother, who will feel as if his brother is trying to find a replacement for him. However, Imp's luck with finding a mate will be very low - as each potential candidate will be driven away by Twi's pranks, insults, or snarky remarks. Similarly, Imp's attention for his potential mates will be split with his attention for his brother - where anytime that Twi does something stupid (thus getting himself in trouble) means that Imp would need to forego hanging out with his date in order to attend to his brother. This lack of attention for the potential mate would mean that Imp often gets dumped, or told, "You love your brother more than you love me!"

◊ Future Plots: ◊ Finding Imp a mate (and Twi getting jealous) ◊ Imp's potential mate's getting angry at the lack of attention ◊ Twi dealing with his feelings of inadequacy, and fear of being replaced ◊ Imp falling for a reoccurring potential mate ◊ Twi running away and getting hurt ◊ Imp and Potential Mate (who is a medic) finding and healing Twi ◊ Twi begrudgingly admitting to liking/tolerating the reoccurring potential mate
◊ Usernames: Ruhane Chiisai ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Purple ◊ Dire's Name: Ocean's Ryse ◊ Color: Purple ◊ Nature: Defensive/Quick-tempered ◊ Entry: Contrary to his brother, Ryse is quick to rile. He may not always be angry when he does, as he's actually quick to join any mood. This boy will play with pups just as quickly as he will join a warparty or go hunting. The only reason he hasn't STARTED wars is... usually his brother, the calming half of the pair. Ryse tends towards the passionate side of things, and if no emotion is presented, will usually display compassion as a default, but he has a tendency to take comments wrong or poorly, and rarely reacts well if he things someone has dared impugn his or his brother's honour.
◊ Usernames: Riffler ◊ Which wolf would you prefer to have? Blue ◊ Dire's Name: River's Set'h ◊ Color: Blue ◊ Nature: non-confrontational/passive ◊ Entry: Set'h is a calm wolf, who prefers a peaceful atmosphere to the lively ones. His choice of company is generally of the quieter variety, and he's got all the aggression of a blind pup. He tends to avoid confrontation where possible by walking away, or simply discontinuing the conversation, and will do his best to break off uncomfortable discussions and interactions, while at the same time, avoiding any sort of intentional insult. However, as Ryse has noted, Set'h is not a wolf to be trifled with. If you push the right buttons long enough, the river will offer no more mercy than the ocean. Although he can seem distant to some, he is merely thinking. This wolf's mind is always active, and may not be on the topic at hand, in a given grouping.
