--- Kieran worked hard to fix the area that he had trapped. Now that the sun was rising high in the sky it was time for him to begin heading home. It was a gut-wrenching feeling knowing that he had failed in his quest, but the man knew if he didn’t return soon then the worry he caused her would not be worth his pride. Sighing, Kieran straightened up and surveyed the area one final time. It seemed to be in order and the dirt was firmly packed into place now so that no creature could fall into it easily.
Especially not that little...limbara? Kieran quirked a brow as something with bright blue eyes darted around a rock. “No...way.” The Yaeli quickly straightened his satchel and began to briskly walk towards where he saw a bouncing shadow, “Come back here, little one.” The tamer slipped on some rocks before finally sliding down to cut off the small limbara that was trying to wiggle into a crevice for hiding.
What was a baby doing out here? Kieran could only guess, but then again he remembered the fallen limbara he had seen earlier that day. Was she… That pattern did look awfully familiar. Kieran pursed his lips thoughtfully before skirting around. He could keep the little one tied down for now while he surveyed the area.
“I just need to grab you first...come here.” Kieran frowned as he fought with the wiggling limbara, “This is for your own good trust me.” As he pulled the baby came free and both went tumbling down a slight incline until they laid there in the dirt. The baby was whining though and Kieran’s heart softened as he tied it to a small tree, “Don’t worry, I’m looking for you…”
And surely enough that had been the mother...Kieran’s gut twisted as he laid a few branches across the fallen creature, “Don’t worry I’ll take care of your baby.” He whispered before offering a small prayer for the creature and turning away.

When he came back the little one was obviously not pleased and squeaked at him. Despite his heavy heart the man couldn’t help smiling at the little display, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have left you.” Had the gods finally noticed his efforts? The Yaeli could only shrug away the thought before digging into his satchel, “Here...try this.” He held out a snack and watched as the baby’s gaze brightened and it reached for it. It was still young though and anything not soft would be hard on it.
“I’ll have to find an herbal drink for you. I’m sorry it won’t be milk…” Still he couldn’t help smiling as he held the little limbara close. Finally things were starting to come together. He just hoped that the rest of the plan would fall into place and that this little guy would be adorable when the time came and that he would grow strong and with love his future owner.
It was perfect, a young one to bring up to be a good mount. Kieran smiled again as he rubbed the small snout that belonged to the creature. Letting out a squeak of surprise the limbara pulled its head back before reaching out again for the small treat that Kieran continued to hold out for it.
