Logos couldn't sleep, wandering the halls of this unfamiliar place. She was attempting to map it all out, but couldn't find paper or a writing implement to carry out her plan. Her colorful heels clicked against the black marble floor, Logos scowling at her own reflection for a moment.
Whose idea was it to outfit me in heels and a dress? A short dress. This is terrible for running.
Lesath mentioned they'd have more power and stamina in this form, which Logos certainly didn't mind, but the heels? The heels bothered her. A frustrated grunt escaped her when she looked up to see the hooded senshi she'd stood behind earlier in the dining hall. She didn't even catch the woman's name. Even as she approached, Logos bent her head slightly in greeting.
"Good evening, I assume. Are you unable to sleep as well?"

Sleep was not the first thing on Laverna's mind this night. Just like visiting a new place for the first time back on Earth, there were sure to be secrets that only came alive when the rest of the castle dosed. After leaving Diadem in their room, Laverna had taken to the halls of the castle. For now, she was examining the crystals that appeared over the windows. The way they shined...she couldn't help but reach out to them. "It's hard to sleep when your mind is active." Laverna responded, her hand slowly sliding down the crystal. "Too much is going on to rest peacefully without answers." For a moment, Laverna didn't seem like the playful woman she normally was. Right now, she almost seemed...afraid. "But we aren't going to get them tonight I believe. Laverna. And you are?"

"Logos." was the quiet reply. Bright eyes followed Laverna's hand across the odd crystals. They covered the doors, the mirrors, the windows... Very alien, very unfamiliar. Logos didn't quite trust all of this. "Do you believe we'll receive answers soon? I didn't speak with the Queen, but her mention of a plague outside is concerning. Do you think she's keeping the plague out, or keeping everything else in?" Without pen and paper, Logos wasn't able to create the map she'd been hoping to. Stumbling around in unfamiliar territory such as magic wasn't helpful either. "I was very recently awakened... just a few days ago. Have you been in the Court long, Laverna? Lesath explained some of the basics, and I have a feeling she was doing well to ease me into everything and then..." She gestured to the hallway. "...all of this happened."

"Logos..."Laverna tested the name before her eyes flickered towards the new senshi. "My apologies then." Leaving the words at that, she stepped toward, closing the distance between herself and the new woman. "I have been a dark mirror now for..." One hand came up. Slowly she began to count on her hand. "Just over a year now I believe. Give or take a few weeks. But who keeps track of all that!" The smile in her eyes was an attempt. "The Prince brought me into the court and gave me my mask. I owe him much." Two hands then came up and pulled the hood off her head, exposing her hair pulled back into a ponytail. "So far he's the only one I've ever found to be worthy of listening to but that is my option." "To your other matter...." Laverna then turned back to the crystals and gazed at them. "I do not believe we will receive any answers. Anyone trying to find them the easy way is a fool. The Queen, if that even is what she is, has no reason to provide us with anything. She could have killed us when we arrived but she didn't. Why?"

"Just over a year?" she parroted. Laverna must know quite a few things. "The Prince is... Remarque, correct? The blonde man, who Lesath is in a relationship with? If he is a Prince, I see he wears no regalia and no crown. He feels just the same as the others who have the black wings. Why is that, Laverna?" Could he be hiding his royal status? Is it indicated in some other way Logos hadn't noticed? Certainly, all the highest-ranking Court members wore those black wings, but Remarque felt no different than anyone else with those wings. Curious. Logos nodded to Laverna's judgment of the situation. She crossed her arms and frowned slightly. "I think you're right to be suspicious. She could very well have allowed us to die, but didn't, and brought us here. I cannot find any clocks, so this Queen must not have much need to track time. I've never heard of such a place as the Gresit Quandrant. Perhaps she has some other plan for us. She mentioned a plague..." If she saw the Queen again, Logos had a mind to ask about that.

"Bingo." Laverna cocked her head at the woman picking up on the fact that their prince appeared just the same as they did. "Both he and Leto....the poor excuse for a Princess...have the ability to shift forms. Consider it a..." One hand came up and she waved it as if she was trying to find the right word. "Protection of sort? No that still doesn't sound right." Laverna's arms crossed over her chest and she just shook her head. "Basically, consider it a blessing not to have to walk around with very large wings coming out of them that could break everything they walk past. While hysterical to picture them as a bull in a china shop, could also be very costly. " "Though Logos, I will warn you not to jump to conclusions on things you have never heard of before. You walked through a mirror and gained powers. How hard is it to believe then that there are places we have never heard of on Earth?" Her hands dropped back to her side. Laverna was looking away from the other senshi, almost lost in her own mind. "You will be surprised rather quickly how 'normal' seems to become redefined. " "But..." With a sigh, she glanced back at the other woman. "I have a doubt about exposing us to the plague she mentioned. Though it does beg the question, what could she want from us in return. Hospitality is never free."

"Leto is a Princess? I did not know that either. She appeared to me in a form not unlike Avior or Acubens, with the same aura. The fact that they can change between forms was something I did not know. So they must be concealing that power." Logos took note of this, imagining Leto and Remarque sprouting huge wings from their back when they took on the form of a Royal. If their auras were incredible at their Eternal rank, what would it feel like to witness a Prince or Princess? Surely, concealing this power was important, strategically. Logos thought she might do the same thing were she in their position - tactical advantage. Surprise the opponent with a burst of power. Very wise. "Duly noted, Laverna. I'll be sure to increase my familiarity. I was only awakened a few days ago, so I have much to learn. What else can you tell me?" Logos' own theory had to do with the plague. This was Altea's defining reason for not leaving the castle, but they had so little information about what the plague was and its symptoms. Test subjects? Possibly, or the Dark Mirror Court were simply the closest things Altea could find to her own people. Still, Logos felt they lacked enough information to even theorize.

Laverna had to whistle at that. "A few days? And already thrown into the fire? My poor child but if only you knew the truth." Her voice had changed slightly from the whistle. While in her tone it was clear she was joking with Logos, there was a subtle hint in there that maybe, just maybe Laverna did feel sorry for the senshi. Or that could have been a mistake for a frog in her throat. Either way, the senshi of thieves came closer to the young woman and eyed her now more than she had. "Leto may be a Princess but in name only...to me." It was said with a huff expressing her thoughts on the firecracker of a woman. "But she is what she is and is one of our most powerful. Thankfully where she has a temper, Remarque has a brain." With a wave of a hand, she dismissed that train of thought. "But how much do you know? Who awoke you anyway?"

Logos squinted at the comment of being a child. "Hardly. I'll simply adapt, one way or the other. I won't let something like this divert my path." She crossed her arms and took time to really look at Laverna, to study her features. If she'd been in the Court for this long, Logos had a long journey ahead of her. She sought power, in a way, if only to prove she was worthy of the Court in the first place. Lesath was the number one to impress, in her mind. Leto, while being a Princess, was still relatively unknown to the cadet. Laverna's description of her being a tempestuous individual with incredible power made Logos lift an eyebrow. Leto sounded dangerous, in an unpredictable sort of way. Still, it wasn't Logos' business to wonder about these things. "I don't know much, I'm afraid. Lesath brought me into the Court, and she was explaining things slowly, when... all of this happened. I know we have magical powers, that some can walk through mirrors, that we need to keep a low profile but... only bits and pieces of other things. Is there some better way to learn, other than speaking to people? Is there a training session I could enroll in?"

"Hardly." Laverna had to snort at the very notion of a sort of training session. She had seen a large group of their court get together all of two or three times before now. Everything she knew came either from their Prince or piecing things together. Far too much else wasn't trustworthy. "The court likes to give off this idea of 'togetherness' but I have yet to see any proof of that. It's not to say it isn't there but I find several people's versions of this to either be suffocating or high school popular girls couple. Sadly I didn't get the invitation to their group so here I am. A thief in the night." Waving her hand in a very dismissive way, Laverna brushed it all off. "But I also prefer it that way. If the Prince's woman has taken you under her wing, sounds like you already have an in to everything you may want. She will see that you are taken care of."

"I see. So it's like high school all over again, from your perspective? That's... unfortunate." It certainly wasn't what Logos would have preferred. She crossed her arms and looked away for a moment, contemplating. The story she was getting from various members of the Court varied based on who she was talking to - there wasn't much of a cohesive narrative other than the fact that the Court didn't have an overarching goal, and that both Leto and Remarque were Princess and Prince, respectively. Lesath, her mentor, was the consort of the Prince. To Logos, she was just as important, regardless of her lack of royal status. She'd keep the status quo, for now. Unless Lesath ordered otherwise. Looking back up at Laverna, Logos gave her a respectful nod. "Laverna, I'd like to train with you in the future. I feel as though I could still learn much from you. For now though, I should probably get some sleep. It's been a pleasure, Laverna." Another respectful nod and Logos turned to walk back towards the dormitories. She needed some shut-eye if she were going to explore tomorrow.
