Embodied Flame:
With only the littlest of thought given, the body of this phoenix can be ignited by a large flame while remaining also in human form. Anything flammable that comes into contact with his body will be caught on fire. He can utilize this ability to shield himself from harm and also inflict serious damage to a foe. Unfortunately the weakness of this ability can be a deadly one at that. If he remains engulfed in the flames to long, he'll be consumed and burnt within. This can either lead to serious bodily damage or even death. Another trick to his flammable ability is that he can also focus the heat on one particular area. Instead of his entire body being engulfed, he can have his hand set to flames. It still carries the same amount of heat he'd utilize in his entire body along with the same weaknesses behind it.
It can only be maintained for ten minutes (5 posts) before he either dares to go longer into the power or he ceases the flames. This ability has a cool-down time for being used again. He requires a good thirty-forty minutes (10 posts) before it can be summoned up again.
Another flaw to this ability is it also ties in with his phoenix form. He can maintain the form but at a length of two hours before he has to change back. (15 posts) Otherwise as mention he can dare to stretch his phoenix form and most indefinitely perish from the inside out.

SECRETS
Bio: Artis was more or less raised in the slums of this world. His adopted father taught him a considerable amount of knowledge on knowing how to survive. Whether it be to talking his way out of a situation or perhaps fighting if needed be. He's never been given an opportunity in his life to becoming a nobleman nor would he. He was more or less taught to be grateful for what he gets. A roof over his head was a pure example. The thing is the phoenix desired for a more adventurous life. To travel from land to land and meet new people. It's practically how he saw himself in the future. Unfortunately things didn't go that way for half of his childhood.
When the outbreak happen with the eruption, Artis and his adoptive father scoured their way to safety. With the lava approaching them when they climbed the mountains, the young phoenix lost someone dear to him that day. Just as the flames came to almost his feet, his father took a good hold of Artis and thrown him up onto a large rock. What came next was seeing the burning, the smelling of his father being roasted alive by the lava. It was a horrific sight indeed to see. When the flames and the lava departed, Artis collected the remains of what would be his father's ashes and buried his adopted parent with tears in his eyes. He changed personality wise on that day but the commitment for him to travel hadn't changed.
So in the uprising of his childhood and fighting his way to adulthood, Artis set himself a task, a goal rather to visit each lands and see how this world would be for him. This was an honor to his father and a wish for himself.
