Dani had two problems; one, she was getting behind in English (and she hated English) and her parents were about to cut her lesiure time out unless she got a tutor; and two, she missed her new friend Connie, who was positive about everything. If her lesiure time was cut out, she couldn't patrol with Drew and Dria (who had offered to tutor her, but Mom and Dad said they had enough of their own problems to deal with. Besides, Connie's birthday was coming up.

Connie checked the address one last time as she rounded the street where Dani and her family currently lived. She couldn't help but sigh in relief, as she didn't take her skateboard today in worry of wanting to make a good first impression for her new young friend's family. Also being nervous because she hadn't really tutored before. Sure, she had taught people things, but not like this.. She shook it off, forcing a laugh as she made it to the door now, giving a nice firm knock. Sailor Hawk Sorry for such a long delay; I hope this reply is ok. ;w; <3

anime_girl10 It is fine smile sorry for my delay, I'm just getting used to being out on a month long break. Is mine ok?" Dani heard the knock and right away knew it was her friend Connie! She got up from the table, where she had all her English stuff strewn out. She had a huge grin on her face as she ran to the door and threw it open! "Hey, Connie. I've been waiting for you. Come on in!"

Connie smilely brightly when Dani opened the door, as if being hit by a wave a light. "Dani!" She laughed, giving the girl a tight hug before coming inside. "How have you been? Well besides the reason I came." Sailor Hawk Awe, well welcome back too! ^^ lol & it's good! biggrin

anime_girl10 Thank you! biggrin . This was started a while back Dani hugged her friend back just as tightly. "Well, Dria has some of her memory back, we three getting along well and we're all making new friends. I've missed you, and I hear it's someone's birthday soon." She smiled mischievously.

anime_girl10 I'm sorry this has taken so long. School and stuff. "Well." Dani looked down in shame. "The main reason I called you over is the schoolwork, but," here she grinned, "I did also want to do a little something for your birthday, so I got you a small cake-" the cake was literally small, it was a one or two serving size cake - "and a small gift.. it was all I could afford..."

Connie was worried at first until Dani grinned and explained herself, unable to hold back a laugh. "Awwe! Dani! Silly!" Connie hugged the girl tightly. "You didn't have to do that!! I hope it didn't cost too much." She frowned and pushed a little pouting but couldn't help but laugh again. Cake d id sound pretty amazing!

Dani laughed. She pulled up tothe table with her English work. "So," she said getting down to business. "I'm having trouble with identifiying the parts of a sentence. Could you help me with that, please?"

Connie smiled, joining Dani at the table. "Of course!" She said, looking over the paper, trying her best to help explain and making some notes for her. "I hope this can be helpful for you Dani."

After about a half hour, Dani decided to review what she had learned. "So, let's see. A noun, is a person, place or thing. Or concept. Like Love. The subject of the sentence is the noun that is specifically doing something. The verb is what the subject is actually doing. An article denotes which noun one is speaking of at the specific time, and almost always consists of 1 of 3 words: "the", "a", or "an". The direct object is what the subject is doing the verb to and the indirect object is any other noun. How is that so far?" Dani took a breath.

Connie chuckled a bit and gave Dani a nod with a smile. "Doing great! Think you're really getting it." She replied, happy with how fast Dani was able to get through the lesson. "Is there anything else you're unsure on?" Sailor Hawk Sorry for another long wait. v.v

Connie couldn't help but blush a bit, so surprised that Dani would put this much effort into their friendship already. Though Connie wouldn't complain, Dani being one of the special people she met after just moving here. "That sounds amazing!" She said, hugging on her. "Thank you for being so sweet." Sailor Hawk Pssh, nah. A week is nothing compared to my months. XD

Dani hugged her back. "I was new this town not too long ago, myself, so I welcome friends." She grinned. The cake was chocolate with buttercream icing. It had a golden crescent moon on it. "Interesting motif, huh? It was the only one I could afford." Dani tried not to show it but the motif had something of a meaning for her. She got out the gift which was wrapped in purple and white shiny paper. The, once, unwrapped was purple and white stationary, that had little pictures of people writing letters...
