Convincing Denebola to come with him when he sought out the negaverse agent hadn't been difficult. Sure, it had come with a scolding, because she was concerned about his safety considering everything he'd been going through when he had purged chaos from his starseed, but she was willing.

The super senshi never turned her back on people who needed her and he was thankful for that.

In the redhead's hand was her senshi phone, the screen unlocked as they waited for the lieutenant with an afghan to arrive, her fingers close to the distress call app just in case.

"I don't think you'll need that," Midgard said quietly, watching the woman as she fidgeted in place, his hands toying with his bracers to calm his own nerves.

"I hope not, but you can't be too safe." She retorted and he left it like that. She had a point, even if he was loathed to admit it. The likelihood of it being a trap was high, but they were determined to believe in the best of this near stranger.

"Do you see him?" She asked, breaking the silence after a few minutes passed.

"Not yet, but I think I feel something."

On a nearby dumpster, Chrysotile sat curled up in the shadows. He knew full well that any Order or Chaos aligned person would be able to sense where he was; it just felt safer hiding in the dark. He waited, as he had been for a number of nights, for the squire who had once been a Negaverse agent to return with his friend, the one who could help further explain purification and possibly provide a place to stay once he was freed from the Negaverse's influence.

What would it be like, to be free? He understood some things would be forgotten forever, but he was so fearful of losing the memory of his mother and little sister. He'd have a new name, a new identity; would they remember him? More importantly, would Quartz remember him? He prayed the answer to that latter was no.

The faint tickling of an Order aura ran up the back of Chrysotile's neck, and the lieutenant started from his reverie. Slipping off the top of the dumpster, he flattened himself against the brick wall abutting it, narrowing his eyes and summoning his all-but-useless afghan from Negaspace.

"I know you're there," he called out. May as well start the proceedings, if it wasn't Manheimr and his friend.

They could feel him, or what Midgard assumed was Chrysotile at least and when he revealed himself the knight visibly let out a sigh of relief. It was his voice that he recognized right away and the knight was stepping forward, the super hot on his heels to put them beneath the lamplight that barely lit the street.

"It's me," he stated, willing his voice to come out strong and smooth. When it did he felt a small swell of pride. "Manheimr," he added quickly, in case his voice was not distinct enough. The use of a name she was unfamiliar with earned him a look from Denebola that came in the form of pursed lips and an arched red brow but he shrugged, the look on his face implying that he would explain to her later.

Denebola still couldn't see the source of the voice, harsh shadows casting most of the alleyway into darkness thought she could make out the outline of someone pressed against the wall. With a intake of breath she stepped forward, wedges barely making any noise as she walked.

"He told me that you were looking for information," she started carefully, doing her best to relax while every part of her was tense and ready to fight if she needed to. "And that you needed help. I can offer you both." Her voice was steady and kind, where Midgard's shook a little when he took shaky inhales of breath.

"Please," the knight called, "come out."

So Manheimr had come. And he had brought someone who might be able to help, just as he had promised he would. Slowly Chrysotile emerged from the shadows, dragging his afghan along the ground. Next to Manheimr he saw a female senshi, a super by the look of her uniform or fuku or whatever they called it. Manheimr looked relaxed, but the senshi looked like she was ready to fight if need be. He didn't blame her -- for all she knew, this was a trap.

To reassure her, the tall lieutenant dismissed his afghan and held his hands out, open and empty. "I'm weaponless," he announced, then chuckled. "You saw what my so-called weapon was -- I'm weaponless even when I have it on me."

He lowered his hands. "I… spoke to this lady, Hvergl- Hver-something. Lady in white, she's a knight I think, like you, Manheimr, sits on a bench in the Theater district. The one with the tattoo seal that says she won't hurt people like me. She gave me a little more insight on things. And I've thought a lot about it." Chrysotile looked the female senshi in the eye. "I want to do this. For sure. No more doubt in my mind, no more fear. I'm willing to do what it takes to purifiy."

Relief tried to crash over the squire as Chyrsotile stepped out to greet them. Still, there were no other flares of auras and the man did his best to appease the suspicious nature Denebola could not help but show in the way she held herself.

Weakly the man offered a grin to the officer. "We won't hurt you." He spoke clearly and confidently, distinctly aware of Denebola's gaze upon him before she sidestepped around him and offered her hand to the lieutenant.

"My name is Denebola, my friend told me that you need help." Helping people is what she strove to do when she was able. Midgard knew not of the woman that Chrysotile spoke of, even if her description sounded like one he would know. When he looked at his senshi companion he could see that she didn't know the woman either.

Perhaps it was someone for them to seek out.

"If we have time, or if you remember after, perhaps you can introduce us." Denebola offered gently, her smile soft and genuine. "As long as you keep that conviction, then we'll get you the help you need. Are you ready now? I would have to reach out to find a royal or perhaps we could pray to Cosmos." She worried down on her bottom lip as she processed the options.

"But, if you're serious, know that you'll have a place to live and I'll work to get you a new identity and a job. I have connections." They didn't go as far as she would like but she was trying to build them further.

"And, like Manheimr my home will be open to you as long as you need it."

Chrysotile offered up a weary half-smile as Denebola spoke and slowly took her hand, giving it a small shake. He glanced over at Manheimr, who looked more relieved than anything -- as well he should, after all, he'd orchestrated this meeting cold, without knowing what was going to happen. But he'd lived up to his end of the deal, and that was frankly more than the Negaverse officer could have hoped for.

He'd have to make a note to remember Manheimr later. He'd have to make a lot of notes to himself, it seemed.

"I'm serious about purifying, but I'm-- I'm not ready yet." He released Denebola's hand. "I have a lot of loose ends to tie up. My family… I have to come up with a reasonable excuse for not being around any more. They'll be worried otherwise, and I don't want that. And I have to write down things to remember after I… after it's all over." He shook his head at her offer to contact a Royal or whoever Cosmos was. "No, Hver-whatever is going to make arrangements with Royal Knight Camelot to do it. I'm set in that department, it seems. It's just… I don't know what I'm going to forget, and I need to make sure I can remind myself of the important things."

Chrysotile listened to the super senshi's offer of a place to stay with some surprise. She was that willing to trust him, believe in him, that she'd offer up her home to a stranger whose memories were damaged by the process of purification? He also had no idea that she had done the same thing for Manheimr when he'd gone through it himself. "I… I don't know what to say. I really and truly appreciate that, Denebola. I have a feeling I'm gonna need all the help I can get."

He wondered if he had merely gotten lucky that his leap of faith had turned out well enough. Still, he wondered if was risky to have introduced the wonderful woman who'd taken him in when she had no reason to besides taking a leap of faith of her own when Chrysotile continue to speak.

He also wondered what it was like to have such a choice, to have the ability to prepare to leave and if that would have effected his decision to take Chronos's help and leave the darkness behind.

He would have wavered, surely, because there things he still wanted to cling to (the people he loved and wanted to save) but he wasn't meant to keep his feet wet in the inky, swirling pools of chaos.

Denebola, to her credit, never let her kind smile falter and she nodded with understanding as she listened to the man's concerns. "We can help, whatever you need." Providing a strong, unified front was important to the seasoned senshi. "If you need someone to hold your hand, or to hold onto the things you need, I can do that."

It wasn't her first rodeo after all.

"It's okay to need help, it's what a community is for, right?"

Community. Chrysotile had never felt a sense of community in the Negaverse; he had always felt like an outsider, like he wasn't welcome among the forces of Chaos. Hell, even his superior officer acted like he didn't want him around. He glanced over at Manheimr, who seemed lost in thought. Perhaps the squire was recalling his own purification, however much of it he could remember.

"Thank you," he smiled at the senshi. "I really mean that." It was difficult for him to admit that he needed help, even under these circumstances. And yet here Denebola was, offering him a place to stay along with that sense of community, of being on a team, that he had lacked as a Negaverse agent. "If I wrote down things to remember… y'know, once it's over, would you be willing to hold onto it for me? And of course I'd like for both you and Manheimr to be there."

Chrysotile thought about Hvergelmir; he'd like her there too, since she was setting up the whole thing with Camelot. He'd have to let her know once she made the arrangements. And he'd have to make the notes and things to hand off to Denebola, if she was willing. So much to do… But it would be worth it in the end.

"She means it, y'know," the squire pipped up, seeming to come out of his quiet reflection. "Not in the way the Negaverse propagandas it. Real community. You couldn't have a better person advocating for you."

He would never stop being grateful for the woman who'd taken him in without second thought or even really question. It was a debt he'd never stop repaying.

Denebola's cheeks flushed, but her smile never wavered. "Absolutely. We'll do whatever we can to make this as easy for you as possible." Chrysotile would have it a little easier, more of a sense of self than Midgard had, from this.

"You don't know what you'll remember and what you won't until after," Midgard spoke up, recalling how he remembered virtually nothing of his civilian life but everything of his powered. "So if it's important to you now, make sure to write it down."

"Don't worry, I plan on writing everything down," Chrysotile said to Manheimr with a grin. At the same time a small ache flared up in his soul. What if he forgot his family? He didn't give three shits if he forgot his life as a Negaverse agent. If he came out of the purification unable to recall his civilian life, he'd at least want to have notes about his mother and younger sister. He was doing this for them as much as for himself. Still, he should probably list a few important Negaverse things too, like information on his father General Ruizite, and probably Quartz and Schorl. The more information, the better to protect himself from the people who would become his enemies.

Turning to Denebola again, he nodded his head in gratitude. "I'll start on a notebook of things to remember when I get home. And thank you both for everything you're doing. I don't know how much danger it puts you in, but I really and truly appreciate it. I'll repay you somehow, I promise."

Speaking of danger.... Chrysotile glanced over his shoulder. What if he was being watched right now? He didn't want to leave the presence of the two who had offered to help him, but if he didn't at least try to get his quota in for the night there would be questions. "Look, I should get back to pretending to be a good Negaverse officer. I…" He looked between Denebola and Manheimr. "Thanks. Thank you so much."

Midgard offered a weaker smile compared to Denebola's brighter one. He was glad that Chrysotile would be more prepared than he was when it came to getting out, but it reminded him of how everything had snowballed for him.

The envy he felt was powerful but it was controllable.

Luckily, his companion was speaking and she helped soothe the fluttering of anxiousness that was building within him. "There's always a cost for the risks we have to take, but they're worth them." It wasn't the first time Denebola put herself in the path of danger for what she considered to be the greater good and she knew it wouldn't be the last.

"If you need me, call me and I'll come," she promised. "Or me," Midgard offered though he didn't sound as confident as the senshi.

"Please, be safe," she cautioned before she took her squire's hand and started to back away.

Not too long after they turned and the pair disappeared into the night.
