Puppetmaster: VampuricWerewolf Name: Kuro Katsui Hero Name: Nora (Stray) Power/How You Got It: Half Vampire, enhanced speed, strength, senses and healing. Ages very slowly. He can also generate long tendrils from the small of his back to fight and maneuver with while fighting. Needs blood to remain healthy, but as a half vampire he is able to go into the sun and eat human food to sustain him. Only needs blood once a week. He got powers from fiancé at his death. Moto: I will find you. I will end you. Age: 47, looks early 20’s Height: 5’ 8” Hair Color: Black normally, White when ‘shifted’ Eye Color: right eye brown, left eye red. During the day he wears an eye patch over his left eye. Bio: When Kuro was 19, he was living the perfect life. He had an amazing fiancé, he had just finished cooking school, and the happy couple had just been approved to adopt their first child. He couldn’t be happier, but like all good things, it all came crashing down one horrible night. He came home to the door bashed in and his fiancé fighting one of the most notorious villains in the country. His fiancé’s hair was white and his eyes shown red, Kuro recognized him to be the hero known as Whiplash. He cried out as his fiancé got knocked down and ran forward, but he was hit by the villain and sent back into the wall, losing consciousness. When he came to, the villain was gone and his fiancé lay dying in their living room. Kuro ran to him, but there was nothing he could do but hold him as he slowly faded to dust. All that was left was the blood coating Kuro and soaking into the wounds he’d gotten from being thrown. That night he shifted, gaining his fiancé’s powers but remaining half human. He moved, leaving the country and training himself to fight and control his powers. When he was ready, he returned for his revenge. The villain went underground after his fiancé’s death, many thought him dead, but Kuro knew better. When rumors of the villain’s return began to spread, Kuro was ready for him. He’d already established himself as one of the primary ‘heroes’ in the city, though he was often critiqued for his brutality when dealing with criminals. He hadn’t ever killed anyone, but it had been close. Especially when it came to abusive assholes. He didn’t treat men and women any different from each other. If you were a criminal, you were going down. Period. His day persona is the total opposite of Nora. Kuro opened a small café called The Book Club. IT was filled with comfortable seats and books and was his own little haven. He would tease his customers and smiled frequently. He was well liked and spent his days behind the counter making drinks and sweet treats, surrounded by books. Whenever anyone asked about his eyepatch he would sadly tell them he was in an accident that took his fiancé and his eye. “He took part of me with him,” he would say with a small laugh. Most people left it alone after that. No one would ever connect the dark haired, friendly café owner Kuro with the white haired vigilantly Nora. Appearance:

VampuricWerewolf hooray for images i can't shrink down because photobucket hates me Character Skeleton Puppetmaster: Your Missing Period Name: Finnian William Hero Name: 'That guy again' (it's on his hero form, that he made himself) Power/How You Got It: He died a while back as a familiar, but the person who cared for him found a way to revive him. Unfortunately, the spell didn't wear off when they died on accident. Turns out he can't die. Imagine that. Moto: 'Eh, I guess so.' Age: Probably 32 Height: 6'3" Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Blue Bio: Death is a fickle thing. When he died, it was due to incurable illness, and he'd been a cat. Apparently the magician, spellcaster, warlock, whatever you want to call it, and spent many years trying to bring back one simple familiar. By the time Will was brought back, his owner had long since grown white hairs, far too old to have a familiar that died far too young. Will continued to serve him, however, even as a human, but like all human-based beings, they expire far too quickly, and Will had only been serving him for a few years before he perished. His own realization at not-death came in the same accident as it had been before. Hit by a car, except when he came to, thirty feet away, all he did was sit up and pop a leg back into place. Turns out the result of the car was from a villain, and since he'd just sort of popped back to life, well, someone expected him to take care of it. He didn't really, some other white-haired hero taking care of it, but he decided to do the same thing, he just needed training, and a little bit of magic, to blend in. You'd be surprised how much magic goes into making yourself look not-dead. And cosmetics. Appearance:

( I'm clearly too lazy to make a layout and I probably will be for forever ) He should have learned more magic as a familiar, another spell appearing under his feet, causing him to jump a little too high to avoid the claws of this new lackey villain. "GET BACK HERE! STOP MOVING" It shouted, clawing again. And he jumped again, landing on its head, bending over to make eye contact. "So uh, why are you doing this again?" it screeched and jabbed its claws into its face, the hero flipping back, hearing the power surge as the beast practically electrocuted itself. The tingles of electricity made him feel warm again, like his nerves were active. It was nice. "Have you considered just, not being evil!" He shouted, quite sure that this villain had probably considered that. Instead it charged blindly, the green electricity crackling back around him and shooting out like vines. Finnian didn't dodge fast enough, stepping back only to lower on his second step. "My foot!" And it was still over there, where it didn't belong. He snapped to try and get his foot walking to him, and all it did was flop on its other side. The villain charge again, Finnian hobbling in a very awkward run.

Nora watched The Idiot, as he called him, struggle to fight against this new electric villain. He sighed as The Idiot lost his footing...literally. He stood up from where he'd been crouching on the roof and let himself drop. as he fell into the alleyway a tendril came out and smacked the foot back to The Idiot. "You really need to learn to keep it together." He called as he landed, a little smile hidden by his mask. The 'villain' turned towards him and Nora rolled his eyes, "is this where you start monologuing that the two of us are no match for you?" he asked, bored. He'd found a lead on the b*****d that had done this to him when he'd heard the commotion and stopped to check. He wasn't an animal, he'd help when he saw someone needed it, and The Idiot needed it...a lot. Nora cocked his head as the villain charged him, but he dodges to the left and smashed his fist into the villain's back. "I've come up with a name for you-" he said as he looked at the man facing off against them. "Green Streak." Nora jumped back from an attack, landing next to The Idiot, "You know? like the green streak left by sewage like you? it's fitting, isn't it, idiot?" his red eye narrowed as the man screamed in rage. he didn't bother listening to what he had to say, not worth the effort. He turned to The Idiot and laced his fingers together, turning his hands out as he stretched them out and cracking his knuckles, "need help with the Green Streak, Idiot?" he turned his head side to side, popping his neck, "I don't think i can even feed off it...it's to-green." he cocked his head to the side, widening his eye in such a way that he knew made his insanity show, "I wonder if he bleeds green. Should we find out?"

A foot bumped into his other one, the undead pausing to look down before looking at where it came from, the look of surprise falling dead. "It keeps together just fine." He called, shoving his leg onto his foot, the magic lighting up and reconnecting, and just in time, he backed up to avoid a another whip of lightning.
"Maybe not defeat you," the villain said with a grin. "But perhaps show you two the strength of my power, give yo both a taste!" and another shot was fired off before he charged, only for Nora to avoid.
"Don't give him a name!" the man called from the other side of the street. "Naming things gives them power!" a spell lit up and he jumped onto the canopy above him, another jump, and onto the roof. Ah, there went that crazy look in his eye again. How was this guy a hero?? he probably ate the guy who rejected his hero application.
"I'm pretty sure he bleeds red." he said weakly. Man, he always got the heebie-jeebies. "I'll get him for you if you want the credit!" and jumped down, running forward just as Green Streak prepared another attack.
Finnian grabbed him, the spell circle appearing, and jumped up, the wind whistling around them.
"Let me GO!" A fist pressed too hard into Finnian's gut, lightning bursting from the back, then over, and over, and over again.
"Alright, I'm letting you go." A jump sideways before he jumped down, using the spell behind his hands to thrust Green Streak downwards towards the creepy one, hearing his screams, watching electricity shock everywhere as though that would help soften the oncoming concrete.

Nora stood to the side and watched as the Idiot fought with Green Streak. he had to admit he'd smiled a little when he was told naming things gave them power. "Hear that, Green Streak? Even the Idiot only thinks of you as a thing." he rolled his eyes when Idiot offered him the credit, "as if i need it-" he muttered. He watched for a while, lifting an eyebrow at the amount of damage the Idiot was taking. He may lack finesse, but he was stubborn and could take a beating. If the Idiot would only use those attributes to his advantage rather than as a crutch, he might make a decent hero someday. Maybe...if the stars aligned, pigs flew, and all of that s**t. Idiot let the man go and Nora was done watching the show. He shot forward and wrapped the man in his tendrils, "You really should have stayed with him," he whispered as he opened the zipper across his mouth, revealing sharp fangs, "I'm not nearly as kind." He sank his fangs into the man's jugular and drank deeply. He ignored the screams and electricity. He only released the man when he stopped making noise, dropping the limp body to the ground. He spit the last of the blood onto the pale face to clear out his mouth, "Nasty. Why can't there ever be a villain that tastes somewhat decent?" He wiped the blood from his mouth and closed the zipper once more before glancing at Idiot. "don't give me that look, he's alive." he pulled out a vial from his pocket and crushed it underfoot, causing a blood red smoke to raise into the air. he then pulled out his phone and texted the head of police to look north east. the woman would know to look for the smoke. "Shall we? police will be here soon, unless you want to wait around for them." he lifted an eyebrow at Idiot and jumped to the roof. Maybe the trail he'd been following hadn't gotten cold yet.

The living zombie fell face first into the roof of a building, laying there as screaming and electricity filled the air.
"Ugh," He sat up, feeling a broken everything, but inspection just showed fractures, mostly, except his nose. That was definitely broken. Tongue wiggling his teeth, he climbed down the building, a dislocated shoulder failing him, causing him to fall once again onto the concrete. "Uuuuuugh." The screams had died down, and he looked over to see the teethy one spit blood out. How disgusting.
It must have shown on his face because he was scolded from it. "I can't think of anything more disgusting than vampire-ing the s**t out of someone." Getting up for the umpteenth time in the span of an hour, he dusted himself and limped over to the now smokey body, looking the nearly-dead man over before some magic had him landing back in the air, bouncing after Nora. "So what're you doing?? You interrupted my fight, so clearly you weren't there to help me."
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. He should magic a sound effect into these that would be hilarious. "What're we doin?"

Nora shrugged, "Can't help what I am anymore than you can, Idiot," though he had to admit, it stung. He didn't go 'vampire-ing' by choice. He hadn't always been like this, but things change and he had to make the best of the cards he was dealt. He was running along the roof, the Idiot following after in that bouncy magic way he had. "We?" well, he had sort of invited the man along. "We're hunting," he informed the Idiot. He stopped on top of a water tower, crouched down as he sniffed the air. He knew what Shame smelled like, the foul creature had been nearby recently. Nora wouldn't be surprised if he'd been the one who had given the Green Streak his powers. or at least unleashed it seeing as his scent had led Nora to the fight. "before you started to fight Green Streak, did you happen to see a man wearing a white coat and gas mask? he most likely was off to the side, watching from the roof or somewhere at a distance?" The b*****d liked to watch his creations, but avoided any conflict himself. Damned coward. "He's the one I'm hunting. Goes by Shade. I'm guessing even you've heard of him." he jumped down and continued to follow the faint traces left, but he knew that it was most likely futile. the man was able to make his scent disappear at will, this was most likely a red herring, but Nora had to try.

"I can totally help what I am" was the response. "I'm sure if I tried really hard I could probably turn myself into something else. Like a werewolf, or even human. That'd be cool." Another few more infinite bounces, making them nice and short like he was a stone being skipped across a pond. He landed beside Nora. "Hunting what?"
Shame? A white coat??? "No, I don't think I did. I got kinda distracted when the grocery store--AH! MY GROCERIES!" He stared in horror where the burnt out grocery store used to be, zapped to death by Green Streak's powers. "Tonight was pot roast night." A sad mewl let him, crouching down before climbing down behind Nora. "The closest store now is like a twenty minute drive! I don't even own a car!" Another pathetic mewl, laying on the ground. "Shame owes me groceriieess. Every time he's involved I lose something!" Nora was walking away, the cat getting up and following after him.
"Heeey. Do you have a car? The guy's not here do you think you can drive me to Safeway?"

Nora rolled his eyes at Idiot saying he could change who he was, "How about you change yourself into someone more useful?" He mostly ignored the man after he said he didn't see Shame. Damn. He kept following the scent for another couple of blocks before the trail ran cold. "Damn it!" he growled, punching the wall. It wasn't hard enough to do damage, but he felt a little better. "Yes, I have a car. No, i'm not driving your a** to Safeway. Take a damned cab." He released his tendrils and pushed off the ground with them, throwing himself into the air and landing on the building's roof. He took a few steps away before Kuro made him stop. Most of the time they were one and the same, but once in a while the two of them disagreed and separated. Why can't we give him a ride? Because he's f*cking annoying. And so you are going to abandon him? Chances are the cab driver will try to kill him on the way there. Serves him right Nora-give him a ride. The safeway is on our way home anyways. FINE. But if he thinks he's our friend, or we get seen, it's your fault."Car's this way, Idiot," he growled, his fists tight as he waited for the cat like zombie to catch up. "You're lucky he's got a soft spot for pathetic idiots," he added as he lead the way to his car. It was parked several blocks away, hidden in an alley. It was matte black, of course, even the rims black. The windows were tinted dark enough you couldn't see inside and it the car was sturdy enough he could punch it full force and only leave a small dent. He unlocked it with a press of the keys and got in. "You stink up my car, I'll dismember you and spread your parts all over the damned city, got it?" He waited for Idiot to get in before driving off. One would expect him to speed, the engine purring as they drove, but he followed the rules of the road, driving careful as they head to the safeway. "Let me guess, you need a ride home, too?" Which is fine."Whatever. just remember if i drive you home, i will know where you live." they hit a red light and he stopped with a sigh. "Pot roast, huh? isn't it a little late to be starting a roast?" the light turned and he kept driving.

The man meowed pathetically from his spot, Nora ditching him, leaving him alone. Ah well. Maybe he wouldn't cook tonight. Kicking the ground he turned and decided to walk home.
Then Nora spokke, the zombie looking back with a smile. "Thank you!" And followed eagerly to the car. "Most people do. It's just pot roast. It'll be in and out." The walk was silent, and when the car was found, it was-- "Super cool! How do you own this? Are you rich?" he gently touched the car. "isn't a car this dark illegal? Are you Batman?" But eagerly got in, feeling the leather underneath his butt. This was so luxurious.
"If I stink, it's my natural musk." And grinned, buckling in and relaxing as they drove. The leather smelled nice. He just cleaned the interior recently, it was dust free. He fiddled with the window button for a minute, watching how fast it rolled up and down before changing the radio station, and the air condition, he shifted the vents to face him, practically everything before Nora asked him another question.
"Home would be nice. You don't have to. You'll discover my secret identity." and gave a curious grin, wondering if Nora would even do such a thing. "Yea, it's late now, but it wasn't earlier. I'll probably have sandwiches for dinner and for lunch tomorrow."

Nora was fighting the urge to strangle the little s**t...completely disregarding the face that the Idiot was bigger than him. "Not many cops are too willing to pull me over. So long as i follow the laws, they don't car what I'm driving." as for the rich question, he didn't car about money. He made some with his cafe, and more with his 'hero' work, but leaving the country with his money in the bank meant it accrued a lot of interest. He didn't have to worry about money. "I could care less about your secret identity. if i found that out i have a feeling you would never leave me alone." he pulled into a spot in front of the Safeway and parked, "if you don't live near here i'll drop you off within three blocks of your place. then you can go home and i won't see where you go. but if you're place is close, i'm out of here. i've done enough good deeds tonight."

"Really?? Are you sure?? Man this is such a fancy car I'd pull it over just to see who drove it!!" He bounced excitedly as the Safeway came into view. "I live nearby! So I'll be seeing you whenever again!! There's always something bad happening, and us heroes need to stick together!" he gave a thumbs up before watching it fall off. "Ah, I guess my magic is running low. Welp. better get to shopping before I fall apart. See you around Toothless!" Getting out, the man stretched and quickly walked into the safeway, a few people leaving giving him stares and hurriedly walking away.
Tomorrow would be a new day indeed! Now stew materials. Stew. Stew. Aw man his phone must've exploded with that last store!!!

Nora just rolled his eyes as the Idiot got out of his car, snapping his teeth at the man with the nickname he'd given him. "I'd rather not have to save your a** again." He still staid to make sure the idiot got into the store safe before driving off. He parked in the garage he rented space from and made sure there was no one around before he jumped from the top floor and used his tendrils to move across the roof tops. He searched for any kind of hint to the b*****d that did this to him, but the trail had gone completely cold and he knew it would be a while before he was able to pick it up again. Around three in the morning he gave up and found returned to the place where he could hide and shift back to Kuro. His hair darkened and he took off his mask, hiding it in a backpack he'd hidden it earlier. He changed into normal street clothing and placed a while eye patch over his one red eye, his brown one blinking a few times as it got used to seeing again. Kuro popped his neck and head out, the backpack slung over one shoulder. He got on the bus and rode it to two stops away from his cafe. From there he made him way to the shop, taking an indirect and confusing route to make sure he wasn't followed. You could call it paranoia, but not being cautious is what got him in this mess. He got to the back door and let himself in. He finally sighed in relief once the door was firmly shut and locked behind him. He'd paid for a mage to place subtle but powerful wards on the cafe. No one would be able to attack him here, it was the only place he felt safe. He checked to make sure everything was ready for the next day and went upstairs to his small apartment. He put away his backpack in a hidden safe and went to bed. His cafe opened at 7:30 am. He slept for a few hours and got himself ready for the day. He probably should sleep more, but if he did it was just riddles with nightmares. He checked his phone as he got ready and saw a message from his current lover. "Tonight?"Kuro thought for a moment before sending a reply. "10?" He got an affirmative and smile a little, he needed it. To let go and let someone else be in control...Someone not Nora. He shivered a little thinking of what was going to happen that night. He wondered if he'd be made to beg...Kuro shook his head, he'd not be able to make it through the day if he kept up that train of thought. He head downstairs and got the cafe ready to open. He had the usual morning traffic, people stopping in for coffee on their way to work. Students studying as they sipped away. Nothing too interesting. He cleaned the few dishes he had and then went to putting together a few desserts and treats he had for sale. He didn't do any food food, but he liked to bake and had several baked good out for sale. All in all it looked like it was going to be a quiet day. Perfect for him to mentally get ready for tonight.
