Sid lay sprawled out on the grass of the Academy's courtyard. He'd just finished a boring class and now he just wanted to soak up the sunshine. He thought he'd picked an out of the way spot to relax, but he didn't mind moving his paws if someone needed to get past.
He really was not having a great day. He'd failed a pop quiz in History and had another test coming up in his other terrible subject: Language Arts. Ugh. He was going to be a doctor so why couldn't he just pile on the science and math classes and be done with it?

Seray Hurried his way through the court yard, he was busy today he had a full class load and no time to doddle. He had a few books in his hands he had just rented from the library and hadn't had time to put in his bag. He really didn't want to be late. Not that he was really in a hurry since his next class wasn't for nearly an hour however the Litch was rushing himself to get to class so he could get some observations in about his fellow classmates. Perhaps he was in too much of a hurry as he made his way across the court yard. Not looking down was his big mistake as he walked right over a hybrid sitting in the grass. His foot caught underneath him and his books went flying a few feet away. "Oh great. Those better not have mud on them." He reared and although it was his fault he turned on the one he had just tripped on giving a mean glare.

The sun was nice and warm, so Sid began to doze off. Well. At least until someone's foot connected with his body. "Ow!" he yelped in pain and sat up, rubbing the affected area. He opened his mouth to apologize, even though it wasn't really his fault, when he noticed the glare on the other kid's face and heard the words practically spat him. "Well, maybe if you watched where you were going, you wouldn't kick someone trying to relax," he snapped. He was sorry the guy tripped, but not sorry enough to apologize when blame was already being thrown in his face.

Seray narrowed his eyes. "Well maybe if you weren't laying in the middle of the courtyard. My arms were full and i wasn't staring at my feet. I just assumed no one would be dumb enough to be laying in the middle of the grass. Don't you have a bed? Or you could sit on one of the MANY benches that campus provides!" she shook his head disapprovingly at the hybrid. Some mares had no common sense.

Sid rolled his eyes. "First off, I am not in the middle of the courtyard. I picked this place specifically because it was mostly out of the way," he grumbled. "Nobody said you had to stare at your feet, dude. Just be aware of your surrounds, jeez." This guy was really ticking him off. "Why do you feel like you gotta be such a jerk?" he growled. He just didn't understand it. The day was beautiful! How could anyone be in such a terrible mood on such a great day. Unless they were just like that every day. Ew. Who would wanna live that way?

Seray snorted "Obviously it wasn't far enough out of the way now was it?" He wrinkled his nose not wanting to admit any fault in the situation. He took a couple steps and began to pick up the books he dropped. "I am simply stating facts, you were in my way. You seem to have a lower mental capacity, than most when it comes to where to go and where not to lay." He took a few more steps toward the next book on the ground. "When the world rids itself of simply minded mares I will seem a lot friendlier."

Sid bared his teeth at the guy. He didn't like to do that, since his sharp canines usually scared off little kids and he thought it was kinda rude in general. But this guy deserved it. Seriously why did he have to be so mean? And now he was calling Sid stupid. He snorted at the last comment made, then smirked. He wasn't usually a jerk but... "I guess the world will be a better place since you won't be here. Can't even keep track of your own surroundings? Wow. And you call me dumb," he said and laughed derisively.

Seray reached for a book an paused mid reach. "I hadn't thought of that before, perhaps I was so wrong thinking the fault was always in others. Perhaps it is myself that I should remove from the world." He didn't mean this in a suicidal way which he supposed was clear by the tone of his voice. He meant it more in a detach himself from the world and become a hermit. "After all, not finding a single soul in all this time whose existence doesn't bother me to my core must mean that I have an incompatible one... thank you." He nodded and finished picking up the book he had stopped himself from picking up to ponder.

For a second, he thought the other kid was thinking about doing something drastic, but his tone made it seem like he meant something else. "Yeah, well. Maybe other Nightmares wouldn't piss you off so much if you didn't interact with them much," he said and mumbled something that sounded like "and vice-versa."
It seemed like it could be a lonely existence like that but maybe this guy would prefer life as a hermit. Sid knew he was way too social for that. Months spent alone? He would go crazy. Not to mention he'd miss his girlfriend too much. And Corasett would probably find him and skin him if he left.

Seray nodded,"I agree, that's perhaps what I needed all along. Well, I think you have delayed me long enough I will be going now." He picked up his remaining dropped books finished brushing himself off and hurried off in the direction he was going before. Strawberri Stardust If you want to fin I think this is good.
