Archimedes was ready, he hadn't felt ready before he had a lot of growing to do, everything that had happened since Arch was a freshling shaped who he was. He was still growing but now he felt like he could pick up the pieces of his life and move on to something bigger and better. Avalon had done so much to help heal Arch's heart the scars were still there as Archimedes dealt with his parent's betrayal. That didn't need to keep hurting him though maybe Avalon was right and they just couldn't take care of three kids, still it hurt that he wasn't the one they chose to keep. Then again Archimedes would never want to leave Calie behind even though he didn't always understand her he wouldn't give her up for anything in the world. He also wouldn't trade that life for meeting Avalon and getting to feel the love and comfort that Avalon gave Arch. Perhaps it wasn't perfect but this life was Archimedes and he was ready to move on to the next carving of his life. He sketched out some of the details of what he planned to carve out for his life. He wanted to go to Grendel when he graduated the academy so he could learn more about art and drawing. Or perhaps learn to make furniture by hand. Archimedes wanted to move out of the city when he grew up, perhaps even once he became a senior. Archimedes was lucky in a way he had been adopted by a family that had money when his parents left him and his sibling so he wouldn't have trouble getting the cabin in the woods he dreamed of. Set up a work shop there and continue on with the things Archimedes planned to do. Perhaps he would even heal enough to let someone else into his life that wasn't Avalon.
