Mist Hunter The Miss Taken Tower General Information As the general, jack-of-all trades division, the Mist Hunter training course is a combination of the other divisions' training challenges and also one of the more complicated. The goal of this course is to rescue the princess in the tower. Below her, you'll find yourself confronted with a number of shadowling attackers, and beyond them, a room of only slightly deadly traps. But even should you reach her location, you still need to pick the lock on the manacles holding her in place. Unskilled fiddling with the locks will prove unhealthy for both the princess and yourself. And once that's done, you need to make your way back down through the traps and shadowlings, defending the princess the whole way.
The Miss Taken Tower is one of the most challenging and frustrating courses available.
If you fail: your princess dies, and you are quite possibly KO'd. Senior hunters are observing and will make with a timely rescue as needed.
If you win: the princess will adore you for the rest of her exceedingly brief existence. Peen points for 100% health for you and the Princess, shadowlings fought, going for consecutive rescues.
Part 1 Mechanics - roll your regular attack - roll your regular attack again - if you miss an attack, you lose 50% of your full HP - if you have an available recovery bonus, you may try to use that to avoid HP loss
Bonus Mechanics - This bonus is consumable. - for the Mist Course, it is recommended you review the mechanics of the other division courses, as the division bonuses carry over.
- Trainees: 0 recoveries - Mist/Sun Trainees: 1 recovery - Hunters: 1 recovery - Mist/Sun Hunters: 2 recoveries
Part 2 Mechanics - there are two steps worth of traps in this room, so you'll be rolling twice
- roll 1 d10 to determine what your character is about to step into - use your bonus mechanic to adjust as you can - adjust your HP and bonus count accordingly - roll 1 d10 to determine what your character is about to step into - use your bonus mechanic to adjust as you can - adjust your HP and bonus count accordingly - roll list: (feel free to get creative about what the traps actually were) (-50% HP is off your full HP, so if you hit -50% twice, then you are 100% KO'd)

Bonus Mechanics - This bonus is consumable.

Part 3 Mechanics - use the given roll for your hunter to try and open the lock on her right manacle. Rolling a 1 means you fumbled, and the cuff exploded causing both you and the princess to lose 50% of your full HP. - roll to repeat the process on the left manacle.
Bonus Mechanics
- Trainees: roll 1d4 - Mist/Life Trainees: roll 1d6 - Hunters: roll 1d6 - Mist/Life Hunters: roll 1d8
Part 4 Mechanics - roll 2 d8 to determine your defense against the trap area. - roll 2 d8 to determine how much trap damage targets the princess. - adjust her HP accordingly - roll 2 d8 to determine your defense against the shadowling area. - roll 2 d8 to determine how much shadow damage targets the princess. - adjust her HP accordingly - leftover defense does not stack

_ p a o cx Feel free to pick who the princess golem is as Shay doesn't know anyone. The blonde stared up at the small buulding attached to a tall, castle tower with her head back and mouth open. Half-open eyes blinked slowly before she looked at the address on her hand and walked into the building.
Her directions as a Sun were simple. Complete the training courses.

He'd been sitting and staring up at the daunting shape of the tower for the better part of an hour now, contemplating whether or not he'd try a solo run on his first day back. Rhys had only done the run once before being sent off to the outpost he was at for well over a year and it hadn't gone well so he was a little on the fence about trying it solo. He had no idea what happened after the first round, so.
It was probably some level of good luck that someone came just as he stood to leave, so he nixed that planned and followed after them.
"Yo." Generic greeting, and one that got a sigh out of Zephira. "You gonna try this thing solo?"MoonKitsune Uh...Rep? He was the first one that came to mind. lol

She slowly looked over him and gave him a dreamy smile.
"Nah. Like, we're never alone. We're all in the universe togerher. Oh, amd Dai is with me too." She moved her hair to show a bull brooch on her headband.
"Gonna just go. You wanna come along?"

The smile was a little weird, and her answer a little more so, but whatever. So long as she did decently on the course not a whole lot else mattered at that point.
"True. I've got Zeph grumblin' at me half a the time, too, so I know what you mean. Anyway, yeah. I'll tag along." He gestured for her to go ahead.
"After you."

"Righteous." She said and gave a thumbs up before holding her hands out with her palms up.
"Dai, may I ask for your help. If not that's cool. You do you."
A large hammer formed in her hand and she slouched as the weight tipped to one side.
"Major thanks."
Walking into the tower, the place was packed woth shadowlings that started to swarm at her.
"What a inbalance." She tipped the hammer down and swung it into a spin as she walked to the steps.

"Wait," he started after summoning Zephira, who was surprisingly chipper about being out for once. "Would you really have done this course if your weapon refused to come out?" He'd never actually asked is Zeph was ever in the mood to train or whatever, nor did he ever think that he had to. Could they even say "no" if they didn't feel like it?
Once inside the tower he quickly assessed the situation. There were about as many shadowlings he remembered from last time. He didn't even really need to aim. "Negatives." She said to the shadowlings. "This island really needs to chill out."

Rhys slashed at a small gob of shadowlings to his left but wound up missing, much to his chagrin. While Zephira was busy screeching at him, he felt them surround, creep up on, and actually start to overtake him. He pointed his sword at the stairs that headed up to the next level, chest mildly heaving from the extra effort.
