 Wren wasn't sure what he wanted to do today so he left his dorm room and head outside and towards the park and the trees near the school. He remembered the camping trip he had taken when he was a freshling and Wren wondered how the neko he had met then was doing. He hoped they were well. Wren looked out into the trees and heard the birds in the trees the sound was comforting. Wren wasn't sure if his relationship with Cybelle would stand up to senior year and he was worried what if Cybelle found someone else and dumped him??

Lynx was in the wooded area of the park, that was honestly where he could be found most days. He even slept outside sometimes. Right now he held a book in one hand and was bent over closely examining the leaves of a plant. He was attempting to learn what plants were edible and what were not. He knew that once he mastered this he would be able to be outside a lot longer than normal. Since he normally needed to go inside when his stomach started to grumble; cutting whatever adventure he had planned for the day short.

Wren saw a neko looking at a plant, he stood near by waiting for the neko to notice him since he didn't want to frighten them. Wren found it a little bit funny he had been thinking about the neko he had met when he was a freshling and happened upon a neko walking in the woods. Wren shuffled his hooves in the soil in a nervous gesture, he wanted to say hi to the neko but he didn't want to be rude either. So he was just kinda standing at an awkward line waiting yet wanting to say something. Especially since the nekos coat pattern reminded him of Lynx.

Lynx noticed the other approach but for a moment continued studying the plant in front of him. Then saying without looking up. "Would you say this looks like a Taro leaf to you? They are supposedly edible, but poison oak seems to look a lot similar to me. That's sure one mistake I wouldn't want to make again." He held the book out with one hand still crouched down looking at the plant. On the page that was opened was an image of a Taro leaf. Which did admittedly look similar to the leaf in front of him.

Wren frowned and then looked more closely. "Humm." Wren said softly looking at the leaves counting them and counting the ones in the book. The leaf looked just as rounded as the poison oak leaf that only left the number of leaves. "Poison oak leaves come in threes," Wren said softly and then he leaned back on his hooves and asked softly. "Have we met before?" The neko examining the leaf looked a lot like a neko Wren had met another time. In the forest, it seemed to speak to him, "Didn't we go on a school camping trip together?"

Lynx nodded "I think you're right these should be safe to eat" he pulled a couple leaves off the branch and put them in his pack. He then looked at Wren and got wide eyed for a second. He was quite hurt by the fact the other didn't recognize him. He looked down at himself he hadn't changed that much had he? Lynx hadn't made many friends as a feshling he had often thought of Wren as one. They had spent a whole weekend camping buddies. Rather than hint to how hurt he was, he let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, Wren right? I'm Lynx. I think I kind of remember something like that. Funny to see you out here." He put one hand behind his head and smiled.

Wren smiled he was happy that they had figured out the leaf thing it was a small thing but it made Wren happy none the less. Wren blushed when Lynx remembered his name when Wren hadn't been sure Lynx was Lynx. "I remember the neko I camped with, I'm sorry I did forget your name I'm not very good at remembering names." Wren blushed again feeling rather foolish. Wren sighed, where as Wren remembered their time together it seemed that Lynx didn't remember the fun they had. After all the time they shared was more important than a name right? Nervous Wren stood and shuffled his hooves.

Lynx shrugged "That's okay, it's not like we saw each other all the time. Just that one camping trip." So what brings you out here on such a wonderful day? He motioned to all around them, half spinning in a circle. He loves nature being outside was one of the best joys in life.

Wren sighed and said "Well it was nice seeing you again." He perked up when Lynx asked him what he was doing out in the woods on this lovely. "I just had a lot of my mind and ended up here in the forest, it's a nice place to be, don't you think??" Wren asked in a soft tone he looked around at the trees and the leaves that Lynx had gathered up. He hoped that he was right that they weren't the wrong leaves that would make Lynx sick. Wren would never forgive himself if that were the case. As the memories of their time together came back to Wren he grew more, fond of Lynx as they spoke that day.

Lynx smiled, "The woods are the only place I ever really feel myself. I'm going to live out here one day. One with nature and all that." He flipped the page and looked at his book pointing to the yellow flowers depicted there. "these are dandelions? I'm sure you know what those are. Can you help me find some? I'm going to make a dandelion stew later I hear it's to rave about." He nodded holding the book out to him.
