Liath sulked into the common room. It had been yet another meaningless day here at the Academy. His classes held little excitement for him. He was ready to be a senior. Everyone told him he was too immature, hadn't done enough growing but he felt he had been through a lot. He watched the girl of his dreams fall in love with someone else and graduate after all. He needed something to distract him. He looked around the common room and didn't see any faces he recognized. He was probably going to go cook something it was what he did when he was stressed, but cooking was no fun when you had no one to eat the food you were making. He looked over at a junior sprawled out on the couch approaching them he let out a hesitant. "Hello." Then he began to panic how did you bring up to someone you had no friends and needed them to be your culinary guniea pig?

Liath looked down nervously "Well actually I was going to try out a few new recipes in the school's kitchen. I was uh... wondering if I could get someone to try the food and tell me what they thought, but um if you want to play cards first I'd be willing to do that. So you know I'm not some weirdo." He shrugged still looking at the floor. He wasn't very good at making friends as he was generally a Debbie downer. Cooking was the only thing in his life he really cared about anymore. He looked at the other he hoped that they would like food.

Liath nodded and motioned for the other to follow him down the hall toward the classrooms. There was a kitchen that he had taken the time to reserve for the hour. Liath shrugged "I suppose I don't really care. I'm not direct because most of the time I prefer to be left alone. However my food is meant to be shared and since my only friends have gone on to graduate, I have to try to drum up some new interest." He opened the door to the kitchen where the wonderful smell of shepherd pie wafted from the oven. "it's almost done now."

Liath nodded at the others comment. "I would have guessed from your appearance that you would have enjoyed some water past time. Well, it's a good thing you weren't in your room this time." He slipped oven hits on his hands and gingerly opened the oven. He pulled out the casserole dish and set a little timer for it to cool down. He had to admit it did look pretty good he might have just gotten it perfect this time. "I pretty much do this, cooking is all I really like in this blasted school." He began to pull out a few small plates and forks. He got ap ie serving tool and cut open two small slices of the pie "If you like it you can get more." he then waited for the timer to beep before handing the plate to the other. "okay tell me what you think."

Liath watched the other eat his food nodding about the comment about the taste. "As I suspected it would be, another perfect recipe." At the question, he paused a second and sighed. "My name is Liath, I have always been a grumpy sort." He shrugged. "Perhaps due to my monochromacy, or perhaps due to losing everyone I've ever cared for. Your pick." His voice stayed very monotone and while he was incredibly sad over the recent events with his childhood sweetheart; he felt he had said them so many times he was detached. "Thank you for your input I will be putting my recipe in the book."
