User Image Andrew was meeting Keres in the park finally so he could hear Keres play their violin, Andrew had been looking forward to it for a while. Andrew was also he was curious about the weird feeling he had gotten while hanging out with Keres. Andrew could see and hear spirits and Keres seemed to have been hinting they were cursed or haunted but Andrew hadn't spotted anything last time they had met. Andrew liked Keres they noticed stuff like being sleepy or hungry, and Andrew sometimes forgot about that stuff when he was busy doing a chalk drawing. He was down on the ground again with chalk on his face drawing a picture of waves and music notes as a friend present to Keres for them to see when they arrived. Andrew hoped they liked the picture it was more simple than he normally did but he didn't want to those track of too much time.

Keres wasn't sure what had possessed them to agree to this. They never played in front of other people. It was somthething well learned in the orphanage that no matter what Keres did, no matter how much they loved music, bad things happened and Keres would get blamed.
However then Oran and Oberon happened and he started being able to play the violin in front of people again. They supposed they wanted to show that what ever was haunting them, wasn't going to dictate the young litch's life. They were going to show the ghosts or whys ever it was that they weren't afraid of him.
So here they were a couple months later with a fixed e string. Oran had even given up her day to take them, and would be nearby to drive what ever it was off if things went down hill. They could do this. They could.
"Hello Andrew. Your chalk drawings are lovely as always" Keres said in a soft voice. Never mind that it was their normal tone of voice.

User Image Andrew looked up at Keres and gestured to the picture with the music notes and waves "It's my gift to you, I'm glad you like it." Andrew went and sat down on the bench they had sat on the last time where Keres and Andrew had shared snacks. He was fond of that memory, it wasn't often that someone else took the time to remind him that food was important and Keres had that day. He waited quietly for a moment and then said. "Thanks for agreeing to come and play your violin for me." He said in a kind tone, he got the impression that Keres was nervous but he still didn't know why. Though he still got an odd feeling he just couldn't pin point it yet. Andrew wasn't afraid though he smiled a little and waited for Keres to get ready to play.

"Thank you. It's nice" Keres replied leaning closer to see it better. They had their glasses on today so the world was a bit sharper and Keres didn't have to get right up to see things. " it's no problem. I do like playing the violin and it's nice to... to play with friends".

The big question now was what song to play. Devil's trill was just asking for bad things to happen, and Keres knew that they wanted to play a complicated piece. Their other go to unfortunately needed a piano along with it during the trill parts. Well there was the revised version, and even though it sounded better with more than one it was doable with one.

Raising the violin up to the juncture between their shoulder and neck, they tested their e string before taking a deep breath. " okay. I think I know what one I want to do now," and with that Keres struck the first note.

feel free to have the little bad luck things happen whenever you want. Also the second song Keres talks about is Danse macabre. They are doing This version of it

User Image Andrew smiled at Keres, glad they liked his art work. He saw they were wearing glasses that day, he hadn't noticed before that they had trouble seeing. Andrew nodded and said softly. "You're my first friend, I don't think Rose really counts since she's my sister and kinda has to put up with me." Andrew listened to the notes coming from Kerea violin.

At first, nothing bad happened he sat quietly listening to the thrilling music. Then all the sudden a near by tree limb snapped Andrew jumped and looked over at the tree. He thought for a moment maybe it had just been the wind, then he sensed something not nice he narrowed his eyes in its direction. He couldn't see a ghost, so he was kinda confused not really knowing much about spirits, other than the ones he could see or hear. There were invisible one?

How rude though to interrupt someone else's performance. Andrew decided to say something "Stop it you're being mean." he said in a grumpy tone then something pushed him off the bench. Knocking him onto his chalk drawing, Andrew looked up to see if Keres was still playing, he hoped they didn't give up they shouldn't give into bullies even if you couldn't see said bully.

" well there is a difference between putting up with someone because you are related and being friends with your family. However I have been told that family doesn't count so maybe that is a moot point." Keres mused. Still they didn't think they had ever been someone's friend before. Yeah they had bonded with Oberon at the orphanage but it was more a familial bond then friendship. Even if they were friends too.

Playing classical music took a bit of concentration, it always felt like you needed to loose your self in it and feel when you played it. Coupled with the skill you needed to make the violin sing instead of shriek like a hurt cat, well there wasn't much concentration you could give the outside world. Still all of Keres's attention not playing the piece was on the surrounding area so they had heard the tree branch snap. A cold feeling settled in their stomach. However they had just had a storm recently. One of those strong summer ones, so the tree could have just been weak.

When Andrew was pushed off the bench, Keres almost missed the note but professionalism had them recovering instantly. They were tempted to stop. To run over to their friend. However tnere was something in Andrew's eyes that said Keres should finish. So Keres would. The litch made a note that they would have to go and find Oran before their specters snapped keres's e string again.

User Image Andrew listened and he nodded supposing that Keres was right and there was a difference. He liked Keres they weren't too much or too little and Andrew wouldn't abandon Keres just because they were being bullied by spirits that would make him a poor friend indeed. Andrew did his best to ignore the spirit that was making him mess up his chalk drawing more pushing him here and there. He didn't bother getting up since he was pretty sure if he did the spirits would just push him off again.

Andrew at this point was covered in poor chalk dust than he normally was, but he was determined to listen to Keres play and clap at the end. Even if he got a hurt knee from being pushed around. Andrew pretended he didn't sense or feel the spirit annoying him. Trying to deny the being the power of being believed in though that was kinda tricky.

Keres grew increasingly worried, especially when there started loud banging noises and more branches freaked ominously. The haunting things normally left by now. Then again most other people had left them by now. Keres knew that would likely happen. They should have warned Andrew better or something. They should have never agreed to play.

Right as they were about to end prematurely something happened. The noises just suddenly stopped and the only thing he could hear was keres's violin notes. Looking over from where Andrew was, Keres spotted two blobby people on the edge of the park. Well okay they weren't blobby, they just looked that way to keres, which meant some time during the performance their glasses must have broke. Considering the lack of things going on, Keres knew who they were.
Knowing now it was safe to finish, the hallowed litch conscentrated on the last few notes. Finishing they lowered the violin and walked over to their friend.
"Are... are you okay?"
They should have ran over to check on Andrew, but Andrew had struggled to listen the whole way. Keres felt like the other hybrid would want them to at least finish.

User Image Andrew refused to run away, just because the mean spirits were determined to ruin Keres performance didn't mean Andrew had to let them. Andrew was Keres only audience member and he was going to stick it out. Though he did cover his head just in case a branch hit him. Andrew blinked in shock did ignoring them the work? Everything was so silent besides the notes of Keres violin that it sounded like a gun shot to Andrews' ears.

Andrew looked at the people at the edge of the park Andrew wasn't sure who they were, but they didn't look like they were ghosts, but maybe they had chased the ghosts away somehow. Andrew looked up at Keres when they came over to see if he was ok. Andrew frowned at Keres glasses that had been knocked off and broken by one of the tree branches. "I'm alright." He picked up Keres broken glasses "But your glasses seem to have no faired so well, but your music was beautiful, I think you need an anti spirit charm for next time though," Andrew said softly. "Umm umm." Andrew said unsure how to explain that he could sense ghosts, he really wanted Keres to like him.

" I'm sorry I should have warned you. I was hoping that nothing would happen. Some times nothing happens. It's just something I have lived with every since the fire...I do have a couple of anti spirit charms but they don't always work and since not everyone is convinced ghosts exist Anti spirit charms can be pricey. Most of the time my dad seemingly wards off spirits. I should have asked him to come with us." Keres replied. They shouldn't have waited for Oran to call them. It had been a selfish desire.

They did take the glasses though. Glasses never sat well on their face. They where awkward and uncomfortable so most of the time Keres didn't bother with them. Still the glasses looked to be unfixable. Luckily he had a few glasses as a back up. "Normally they target my violin strings. I am just happy it was my glasses.

" the spirits shouldn't be a problem for a while. My aunt seemed to have gotten my father. As an apology, maybe we can try lunch?" Keres asked softly. They wanted to fiddle with their hands but the violin was still being held in one hand,
