Hyperborea was walking around the park on patrol her staff tapping the ground as she walked. She sensed two new auras nearby both order, one belonged to a base level senshi and the other to a Saturn knight. She didn't recognize either of them with her crown of stars. So she decided to go meet them, it was always good to meet new powered people, see if they needed any help.
So she made her way towards the pair she was rather surprised when she saw the familiar blond man, however he had traded in his dark blue for vibrant purples. "Sanidine right? You purified? Congratulation, I happy for you." She said with a friendly smile. Though then a thought crossed her mind.
"But where's Evan, is he ok?" She wasn't sure what happened to youma once their officer purified. She glanced at the senshi in the stained glass patterned outfit unsure of who he was.

Michel went rigid when he heard his old name; he had yet to encounter anyone who recognized him and had been quite confident that this new form had left him completely concealed. And yet, here was Hyperborea, speaking that name, in front of Evan. His eyes flashed fiercely and he said sharply, “Don’t call me that, and don’t talk about that, ever in front of anyone.” His voice was a low hiss and he glanced over his shoulder as the Senshi fumled with his phone, headphones still plugged in.
Michel breathed a sigh of relief and, while his companion was temporarily distracted, hissed to Hyperborea, “We’re not talking about the Negaverse in front of him, okay? If anyone asks, I’m Michel, and that’s the only name you’ve ever known me by, got it? So far as anyone’s concerned, I’ve never heard the name Sanidine. And you’d be better off if you forgot it, too. I’ll deny any ties to him. But raincheck on that conversation.”
Michel was insistent, determined. This was a secret he clearly intended to keep.
He realized he had been a bit gruff and, as if he intended to soften the blow, he attempted to answer, “Evan’s—”
His gestures gave it away even before his words did; instinctively, he turned to look at the Senshi next to him, who still seemed like he hadn’t noticed the Cosmos Knight at all. It wasn’t until he seemed to feel eyes on him that he looked up front the screen of his phone. His eyes flashed quickly and he looked a mixture of surprised and afraid. Quickly, Malus pulled his headphones out of his ear. “Sorry,” he apologized, glancing between the Knight in front of him and the Knight next to him.
“Malus,” Michel said, clapping the smaller man on the shoulder. “This is Hyperborea.”
“Oh. Okay,” the Senshi said cautiously. “Hi.”
His lips pursed though, and he watched the girl somewhat curiously; she looked familiar, and in the back of his mind there was some nagging voice. Images flashed quickly but he couldn’t source them.
Things were just like that, now; memories he’d tucked away seemed to come and go and he had to fight with the walls of his mind to let him access half of them. Sometimes, it made him wonder if it was even worth it to try.
Now, he was just trying to play catch up on whatever he missed.
He stood close to Michel but was still a good foot and a half extra away from Hyperborea.

Hyperborea looked at him dubiously, while she did of course always support people purifying she also thought no good would come from hiding your past. You should own up to mistakes and just move on from them. Still she would respect his wishes.
"Ok, Michel. But I want to talk to you later." She agreed.
Hyperborea's eyes fell on the senshi boy beside the purified knight. A spark of recognition lite in her eyes as she was able to see the similarity between Malus and Evan.
She had to stop herself from rushing forward and hugging the life out of the older boy. "Evan...er Malus I can't believe its you! You look great." She beamed so happy to see the meek man she had known not only de-youmaified but also now a senshi.
Then a realization donned on her. "Um do you still remember me?" She knew that purification and corrupt could damage memories so she wasn't sure Malus would even know who she was.

Michel shrugged; he’d agree to a conversation but he didn’t have to be excited about it. He was more concerned with ensuring that Malus was comfortably in the dark and didn’t have the extra burden to concern himself with.
Malus glanced between the two of them, brows knit and with obvious confusion. “I remember,” he said, but it wasn’t with enough confidence to imply he was speaking the truth. Even while powered up, his habits were the same as if he weren’t; he looked a little nervous and shifted positions on his feet as if he could ground himself better. He looked reluctant to speak, but it was less self consciousness and more that he was just trying to dig through his mind and connect the dots.
He offered a faint smile—a place holder for real emotion—and then things clicked. His face changed and his eyes lit up as comprehension finally hit. “Oh! Oh, I do! The—hold on,” he said after a moment; he fished through his pockets and withdrew the glowing pendant she had given him so long ago. “You gave me this. I still have it.”
He glanced at it for only a second before returning it to a pocket. “I’m sorry,” he said as he did so. “I do remember, but sometimes my mind is a little slow. I have a lot of things in there and some of them don’t want to come out.”
Some of them he just didn’t want to come out.
But Hyperborea was a friend; he wasn’t afraid of any of her memories.

Hyperborea couldn't stop herself now as she rushed forward throwing her arms around his neck. "I'm so happy. I'm glad you still have it." She was thankful the pendent had survived the purification from Youma to Human and that he still carried it with him.
"It's ok just take your time, purification messes with memories so I understand." She assured. Albeit she had no knowledge of how youma purification worked or how it affected a person.
"Do you have your senshi phone, you can call me anytime you need help and I swear I'll be right there." She wasn't going to let anything else bad happen to him if she could help it.

Evan braced himself when Hyperborea flung herself at him but when he realized it was only a hug, he relaxed. He seemed a bit tense—a byproduct of not being a fan of spontaneous human contact—but he managed a faint smile all the same.
Michel lingered nearby, arms crossed over his chest as he observed the two.
“I think I lost it for a while,” he confessed; he didn’t press the memory but he could have sworn he saw shadows of someone else holding it. Now that he thought about it, he wasn’t even sure when he’d gotten it back. “The pendant. Not my phone. I have my phone. It’s, uhm,” he paused and fumbled for a moment before withdrawing it. “It’s here. I haven’t played with it a lot so I don’t exactly know everything it can do. Yet. But I’m still working on it, I’m still learning. But I really appreciate the offer, thank you.”
