Caliban had only intended to power up for a bit to get home quicker, it was too hot tonight to really go patrolling. That's ALL it was meant to be.
Unfortunately, as soon as he had powered up, he felt an immediate Negaverse aura in the vicinity, and his conscious wouldn't allow him to ignore it. Surprisingly though, the aura was coming from an area he didn't usually go to while powered, closer to the more popular shopping districts. Usually even while he wasn't powered he shied away from them, only because they seemed to be busy 24/7.
As he moved closer he figured he really shouldn't have been surprised that a Negaverse agent would be in the area, there would be plenty of civilians to drain. When he got as close as he was able while powered, he looked over the roof of the building that he was on and looked down trying to find the source until... he saw a girl with very long hair and a familiar black symbol on their forehead. Well... it wouldn't be the first time he had fought one, but hopefully he would actually be able to do something this time.

There had been many things that were occupying the young woman's time and her proficiency when it came to filling her expected quotas had slipped in the wake of everything new that had burst into her life. Most days, her time spent powered were filled by her favorite individuals, her dear youma friend and the man from her dreams. Otherwise, she was training and working hard to earn recognition and respect from General Obsidian, to prove that she was powerful in her own right if she was sharpened just the right way.
Tonight, however, she had been excused from training. Her general had not arrived and when she contacted Angelite, there was dodginess that she did not feel inclined to dig into.
Instead, she went about trying to make up for the lack of her staying atop her quota. She was in the process of siphoning energy from a drunken man opting to yell slandering words at the passerby's when the p***k of order lit up her senses. Jade eyes went wide and she looked about for the source.

Derrick blinked a bit and could tell that the other was just draining what seemed to be a drunk man. That made him pause a bit, because nothing... really bad was going on unless for some reason she was intending to kill the man. He debated whether he should say something, but just because this agent currently wasn't doing anything too horrible, that didn't mean that she would stop at just this guy.
He sighed and finally said, "I'm not sure if you're planning to do anything else after draining him, but I'm going to have to ask you to stop it." He always did like to give them a chance, though they rarely took him up on it. Instead they would often attack and so he got himself ready just in case that was her response.

There they were.
Hydra's fingers dug into where she held the man, lips pressing into a line before she shoved him off and back, immediately tensing with defensiveness.
"Maybe you should mind your own business," she snapped, stepping over the dazed man and his sprawled legs. Long turquoise hair pooled behind her, dragging across the concrete as she stepped forward.
Hydra was a small thing, barely five feet and three inches, but she did her best to hold herself like she was bigger, powerful and her fingers twitched.
"I suggest you leave, before things get ugly."

Caliban huffed a bit. "Unfortunately as much as I would like to ignore you doing this, It's my job to stop this sort of thing and protect those who can't protect themselves from senshi like you." He replied, putting his hands on his hips. "If you're done draining him, I can leave you alone." At least he would give her the option of running, though he doubted she would take it.
"So if you don't want to take me up on my offer, things will just have to get 'ugly'."

Her eyes narrowed at him as he prattled off about things she felt like he knew nothing about. "You're preaching about things you don't understand," she snapped, hackles clearly raised as she took a step back, half tempted to take the man's starseed just to spite the senshi trying to act like he was some sort of hero.
Didn't he know that he was the problem?
In the end, she couldn't will herself to knowingly take a life and instead she lifted her hands, brows knitting together in concentration. Gloves lifted and before her a wave began to build, the area around her rumbling enough to knock over one of the metal trash cans by the passed out civilian.
"Maybe you should mind your own business," she snapped as the wave rose.

Similar to Hydra Strike, she spreads her arms open and there is rumbling beneath her and a wave begins to build before her this time reaching an upwards of 10ft. When she releases the wave there is an increased pressure/force when it slams down on her opponent. The force should be enough to knock them back if not off their feet - if they are knocked off their feet the pressure should hold them down until their next post. It takes approximately 30 seconds for the wave to reach full height.
Once again, if someone is with in 7ft of her they will feel the rumbling, if hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least two minutes, and the attack does not discriminate between ally or foe.
Usage: 2 Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

Caliban's eyebrows furrowed, clearly annoyed. Things he didn't understand? She took people's life force! As if there was anything else to understand about that. But it seemed that she was ready for a fight, as eh saw her left her hands and saw the wave forming.
He had a bit of trouble keeping himself steady as the ground was rumbling quite a bit. Perhaps if he was used to earthquakes he could move around easily, but he would just have to try his best to get to her and incapacitate her.
As fast as he could, he jogged over to and tried to use his power on her. His hands started to glow as he shouted "Seal Matrix!" And tried to punch her right arm. He hoped he would hit, because if he did miss, he was in a lot of trouble.
When he hits an opponent with his fists, causes them to be temporarily paralyzed for 15 seconds, where he hit his opponent.

It didn't take Hydra long to decide that the moonie was crazy coming at her with her wave right in front of her to try and hit her. The wave wasn't completely formed but she pushed it forward right as he threw his punch and she scrambled back.
Her heart thudded in her chest while hair whipped around almost wildly. Not stepping on her long locks as she scrambled back was difficult, but thanks to rigorous training she managed.
His fist grazed her arm and she felt panic rise as her limb went numb.
Luckily, she still had another arm and she lobbed a fist at him.

Caliban may have been a super senshi, but that didn't mean he was a fighting expert. Especially against magical ranged attacks, and so while he did manage to hit her a bit, he also was thrown back by the wave. Luckily for him it didn't throw him back to hard or hurt him, but it did shock him and he had water in his ears now, great.
He tried to get his bearings after the wave hit him, but only just managed to realize that a fist was flying at him, and was able to turn a bit, but still got hit in the face with most of it. Nothing he hadn't felt before, but he still hated it. He felt the pain for a second, but knew if he didn't recover in time, he would probably get another one. Or worse, another wave.
He shook his head a bit, trying to focus on his target. He regained his balance and threw his own fist at her, this time without attaching his magic to it and aimed for her other shoulder.

She was smaller than the moonie and she thought she was going to miss but was pleasantly surprised when her fist connected with his face. Moving about with one dead arm wasn't as easy as she would have liked, because it meant that she couldn't defend herself as easily.
With her mind racing, Hydra struggled to remember everything that Obsidian had been impressing upon her from the very first day she agreed to train beneath him.
Her ribs ached at the memory of what he was capable of, but reminded her that if she put her mind to it she could overcome nearly any obstacle. There wasn't much time to think before he was throwing a clumsy punch her way and her functioning arm rose, palm out, to try and bat the hand away.
"I don't think so!" She snapped, lifting a leg to kick out at him while trying to remain upright.

Honestly, Caliban really did need to train more. As many battles as he had been in, he had lost more than he had won. But then again, he hadn't even tried any self-defense or martial arts classes of yet, so he was still not quite that good of a fighter. And it showed when he was in situations such as this.
His fist was batted away and Caliban had to re-gain his balance. Surprised at himself though, he found that he had been able to catch the leg that had been coming towards him with a kick. Granted, he had had to use both hands to do it which left him a bit open, but it stopped the attack at least and he used the opportunity to put some distance between the two. Not too much distance though. He certainly didn't want another wave coming his way. He frowned, wondering how much longer he should be participating in this battle.
He thought that he had done enough for a second but... she could still drain her victim. And as long as he could move and had enough energy, he would fight her. Though if he was sure that he would be unable to get home after a certain point he would leave, but he wanted to at least try winning something for once! After all, he was a super senshi at this point! One would think he would be capable of winning at least one battle!

Caliban stopped her kick and the short super gritted her teeth as she hopped back. Sea green eyes narrowed and she busied herself making sure she wasn't knocked off balance by his actions. The moonie was bigger than she was, but that wasn't difficult to achieve, and she had to think about how to best play her strengths.
Not for the first time, she wished she didn't have a stupid amount of hair weighing her down.
When Caliban appeared to hesitate, Hydra darted forward with small fists thrown at the man.

Soon enough Caliban realized that they were getting no where with this. They seemed to be pretty evenly matched and neither wanted to use their magic once again, just in case the other could use theirs a few more times. This was pretty much at a stale mate. The best that Caliban could do at this point, was making it so it wouldn't be worth it to the other senshi to continue on and to just leave.
With that, he managed to dodge one of the senshi's fist and catch the other. He swung his arm so that her arm would knock her off balance, perhaps not off her feet, but enough to where it would knock her back a bit and bend her elbow int he opposite direction. Enough pain to make her want to go back and heal for a bit. Once he was sure that she was far enough away and could tell that she was favoring her arm a bit he huffed out, "I think we're done for tonight. But if I see you again, I will not hesitate to attack."
With that, he turned around, making sure he wouldn't be attacked, and made his way away from the senshi and towards his apartment. After powering down when he was closer to it, he sighed and realized that he would have to become more serious about this. Instead of it being a side job, it would have to be his main job while his money making job became the side. Lucky for him, he didn't need to bring any of his other work home with him.
