Cherith had always been an explorer at heart and when she could sneak away from her parents and siblings, that's exactly what she did. She was always testing the limits of her capabilities of flight, always trying to fly further, fly faster, fly higher. Today she had decided she would fly further than she ever had before. There was always a slight thrill in her escapades; the fact she had to sneak away and be sure to be unseen by those working on patrols so they wouldn't alert her parents. Even now, when she was beyond the Thunderbird's lands, Cherith couldn't quiet the nervous giddiness that filled her.
"Oooh, I hope no one saw me," she laughed, wings flapping as she soared through the air. "I just have to remember to be back before dusk hits." Cherith nodded to herself and scanned the horizon line, looking for anything that would catch her interest. Not too far off was a river and while it wasn't too hot out, it seemed like a lovely little place to play for a bit. So she wouldn't be flying too much further, knowing her, but she'd at least be able to say she had a wonderful day! Rein_Carnation Sorry for the delay! I haven't been feeling too great today. Hopefully this is an alright start! c:

 As the day yawned complete with a melody of birds and insects song a young filly stepped out for a new adventure. Things were still awkward to her initially understanding how everything worked or happened. Flying however her mother was gradually teaching her leaving imagination and determination to fuel that unbridled childlike spirit. Today however she took a dare within her own spirit gaining the strength to finally pull herself up within the clouds that looked like soft creations in her mind. Things weren't quite as smooth controlling two sets of wings but she was gaining the ability to trust in her instincts letting her small form glide through the air.
Proud of herself after a while her breath increased giving Poetry the hint she needed to rest upon the ground once more. At first disheartened she proved her landing successful with only a small dip that she refused to tell anyone about. Once she was upon the ground unknowingly aware of where she was the tall filly began looking around for others. This area seemed strange but fear wasn't an option, at least that's what her mother would say when her nervousness attached itself to her mindset. Something caught her eye though coming downward from the sky leaving her mind to speak the words, "Stay or flee". Curiously she stepped forward watching the mysterious thing approach realizing it was a youth around her age. Giddiness erupted through her though it wasn't like a bursting volcano. Her emotions always seemed more poised even in happiness of finding something new.
Instead, she trotted beneath the other coming into her descent to land before calling out in greeting, "Hello up there! Would you like to have an adventure with me?" Naturally Poetry was ecstatic to meet another of her species leaving the day to become filled with wonder and surprise filled with stories and new memories.

As Cherith descended, her eyes lit up and her ears flickered as she caught the sound of someone calling out to her. Her purple eyes caught sight of a dark colored filly with beautiful pink wings. "Oh wow, you're so pretty," she called out as she landed. Her wings flapped as she did her best to control her descent so she could come in to land. Cherith had to be careful not to come in too fast, otherwise she'd risk running into the filly at full speed. She managed to land without making too much of an embarrassment of herself in front of her possible new found friend.
After all four of her hooves were stable on the ground, she excitedly pranced over to the filly with pink wings. "Hiya! I'd love to go on an adventure with you. My name's Cherith, by the way, it's nice to meet you!" Cherith glanced about the small river to familiarize herself with the area. It'd be nice to have some sort of landmark this far out from her herdlands. After deciding that one particularly tall tree with almost heart shaped foliage would serve quite well as her landmark, her attention turned back to her random encounter. "What were you thinking about doing? I'm always ready to do anything fun."
