Lysander pulled himself out of the water and onto the beach with a cough, half curling up. Illogically his first thought was that he was glad he hadn't worn a suit for a change, finding himself completely soaked to the skin.

"R...ros." he said, sitting up and wringing water out of his ponytail, his bun having come loose in the chaos.

He scrambled over to the other figure laying in the sand nearby, not even bothering to stand and shook him. "Are you all right?" he asked anxiously.

Roswell rolled over in a soggy, miserable heap, spitting up a stomachful of seawater and asking, "I'm not dead?"

And then, more emotionally, "You're not dead?"

"No?" Lysander said, sounding a little bit offended at the implication. "I mean not any more dead than I was. I am still not negating the possibility that this might be some sort of afterlife or coma experience." He patted Ros's shoulder. "Glad you are all right though. I am SOAKED."

Shrugging off his shirt and coat he lay them out on the sand next to him miserably. "Is this island worse than the other one?"

Roswell was doing his best not to stare, but cleared his throat and followed suit, undoing his tie. He didn't feel very well, but then again, he was feeling livelier than most people who washed up on deserted islands after tsunamis. No broken limbs, for instance.

There was a pleased whicker, and a genteel, "You're welcome," from Gil.

"You're....going to burn without sunscreen, sir," he said. "But we can give it a look. Perhaps there will be a resort. Or, in what I feel is more likely, the only amenities will be coconut shells."

Lysander gave Roswell a slightly critical look as he seemed to daydream off into another train of thought. "Do you dye all of your hair?" he asked distantly, as if realising he'd never noticed.

"And oh yeah, I don't have any sunscreen." he said. "Or anything. A resort would be nice, I want to get into the shade, its too hot out here for me. Do you think they have coconuts here like in the movies at least?"

He sighed. "Man I loved Moana. What a cute movie."

He'd been rescued, so to speak, from the clutches of the ocean in a somewhat less than dramatic way - and more in the way of a piece of driftwood that has been washed ashore and then picked up by someone passing by and taking pity on it. Needless to say, Merric was feeling slightly less than stellar, but at least he was no longer sloshing through the ocean.

Mostly. Now he was just sloshing through the sand, because there were two very familiar figures he'd thought he'd spotted just up ahead, and relief was evident across Merric's face as he came closer.

"Oh, you're both here - are you all right?" Merric was a little breathless, his wet hair pushed back away from his face. "It seems we've been thrown into another ridiculous scenario, though this one seems better than a desert full of impossibly large centipedes."

He hoped.

"No," Roswell said, "why on earth would I- Merric! Oh, good, we're all...stranded here. Sir, I told you I'd dreamed about this, and now- oh, what does it matter. Maybe we're all that's left. ...And, once more, although I hate to admit it, I'm going to say this is something that was completely impossible to survive without," he tensed, but said it through gritted teeth, "magic."

"Look. Sometimes people survive weird things. It doesn't mean magic happened. Magic is more complicated than that." And he wasn't really ready to accept that it was real yet anyway. "Either way, I'm really glad you two are at least okay. I'm fine other than wet and I don't have a brush."

He wrung his rolled up shirt a bit. "But could be worse I guess, could be dead. We'll probably make this work somehow."

Or rather Roswell would.

Merric did not want to consider the possibility of them being stranded here. Or about the possibility of magic, but, well. He was still trying to figure out how he'd managed to get here in the first place, other than it having involved a lot of water.

And almost drowning, but that was beside the point. Merric took a corner of his own shirt and twisted it, squeezing out some of the dampness in what was possibly a fruitless endeavor, considering that he was soaked through to the bone already.

"I was hoping it wasn't magic," said Merric, sounding dejected at the very thought. "Are we supposed to..." He gestured vaguely at their surroundings. "Put up a tent, or...or what? Are there tents? I saw a cave, I think, but other than that, I've got nothing, really."
