The rain came out of nowhere. No, that wasn't true. The weather had made it very clear it was going to be absolute gloom and s**t, it was really all on Brittney for assuming that it was one of those quick showers. It wasn't.
And she was pissed.
"You ******** dumbass b***h! Why are you so ******** dumb and an asswipe punk?" she screamed aloud, cussing herself in an attempt to keep herself heated. She was running frantically towards the dorms, her flats splashing in puddles and getting her socks drenched and just being awful and unpleasant all around.
"Aaaaaaaaah ******** ******** ********> she screamed, uncaring who heard her profanities.

Jolene had been passing through on her way to track down more supplies to bring back to her room when she thought she heard... most definitely heard a voice shouting profanities just ahead of her. She assumed they were directed at herself as clearly Britt, who had been traveling quite quickly in Jolene's direction, was clearly by herself.
Jolene shot Britt a surprised look as she pointed herself in an attempt to confirm her assumptions had been true. She didn't seem to notice herself getting soaked as this basically meant she was now standing still in the poring rain.

Brittney was desperately (if not uselessly) trying to use her thoroughly soaked coat to act as a makeshift umbrella all to no avail. It was pointless. She was soaked to the bone at this point and there was nothing she could do about it but yell to let off some steam. And to stomp around in the puddled because why not ruin her shoes as well.
"The ******** you doing in the raiiiiiiin?" Brittney carried out the last syllable in a despondent whine, before realizing "Oh hey, the ******** why you dripping wet too?" she asked, letting her coat drop over her head, obscuring the other trainee from view unless she looked at her feet.

Jolene, still looking rather surprised, finally recognized Britt before the jacket slapped down to conceal her face. "Well, yes, I am wet. This rainy weather, huh?" She tried to carry on a casual conversation despite the fact she looked like a cat that just dragged itself out of a river. Hair, clothes, everything slicked flat and stuck to her like it was all merely painted on.
And she was still just... standing. In the rain. Getting wetter.

"Ugggh this rainy weather is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! It's like we're being drowned in some slut's vaginaaaaaaaaa!" Britt yelled, throwing her head back with an unnecessary dramatic flair, coat and ponytail arcing from the movement, probably displacing water but it was already raining so who could tell? "C'mon, let's get the ******** outta here and get a hot shower. Can you believe this bullshit? No personal showers? What a s**t show of a dorm."
If Jolene was headed somewhere else, Britt was convinced it could wait. She turned to move when she stopped and squinted, "Do you ******** see that?"
Something was heading their way.

Jolene looked genuinely surprised by Britt's metaphor and watched her with a greater level of dumbfounded than the water golem when it finally reared its.... watery head... back with a roar. She, assuredly, saw this s**t. But what were they to even do about it? She turned her attention back to her comrade, "Do... do we run or?..." To be fair, she hasn't really battled anything yet. Sorry Britt.

Brittney gave a snort, "We're already soaking wet, hell we're probably wetter than a lubed up slut in a sorority initiation five-way." Her weapon was on her arm without another thought and she found herself more than willing to take out her anger and frustration over the weather on whatever the ******** this thing is.
She let out a roar, less a warning, and more a promise of pain, "But we're not the one getting ********! Not if I have anything to do with it!"

Oh. Apparently they do not run. Amid all the expletives and terrible analogies, Jolene eventually figured out that it came to us vs that thing. So without much more thought to it she summoned her own weapon, a massive hook and then ran right on in and took a swing at the creature's head - water spraying everywhere but it still stood strong and shot her back with a torrent of water. HP - 36/40 DMG - 4 CHG - 1/3 GOLEM - 31/40

Brittney cheered, slashing at the watery creature with her claws. She would have liked a weapon that had more oomph, but hey, this meant she was getting up close and personal. Even if it gave the thing every chance to drown her, the retaliation was shrugged off.

Looking about as intimidating as a drowned cat, Jolene charged through the blasting water and slammed her weapon into the appendage/limb/tentacle/ whatever that had been blasting her in the first place. Every time Britt dropped an F-bomb, or other expletive, Jolene gave her an almost surprised look for it. Apparently, she was not quite as knowledgeable yet at Britt-speak. HP - 32/40

Brittney was used to people either scolding her or looking scandalized whenever she just let herself run at the mouth. Maybe she did it on purpose, maybe she was born with it, maybe it's maybelli- no. No, it's not. "We got it on the run! Let's get all Jigsaw with this ******** t**t-squeeze!"
Did the moon trainee even know what she was saying? The answer was: Did it even matter?

Jolene was pretty sure Britt was just rambling incoherently at this point and perhaps had received more damage from the golem than anticipated. She charged in for another slash of her weapon. The runes lit up along the blade one at a time until it was blazing a bright cyan colour. HP - 28/40

Jolene's silence made Britt think the other woman was scared silent and felt it was her duty to make up for the lack of fighting words and battle cries. "Come at me, you worthless, formless piece of s**t! Take on something ******** scary, I ******** dare you!" she laughed, uncaring of the stinging tendrils of water the golem retaliated with.

Maybe she should have been scared silent. Because as she went to use her weapon's ability for the first time ever - it basically exploded in her hands sending ice shards in all directions but only she was hit by them. The creature looked like it was laughing as it swat the disoriented trainee away. The heck was that??It's not my fault you don't know how to use me properly.HP - 20/40
