Brioche did what he always did at night, wander the streets, looking for someone or something that needed him. It was a pleasant night, all things considered, and the wind was warm and cozy through his thick fur. He had a feeling, a strange one, that someone was looking for him, so he followed it.

It didn't take too long that he found that person who called his name and hopped on top of a stone fence to look down at the girl who was calling him.

"Mrow?" He answered back, unfamiliar with just exactly it was... Atleast not anymore. She seemed familiar enough, but so much time had passed that his old memory was starting to fail on him.

Strange... How strange! The girl spoke to him as if they already were familiar... Maybe they were, he could not quite remember, cursed old mind of his! But her scent was one he trusted, familiar and warm. She spoke of Drew and Dria and... Well, given how she looked, it was no surprise she was related to them.

While he understood, he didn't seem quite ready to respond just yet verbally. Maybe the twins told the little one that they were in communications with a talking cat, but he didn't want to simply let this little girl believe it was real. Not with the fact that the war could end up swallowing her whole..

"Mrow!" Again he mewed at her, nuzzling into her hand. She could keep speaking if she wanted but he'd wait to respond.

Ah... How sad... Brioche finally pulled away from her hand, sitting back on his hind legs to look up at the little girl.

"Yes... I am like that one." He spoke softly, as to not let anyone else around hear them. "So you are a chibi then... What awful cat would do that to you? You are young, naive, too full of potential to have it wasted on a ware you do not understand. If you have that cat's name, do let me know. He had no right to thrust you into a fight that is not yours."

The cat almost came off as agitated, ear flickering a bit. He would never understand why people would treat children like soldiers. They didn't deserve it.

"I apologize for not speaking earlier. I wasn't sure... It's a please to meet you, little one. What is your Senshi name?"

"A Mirror Senshi? How do you know they were evil...? How do you know your siblings weren't in the wrong?" Brioche wasn't accusatory, just concerned... The younger ones often seemed the most naive when it came to this fight they were forced into... "He failed his duty to keep you safe... Now that you are a senshi, you understand that you won't ever be safe, right? You will always be drawn to fight, always finding yourself thrown into danger that you do not deserve. My heart breaks over this."

He took a few steps back from the little girl, only shaking his head. What's done is done, he supposed to himself as he sat down on his legs again, a headache already coming on. He swore to himself, if he ever did find that cat who awakened this poor child, he was going to give them a proper one-two!

"Ah, a Senshi of our Earthen cousins.... Surely you are powerful then. Does it suit your tastes?"

"Something missing? It could be the fact that you are not at your full strength. Your power is not that of your siblings, as you are still young. Such power does not come to you until you are old enough to fully dedicate yourself to the cause. As I said, it was foolish for that cat to awaken you." Brioche stood now, walking past Dani towards her home's front door. He did not wish to have this conversation... Not with a child. And he needed to speak with her siblings, to warn them to keep an eye on her. He would hate to see someone so young hurt for any reason...

"You should go back inside. It's not safe at night, even if you have powers."

"Don't you worry, little one. I will be as safe as I can." He was confident that he'd be fine. After all, he wasn't just some normal cat.

He was a cat who could talk!

And after she went inside, he too, went about his way, off to the next soul that seemed to call out for him.
