Static was nervous, but that was nothing new. He could feel his lusus's judgemental glare on the back of his head, and it felt like shame. Most kids his age, he had noticed, seemed to leave their lusus at home, but not Raijin, who was determined that the blueblood was still a child, no matter his height. The boy looked down at his feet as he kicked at the dirt. He had invited someone he had found really cool and was inspired to do a "battle". Mostly he just wanted to see the Shield up and close, he had visited his booth, but that only made Static want to see more of the large tealblooded star. He was waiting in the tealblood's home city's gym. The Celebrity was defiantly too famous and busy to go to Static's town, the blueblood concluded, so he had come here. The gym in four fronds was nice, not really what he was used to, but it was nice. The blueblood wished that Raijin didn't have to come, but he squared his shoulders and prepared to endure it. It sure was nice that other trolls couldn't understand his lusus.

The troll known as Shield was waylaid outside of the gym on his way inside. Since Superstar Authority had begun, he hadn’t had much downtime. Interviews, promotions… Finally, he had a chance to do some working out. Well, he WOULD, if he could get into the gym. Ganyma sighed under his mask. Even the amiable celebrity could tire of enthusiastic attention. He took a picture with a fan, and waved at the small crowd forming before heading inside. Fortunately, security would take it from here.

He rolled his shoulders and gave his mask a quick adjustment. Where to start? He figured he might as well head into the ring after a quick stretch. Finding the quietest spot he could, the troll stripped off his tank top, spread his limbs and twisted into an impressive stretch. The feeling of his muscles warming up - almost activating - was a relief. Less thinking, less talking, more grappling. After a while he melted into the exercise, only emerging from his trance when he hopped up to the familiar ropes of the ring.

Static Charge

Static saw the celebrity and lit up. It was really Shield! The tealblood looked like he was warming up, stretching, and getting ready for a fight. The blueblood started for the ring, excited to watch someone he idolized work. Maybe he could pick up some tips and the like. It was really cool too, because they both used their fists for most of their work. Static admired the gloves the older tealblood had with him. The blueblood was right at the ropes that surrounded the ring, watching his hero work out.

Raijin, tho, had other ideas. As Static stretched his neck out to see the tealblood, the lusus thought it sounded like a fun idea to zap his child, sending him sprawling out onto the ring. Static staggered, watching himself fall face first onto the floor, right at Shield's feet. "Uh, h-hello Shield..." He said, hurrying to get to his feet.

He’d just gone under the ropes when a blue smear plopped against the ground. Ganyma whirled, always at the ready. What was this?

Oh! A young man!

“Ah, hello! Do I know you?”

Static Charge

Static's nervous smile fell a little. Shield didnt remember him. "Im, um, im Static. I visited your booth for Superstar Authority, and, uh, asked for, a, um, a, battle... if, its okay..." He scratched the back of his neck, avoiding looking at the big tealblood. Shield was so popular, of course he didnt remember some scrawny blueblood asking for something as ridiculous as a battle.

"F-first hand experience is the, uh, the best way to learn... right?" Static could feel his palms getting sweaty. Already?! He was pretty sure he was the only troll on Alternia what got sweat nerves so much.

"Ah! Yes, of course!" Ganyma responded. To be fair, this one's face was a bit hard to forget. It made Ganyma feel a bit impersonal when he wasn't able to pinpoint a fan, so if anything he sparked (ha ha) a memory.

"Static! Here to collect?" Ganyma put his hands on the ropes of the ring, as a gesture for the young man to enter. "I'm warmed up."

Static beamed, absolutely estatic to be recognized and then hopefully beat up by his favorite celebrity. "Yes!" The blueblood had completely forgotten his earlier embarrassment, and saluted the tealblood in military respect. "Im as ready as I'll ever be!"

The blueblood hesitated for a moment. Shield had said he was ready, didn't he? So, Static didn't want to keep his hero waiting, and dodged in.

After wrapping their training spar with a "victory" for the ALG star, Shield and Static got along quite amicably. Shield was impressed by Static's natural talent and abilities, pleased with a polite up and coming military troll.
