You have encountered a Malfunctioning Teen-bot! Other trolls can assist in this fight, as long as there is an ic reason for them to join in. This is a mini-boss battle, the full rules and mechanics of which can be reviewed here. Once the mini-boss is at 0hp, this can be counted by all trolls participating as a battle rp for growth. You really did try to raise your robo-child right, putting both effort and possibly even love into trying to tame it. But something went wrong along the way. Perhaps you failed to communicate your intentions, or misunderstood its actions. Either way, you can't help but feel the memory of your robot haunt you in your sleep, accompanied by the sight of your torn and battered hive, shaking under its feet. You know in your pump biscuit that you two will meet again, and not long after you come to this realization, you do. Perhaps it's on the street, or at your local protein hub. Maybe it comes crashing back in through the very same wall it tore its way through before, in its search for freedom. If you rolled a 1, the teen-bot rips a large piece out of the nearby scenery, and gnashing its teeth, clubs you with it. The broken hunk of destroyed material hits you almost as hard as the flashbacks. Take 4* dmg.
If you rolled a 2, a greasy smell rolls over you. Regardless if it's familiar or not, you still barely leap out of the way before the teen-bot belches a sheet of flame, grazing you with the blast. Take 4 dmg.
If you rolled a 3, the teen-bot pulls a pail from somewhere and beats you over the head with it a few times. You feel unclean. Kids these days - so inappropriate and lewd! Take 3* dmg.
If you rolled a 4, you warily circle the teen-bot and as you get behind it, you leap forwards to try and give it a good disciplinary spanking. Spinning around, it knees you in the chest and then kicks you in the face a few times, as you bend double. Outmanoeuvred! Take 3* dmg.
If you rolled a 5, the teen-bot makes a rude gesture at you, and omits an ominously aggressive whirring sound from its face-box. Did it ... did it just try and sass you? You feel vaguely unsettled. Take 2* dmg.
If you rolled a 6, as you try and batter back the teen-bot, a scream wrenches itself up from your throat. In in contains exactly everything you've wanted to say to mechanical troll-children but you've never dared. Take 2 dmg. The robot hesitates and stares at you slightly surprised, off-balance, and perhaps emotionally wounded? Your attack does double damage.

The teen-bot staggers around, still swinging its fists and emitting disdainful noises. Then, slowly, its moments slow and grow jerkier and jerkier. Sitting down heavily on the ground, its head rolls to the side, and it emits a huge black cloud from its rear, as its eyes dim. Rest on the wings of the messiahs, blessed robot. Your struggles are over.

The teen-bot has worn you down, and now, as you find the last of the strength seeping out of your spirit, it proceeds to club you unconscious. You wake up in your underclothes, dangling by them on some low-hanging overhang in a public place, with insults scrawled all over your face. This seems to be a good sign to let go of the idea of grub-bots, kid-bots, teen-bots, and bot-based artificial life in general. In fact, if the entirety of Alternia could just forget the last few weeks even happened, that would probably be great for everyone. Especially the trolls who are staring at you, mouths open, as they walk past.

Caiden ran screaming towards the swamp. He probably should have been quieter, but this was an emergency, there was no time for quiet. "HELP!" The boy yelled as he ran along one of the many paths that lead to or around the swamp. His arms flailing, tears in his eyes, he ran almost blindly. He saw two trolls he recognized, and a pang of hope entered his plump-biscuit. "TEVINI! CERPIN!" The boy screamed as he ran up to them. "HELP SOMETHING IS FALLOWING ME AND IT ATTACKED AND JUST AAAAHHHH!" In the distance a troll sized silhouette stomped after the screaming brownblood, obviously angry and on the attack.

It had been a while since he'd come to the swamp. It was almost a refreshing night (despite the gross soggy muddy water and plant life in the area) until he heard the screams coming his direction. His eyes widened at the sight of Caiden in a frantic panic with some kind of demonic machine trailing behind him.
'Oh s**t.' Is what he thought.
"Oh ********> Is what he said.
Cerpin dashed towards Caiden to get the orangeblood behind him. He kind of doubted the other guy knew how to fight. All his memories of Caiden were basically rainbows and party time. He lurched forward at it, trying to grab a hole of it by the waist to wrestle it into submission. Using his sword on it could possibly work but the entire thing was made of metal so who knew?
He groaned as it twisted its body in impossible contortions to kick him in the face a few times. He had to remember that just because it looked troll-shaped didn't mean its movements had the same restrictions theirs did!
"Where did this even come from?!" The purpleblood had not participated in the lusus appreciation festivities and thus was perplexed and pissed off by the existence of this freakish device!

"Caiden?" The quiet redblood's face drained at the oncoming sight. She remembered hearing about these terrors. She'd purposefully avoided them. Why was there still one around!?
Cerpin's heroic lead allowed her a chance to circle around the other way. As the bot contorted around in impossible ways, she felt a bit queasy but took a deep breath. Focusing her powers, she tried to use her powers to see how much control she could gain over the bot's body. Maybe she could fling it away from here and they could all run away fast enough to avoid it. Unfortunately, she struggled to get a good grasp on it with her mind and had to change tactics. It appeared to be kicking Cerpin in the face. With a twist and pull, she re-angled the legs to use it's own strength against itself. Now it was kicking itself in the face.
"I heard about these. They're dangerous so keep your distance!" Tevini 'helpfully' called over to the close combat swordsman. She hoped that her trick had given him a chance to detach from the creature while they circled around it. They needed to come up with a plan.
"I might be able to disable it if you can get me access to it's wires! Think you can do that?" The engineer called over to the others, nervous but determined.

Caiden squealed as Cerpin went in for an attack. He didnt know about this, he didnt want to fight, but his friend was going for an attack, and there was no way the brownblood was going to abandon a friend. He had hoped they would have just turned and ran with him. So the boy turned around to face the thing, and pulled out his skateboard. He didnt really have a weapon... all he had was his skateboard Engrav had made him. As the boy dodged around the robot to smack it on the head, he saw something familiar... "Gearen?" The boy shouted in surprise as the blop of paint on the back of the robot's head brought a memory to his thinkpan. "GEAREN! My boy!" Caiden shouted and wrapped his arms around the mechanical monster. "IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"

Okay, sounded like a simple enough plan. Distract the robot and Tevini would rewire it's brain or something. Cerpin lunged forward with his blade raised, ready to strike until suddenly Caiden was there embracing the damn thing. The purpleblood yelped and veered his swing off course to crash into the muck water in order to avoid hitting his friend. The sword's blade dragged against the robot's legs, leaving a cosmetic scratch on it instead of the devastating blow Cerpin had been hoping for.
"Your boy? Is this thing yours?!" Cerpin looked completely lost and a little bit mad. If this thing belonged to Caiden, did that mean he was the one who'd let it loose to run around attacking people? The robot took advantage of this break in the violence to swing a bucket at Cerpin and he clutched at his forehead as he went down again.

"CAIDEN!" Tevini shrieked, horrified as he jumped into the bot's arms. What kind of insane suicide strategy was he pulling? Sure it would distract it, but she didn't want that to be at the cost of the thing snapping Caiden's neck! Cerpin slipped out of the way just in time and she clutched her chest in shock at the close call. Shaking her head, she tried to snap out of the surprise.
"Even if it was, it's dangerous Caiden! It needs to be stopped!" The redblood raised her nail gun and aimed. Her pulse pounded as she waited for an opening and struggled with trying not to hit the orangeblood. Maybe if she took out it's feet she could stop it from leaping around. If the thing was no longer mobile it wouldn't be as big of a threat anymore.
"Get away from it!" The girl shouted before firing and trying to impale a foot to the ground.

Holding onto the robot was not pleasant, to say the least. It slapped and jostled him around, and Caiden was thrown from his grip of love easily. "He was left all alone on my doorstep! I couldn't just abandon him!" Caiden said between tears. As the robot turned towards the brownblood, pure anger, or at least teen rebellion, in its eyes, Caiden summoned a swarm of butterflies to distract the beast with. "I loved him! Why dosnt he love me?!" The boy cried.

How beautiful! The robot wasn't the only thing distracted by the butterflies. Cerpin watched them in awe as well. It was a truly spectacular power and the purpleblood's frustrations vanished as he enjoyed the playful illusions.
Reality came crashing back down on his head in the form of another bucket to the brain.
"Vee, have you noticed any kind of OFF switch or something?!" He was grasping at straws here for any sort of way to break the enemy down even if it was fighting kind of dirty.

"Because it's a robot! It doesn't experience love!" Tevini shouted over to Caiden, trying to snap him out of believing the teen-bot to actually care about him. It was harsh and cruel but she needed to knock some sense into him before he tried to give it a kiss next! The orangeblood had a kind and loving air to him, she wasn't used to seeing that. She got the feeling he'd never give up on his own and they needed to protect him. Glancing over at Cerpin, she was struck by the sudden appearance of beautiful butterflies.
"O-oh-" The redblood's eyes widened at the image and she flushed in confusion. He looked so heroic and strong standing there! Sword in hand and-
... bucket in face!
"Ah! I'll try and look!" Oops, she supposed it wasn't helpful to stand back and stare. The teenbot took advantage of her distraction talking with Cerpin to bite a giant tree branch off and thrashed it's head around, knocking debris around the area. Turning to look at it, she cried out as part of the branch flew off and cut a gash across her shoulder. Clutching the wound, she tried not to cry from pain and fear and kept a better watch on the robot. She had to find a way to deactivate it before it killed them all!

Caiden could excuse a lot of things. He could excuse Engrav being grumpy, Cerpin being pretentious, even, with time, Austri being an a*****e, but he could not excuse letting his friends get hurt. He watched, horrified, as his baby bot proceeded to ravage the environment and hurt his two friends. He had to do something, but what?! "Gearen! Stop!" Caiden pleaded, but the robot simply ignored. He had to do something, so the brownblood brandished his skateboard in front of himself, attempting one last plea, "Gearen i love you! Please! Stop this!" As the teen-bot refused to stop its rampage, Caiden swung his skateboard, severing one of its arms. "Gearen im so sorry!"

He felt bad watching Caiden plead with the robot to no avail. It was a hard lesson to learn. Sometimes you had to destroy the things you loved. He circled behind the damned thing as the orangeblood tried to tearfully appeal to it. Tevini was nursing a nasty gash that the purpleblood was not happy to see. It was his job to protect her and so he would.
"Caiden, we have to shut him down! Sorry but it's him or us!" He swung his blade at it, landing a poor hit on its backside but managing to keep it from attacking the others for a moment.

It almost hurt more to watch Caiden than the wound she was nursing.
"I'm gonna try something!" The redblood called out as she focused on the bot. Tevini wasn't sure if her idea would work but it was worth a shot. The only thing was that it would take some concentration. Taking a deep breath, she held her gun steady, aiming straight at it to keep her focus. Tevini did not fire, though. It was too hard to aim while the two boys dashed in and out of close range. Good thing she'd come up with a different angle of attack!
From within.
"Nnghrahhh!" The girl shouted as she mentally followed the wires inside from where Caiden had hacked off an arm. Using her telekinesis to pull at them, she attempted to pull and break any internal mechanics she could find. It was hard, as she wasn't incredibly familiar with the inner workings of these bots but she had a vague idea of some wiring that all machines required. It seemed to work, to a degree, as the bot screamed from the re-calibrated wires and it's body twitched while it tried to recover.
Eerily, it stopped moving for a moment and simply stared at her. Well that couldn't be good.

"Gearen..." Caiden said slowly, holding up one arm to fend off the bots attacks. "Im sorry bud, i guess... i guess im not good as a lusus...." Caiden whispered to the robot child, before he raised a hand and struck the mad machine with his skateboard. He jumped back after his attack, and stood up straight. He wiped the tear from his eye, and gave Cerpin and Tevini as serious a look someone can give when they were just crying, and said seriously. "Hes gotta go."

"You're gonna be okay, Cai!" Cerpin rushed the robot again, crashing into it with a body slam to keep it away from Tevini. She was too valuable to let it get close to her. He could tell that the brownblooded boy was having great difficulty with the emotional turmoil of destroying his 'offspring' but it was an issue that hopefully could be sorted out later. After Gearen was no longer attacking them.
He hollered angrily as it thrashed around with buckets. It was not only embarrassing but also dangerous to be konked in the face with a hunk of metal!
