Her slightly worried smile was hidden from those with in the helicopter with her as she went through all of the control checks needed to take off. They were on a mission, an important one, and while she wouldn't be doing any of the fighting herself, she would still be in the mix of things by being the pilot. When the checks came back in the clear she gave her co-pilot the signal so he knew she was ready to get them in the air. "Hang on to your seats as I can't promise smooth sailing the entire time." She said over the comms to the others then took off. It would take them an hour to reach the Horsemen Isle and until that point they weren't likely to have any trouble at least.
The hour went by quickly and then half an hour more as she found them a safe place to land so the team could disembark on their mission. One glade later saw them landed and Meara waited to shut down the helicopter as they team secured the area, knowing better when they could need a speedy exit. A few minutes later the all clear was called and she reluctantly shut the machine down.
As she finished any after flight checking, she could see the team leader getting the perimeter locked down and ready for them to defend long enough for the second team to sneak in while her team drew the fire. Her heart beat faster in a mix of anticipation and apprehension but she trusted her team. Meara trusted them to protect her so she could get them out just as she knew they trusted her to get them back safely if things go south. She just hoped that both trusts would hold strong today.
