Lapis winced as he walked, a deep bruise on the side of his face sending shot of pain throughout his body. He had gotten the mark from one of his father's recent rages when he had been unfortunate to earn the ire of the foul tempered Japanese patriarch. His black eyes were sunken and hollow devoid of light.
He was carrying a recent victim of his draining, a rather nasty drunk, on his shoulders. He made his way to a hospital where he dropped the drunk right inside, leaving before anyone could see him and ask questions he didn't want to answer. He figured the man would be found quickly enough.
As he was leaving the hospital he suddenly felt the ping of an order aura. He looked around and found the woman in question, a woman he unfortunately recognized.
"Please I don't want to fight today." He said softly taking a step back.

She'd been going by the hospital for an entirely different reason. Just passing through en route to another area to patrol. That she stopped was solely due to sensing the Chaos aura in the area, coming down off the rooftops to stare and investigate. Note her surprise to see a familiar looking lieutenant, a dark brow lifting as he left a passed out man at the place and began his own exit.
At least he did drop the guy off after he drained him. It was more than a few points she'd figured she'd give to a Negaverse agent.
His response to spotting her was equally surprising, though given his race away from their previous encounter she wondered if the lack of bristling spine was just... how this kid was. She gave a small shrug, lifting her hands in the universal unarmed pose. Not that it meant much when your weapon was magic, but.
"What happened to your face?" Her question was soft. More firm than his voice, but keeping hostilities at bay. Another fight he lost? Didn't the Negaverse ever bother to train the people they dragged in?

Lapis was a bit relieved when the woman didn't start attacking him. He was less relieved when she asked him about his bruises. He knew better than to tell anyone the truth, his mother had long ago told him that it would bring shame to the family if he talked about personal things with others. He didn't want that. Besides he barely knew this woman and the one interaction he had with her had been less than pleasant.
"I um...It's nothing. I just..."He mentally went through the list of excuses he had for these moments "just got into a fight with some guys from my school." It was a lie and an obvious one at that but hopefully it would stop the questions.
"So why are you here?" He asked hoping to change the topic of conversation. He noted that she wasn't injured nor was she carrying anyone injured.

He'd have done better attributing the bruises to life as an agent. Saying it was people from his school, her brows rose, face contorting into an expression of shock edged in rage. "Isn't the Negaverse supposed to train you guys how to defend yourselves? They're doing a s**t job of it if you're having problems when you're not even in uniform." She could make a guess to why he'd have such encounters--skittish seeming kid like him?
Easy target for bullies or others looking for a kick.
Still, she gave a snort, shrugging at his question. "Felt a Chaos aura this way. Wanted to make sure it wasn't another attack on a hospital." The one that had happened earlier that year had been a particular ******** up in her opinion, but it at least made her more aware of how vulnerable a lot of places were around the city. Or how exploitable they could be. "It's... a relief to see that doesn't seem to be the case this time."

He blushed and looked down. "They outnumbered me. I couldn't exactly become lapis lazuli in front of them." He came up with a fake excuse. The idea to blame it on his powered life had never crossed his mind. Not to say he hadn't had to deal with bullies, he certainly had but he had generally learned how to avoid them by now if he did run across any.
A look of horror crossed his face. "Someone attacked a hospital?!" Sure he knew the Negaverse did horrible things but he thought that was within the context of war, there was no strategic value in attacking a hospital. Even if members of order resided there which he wasn't sure how anyone could possibly know that given the secretive nature of the war, they would be weak and injured and not worth attacking. Even if it was for energy he couldn't imagine sick and injured people gave much energy. He tried to keep his head down and not report in any more than necessary. Now he wished he had been more attentive. He could have maybe done something, talked to general Ashanite and gotten him to speak out against such a plan or maybe even gone to Queen Hessonite herself surely even she could the folly in such action. He felt a sting of guilt in his heart, his inaction was just as wrong as participation in his mind. How many innocent people were hurt, killed, in this attack.
"Do...Do you know who it was?" He couldn't change time but maybe he could talk to his general see about getting this agent reprimanded for their actions. Surely even the Negaverse wouldn't condone that.

"Should still be able to defend yourself when not Lapis Lazuli, kid. Monsters come in all shapes and forms." Her tone was more distant, apathetic almost, though she shook her head slightly to disrupt the darker thoughts that threatened to surge in her. Not a time to deal with that.
The shock on the agent's face about the hospital incident startled her a bit, and she blinked rapidly a few times. "Uh... yeah, didn't you hear about that? Destiny's Star and that whole fiasco? It was a freaking nightmare. Youma posed as staff--didn't know they could even do that--and ******** s**t up. No idea how bad others were hurt there, or if people died, but it was a hell of a mess." Wasn't he... told? Given though that some caught up in the mess had been agents as well, she mused that perhaps the Negaverse wasn't all inclusive in who got what sort of info.
Good way to ******** over their own people.
When he asked if she knew the identity of those behind it she paused, brow furrowed as she considered before shaking her head. "I don't remember, to be honest. I can ask around, see if anyone else heard something I didn't, but I don't have more info than that." Though, why she was even giving him info, she wasn't entirely sure.

"Yeah, I guess so." He said not looking at her face, his voice had a slight tone of defeat to it. A tone born from years of being reminded of "his place". He could try to fight back live the way he wanted but that wasn't his place, he had to follow orders whether they were from the Negaverse or his family.
"I...I didn't. I never asked for or wanted to be a part of....this." He said failing to find the words.
"I just meet my quotas and follow my general's orders and he was not a part of that." He explained. He already hated the way things were in his life, he didn't want to be involved in this war anymore than was necessary.
"I'm sorry, none of that should happen. I know the Negaverse is not good but there is nothing to gain from something like that. It couldn't have been sanctioned."It had to be the work of one mad man or woman or a splinter group .
"Please. If I have a name maybe I could take it to queen Hessonite or one of the other sovereigns. Maybe they can do something, punish whoever did that." He had to believe that.

His voice, his words... it all felt odd to Morgan. Her brow furrowed. He tried to make excuses for the Negaverse, It couldn't have been sactioned. As if most were good, and only a few rogue agents could be behind such atrocities.
The cynical senshi could only give a soft snort. Wishful thinking on his part, she figured. But why cling so hard to the ideal?
"I'll ask around for you, and see if I can't find more information on it all," she confirmed gently. Gently. As if she were speaking to a kid whose grasp on reality might not have been as strong as it should have. Which, in a way, was her perception. She glanced towards the guy he'd dropped off to be helped, took in--albeit with a grain of salt--that he was just meeting quotas and following orders.
"And if your leaders don't punish them?" The words were out of her lips before she could think, though Morgan only gave a slight shrug as she realized the potential flaw in saying so aloud. "Just... consider your options." She could say no more than that, really. It was his choice, his life he had to consider. She could offer information, and that was the extent of it all.
Letting out a breath, Morgan shook her head. "I have to keep going, need to patrol. Watch out for youma." And agents, was the unspoken addition, though she offered the one before her a small smile. "...try and stay safe, kid." He... confused her. Immensely. But she gave him a small wave, a two finger salute from her forehead, and the senshi continued on her way, hitting the rooftops quickly. He wasn't... like other agents she'd met. He actually seemed to give a s**t. But did he even know what he was doing? How long before the Negaverse twisted him into a monster like the rest of their ranks?
