Salem lived by the rules of life that no harm can come of trying something, so when he noticed that there was a jousting contest he shrugged and headed over to try things out. Brushing pale hair back he looked at the mounts, and tried to decide what one would be best to use.
The choice was not near as hard as he thought it would be, there was a lovely black panther that seemed to call out to him. Hmmm

Trying to tame the wild creature again he debated in asking someone for some catnip. That worked on the cats he used to have when he was younger.
The Panther shrieked at him resulting in him yelling at it to shut up and do as he said. It yawled again but sat staring at him balefully. Well that was a start but he was not going to trust it yet.

He again narrowed his eyes trying to decide what to do with the wild creature. He had to joust ON it didn't he?
Just as he was about to give all up as a lost cause the Sun leader came out and spoke to the panther and it soothed. He arched a brow at the reaction and decided that maybe the sun lead owned this one or something.

Now for the hard part. He climbed onto the Panther and after a moment of wondering what he was going to do, was handed a wooden sword. He looked at the hunter who had suggested that he go weaponless and arched a brow as if daring him to come and fight.
To his dismay that was who he was supposed to fight. Ugh, this was getting bad.

Well it seemed before anything even started the one that was talking fell off his mount. He couldn't keep seated. Salem on the other hand knew to at least hold on with his knees.
He grinned and leaned back a bit patting the beast on the neck. He liked this feline.
