THE BOSS FIGHT IS OPEN FROM NOW - JUNE 29th @ 11:59 PM PST
You are still trapped in that virtual space. You, who do not belong, here, who should not belong here. You, who have succumbed to the final stages of sickness, the last pieces of discarded memories with no place to go.
The silence of being alone in the fog is stifling. The silence of someone approaching even more so. Everything turns grey and you hear the whispers voice. One voice, many voices, familiar, but not.
gaia_crown[ UPON COMPLETION OF 250 WRITTEN WORD POST(S)] +2 raffle ticket, +full heal to your character (item you can use ANY TIME in finale), +1 unique boss card (see below for info). Raffle tickets and boss card can only be obtained one PER user, rest is unlimited for characters. (You can turn in this part of the prize ASAP without waiting for GM confirmation, when you've written the word count. Additional prizes below require GM confirmation: SEE BELOW.)
gaia_crown[ UNIQUE BOSS CARDS: ] Only five bosses like the above drop a unique boss card that is needed to turn in here. You may only claim one PER user.
gaia_crown[ THE MADNESS ]: All you is RP a reaction to them discovering this Insanity space for the 250 words. Insanity is a strange effect that SloWlY CauSeS Your MInd to DeterioRatE. If all you're doing is rping a reaction, you only need to post your character wandering the infinite thick fog, occasionally seeing shadows and hearing accusatory voices of their friends/allies. Sometimes, they may even hear the opponent they defeated mocking them for what they've done (if your character has defeated their part 1 boss already).
gaia_crown[ THE INFINITE FOG SETTING ] This is in an open space ORP as well, meaning BOTH FACTIONS CAN ENTER THIS SPACE, a wide open area of grey that has no resemblance to The Dusk or The Island. It is only fog, as far as the eye can see, and it, though occasionally you can see a shadow peeking out, just so.
gaia_crown[ FIGHTING THE BOSS ]There are however, ADDITIONAL PRIZES below for fighting the boss (think: loot pinata) and defeating it above certain HP thresholds. You can attack UP TO 5 times PER CHARACTER with whatever combination of attacks/etc your character has currently (roll 2dX or use a fear/charged attack where applicable).
If you are attacking the boss please look at the post above yours, and edit the cumulative damage. Before posting anything else, if attacking exclaimEDIT YOUR POST FIRST WITH THE CUMULATIVE DAMAGE IMMEDIATELYexclaim.
You can also defend or heal the boss if you really want to. This uses up your items if you're healing it (???). For defending, subtract the defense value onto the damage done though who would want to do that??
EVERY post you attack/heal/interact with the boss (again you can do this 5 times per character), your character becomes infected with MoRe InSaniTy. This effect does not take any hold outside of this thread. Look at the tiers below: 1 interaction/attack: Your character begins to hear more voices. They begin saying random memories too, repeating them. 2 interaction/attacks: Your character cannot differentiate between allies and enemies in this thread anymore 3 interaction/attacks: Your character is convinced everyone else is out to get them. They can use their remaining turns to attack other players instead (quote them) 4 interaction/attacks. Your character thinks they are physically crumbling/falling apart. They can't seem to get a grip of anything around them. 5 interaction/attacks. Your character believes they've actually dissolved and joined the fog. They can now clearly see bodies inside the fog. The only way to get them out of it is to have the boss take 200 cumulative damage. (Note: again THESE DO NOT AFFECT RPS OUTSIDE THIS THREAD).
PLEASE POST ALL REACTIONS AND DAMAGES IN THIS THREAD. Quote anyone you are rping with as this is an rp space too!

Tanita cried out in shock, staring around in displeasure and some horror at the space she now found herself in. She spread her wings, and attempted to take off. Attempted to, but found herself unable to do so. She shuddered all over, and then saw a shadow, accusing her of something... A shadow that reminded her all too well of the battle she had just had with Not!Herself. She snarled, and launched her still aching body at it, her claws lashing out, her eyes wide with rage.
When she hit something, she tore at it, rending it with all her pent up fear and worry, unable to stop herself from trying to kill whatever it was this time. She finally launched backwards, and tried to find whatever it was she attacked, to see how much damage she had done. She found that the fog had already obscured whatever the hell it was, and she snarled again, turning and staring in this horrible space.
She heard the whispers, the accusations. She saw the other shadows, the ones that looked like friends, her family. She didn't attack them, not now, but she did try to go to them, worried and afraid. "Mama...? Are you here too?" She cried out, thinking she had seen the great Elder Dragon in the fog. She heard no replies, and could not seem to get closer to the shadow that looked so much like her mother's figure before it seemed like whatever she had actually been chasing faded out in the fog.
What was that? Clyde was lost. This place, this whole world seemed to be ungrounded, like a dream. the landscape warped and moved almost of it's own free will, not holding together.
And then he heard the whispers.
Did he know them? He didn't know, he was just himself doing his thing. They wanted help? he didn't know how to help.
Who was gone? They were gone? Everyone was gone? Clyde was confused. He... he was mostly alone. but he had been pretty comfortable with being alone. But nothing here was real. Things turned sideways.
He didn't kill anyone though. Just... just that monster that looked like him. That was it though, they only looked like him.
Clyde pulled out his guns, confused but ready to fight. "I will help." help this thing end it.
Character: Clyde journal A chill dude. He's pretty relaxed, and is wearing his shirt around his waist instead of on his chest. Look at his guns.

The fog.
Riley's hands slowly clutched, in and out, tightening into fists only to release again. She did it consistently, as a reminder that even as she walked, she was not turning to stone. She was not being consumed by the Insanity around her, this time.
But she was no less terrified of the prospect, even as she looked for something made of flesh and blood to take her mind off of how eerily familiar this place was. The yawning expanse, the nothing, the feel of being trapped in the grey.
This was not her first time here. It would not be her last.
"For all of your strength and power, it kind of looks like you're just as dead as I am, doesn't it?"
She whipped around, tentacles snapping to life as they punctured through the fog in the direction of the whisper. She knew that voice. She'd been that voice. She found nothing to attack, but kept herself twisted in that direction, even as she continued to walk through the fog looking for some way out.
The whisper came again, from her other side. "Turns out killing me was pointless. What good did it do, if I'm still here with you?"
She lashed out in every direction this time, feeling nothing but the thick fog slide across her tentacles, and hearing that distant, echoey laughter. She let the anger burn deep and warm inside of her, keeping her sane.
It will take more than the fog to break me this time. She reminded the Insanity, greeting it like an old friend.
Riley's HP: 40/70 Damage: 12+3=15 BOSS DAMAGE DONE TOTAL: 26
She could feel the fog begin to seep into her mind. It was trying to convince her, through the whispers she'd all heard before, that the people around her were her enemies.
The joke was on the Insanity, this time around. To Riley, everyone is an enemy.
Riley's HP: 40/70 Damage: 14+3=17 BOSS DAMAGE DONE TOTAL: 43

"They know."
She batted at the ear where she heard the whisper, tired of trying to fight a ghost.
Know what.
"They know what you've done. All of them. They're coming for you. That's why you're trapped here. They're coming to finally bring you to justice."
She could see movement in the fog. Others, trying to find their way. Trying to find their way to her.
She backed away from the shadows, cringing at the sight.
"They're going to get you." That gentle voice promised her. "And they're going to put you down, once and for all."
Her fingers were the first to go. She'd seen it before, watched her body give in to the Insanity. She remembered exactly what it felt like; and it wasn't this. She couldn't feel anything, this time.
She couldn't feel Malodore's body in her arms as she turned to stone. She couldn't feel the pain as she held up her hand, flat and turned away from her, and just watched the pieces slowly drift up into non-existence. There was nothing, not even a sense of relief. This was how she knew this world wasn't real.
She closed her eyes, refusing to watch herself crumble away.

When she finally disappeared, and she knew there was nothing left even though she couldn't feel anything to prove it, she couldn't close her eyes. There were no eyes left to close. She simply was, and maybe that was the worst punishment of all.
Something emerged from the fog and it was... terrifying. What even was that. Clyde looked at the mass. It attacked and Clyde wondered if he should attack that thing or deal with the thing in front of him.
Vanessa whispered to him. I think it's best if we just avoid that thing for now. Help the thing move on and get out. You can't take them all.
Clyde agreed. He couldn't take that on, nor did he want to try. That wasn't why he was here at all. He wanted to make things better, not die a pointless death.
He only shot once at the thing, as if shooting less would attract less attention.
As with many Halloween creatures whom had been exposed to the effects of insanity, Pokerus had a intense dislike for fog and the resulting voices that came with it. She flew into the mass without realizing, and at once was sent spiraling to the ground, unable to keep airborne.
"Jacking hell!" Many curses followed, the dragoness getting to her feet and snarling at nothing and everything. She could hear things. They told her to get out, but already she was surrounded by grey. Her senses were muddled, unable to see where she was or how to escape.
Then of course, the giant thing approached. She stood back bearing teeth, wings flaring and tail lashing angrily. She had insanity beasts because they had a tendency to infect everyone else. She could still remember being under its influence, attacking everyone and anything at will. Not again, no, she didn't want to experience that ever again.
The voices were desperate. Pokerus spun around trying to locate them. Someone had to be saved? Was there no hope? Their words were scattered, yet they sent a chill down her spine.
You did this to me. You killed me. Why did you kill me?
"W-what?" Wasn't that...Jack dammit it was. "I didn't want to!" She called out into the fog.
Liar. You're just a monster. You only want to take our lives, our freedom. We are nothing to you.
"It's not true!" She bit her lip. She was hearing too many voices. Maybe she should try and take down that thing.
Jason had been running endlessly around the dusk, searching for anyone he might recognize or needed medical attention. Nothing made any sense, he didn't even know how he had ended up here.
Now he stood, stranded within a endless tirade of fog. Very familiar looking fog. With voices and creepy things and - Oh holy heck what was that a giant thing.
He was thankful no one was around to hear him scream, falling backwards at the sight of the insanity looking creature. He was no FEAR creature but he doubted he would have any immunity to insanity affects.
"W-why d-did we even touch this stuff in the first place?!" Who's brilliant idea was it to mess with insanity?!
< I believe it was a byproduct of unsuccessful weapon conversions > Zanth reminded him.
"it's s-still horrible!" He got to his feet. Should he face this thing? There was no one around, so maybe it was better to run away.
Coward!
Another scream followed the sudden, loud voice that hurtled more insults at him.
How dare you destroyed me, you disgusting piece of s**t! I will never let you walk out of here alive!
"W-why aren't you d-dead?!" He whined, sword summoned and looking for the source of the voice. He knew who it was, it was that horseman he killed.
I will destroy you
"N-no you won't!" He peered into the fog. Was there something there, waiting in the distance? The moon hunter shivered, stumbling back and opting to just run in a random direction. Yeah that sounded like a great idea.
