Quote: gaia_crown Attack Base Location - The Sahara (one of multiple bases) Description - The most unforgiving of all the bases, and considered a horseman stronghold, the Sahara boasts unfavorable sand, winds, and horsemen that threaten to kill you on sight. Bonuses: Sun Hunters here get a bonus. When attacking the mob, their dice modifier is -4 instead of -6. Mist Hunters roll 1d4. If even they can copycat this bonus. Mechanic: Roll 1d6. If 1, your guarding the base goes smoothly (rp it out = success!). Otherwise, you spawn a horseman mob. It has a cumulative 30/30 HP (+10 for EACH ADDITIONAL CHARACTER IN THE RP) and does -5 auto damage to each character in that thread that attacks it. Your goal is to destroy the horsemen before it destroys you! RARE SPAWN: If you down a horseman, roll 1d100. If higher than 90 you may spot an unusual colossus of a creature that begins to chase after you - it is massive, easily over 100 feet and shaped like a huge goliath, sand streaming out of it every step it takes. You cannot defeat it as it slowly begins to move after you. You will need to escape - when you do, collect a bonus +5 arcana and +25 currency for surviving this!

[Defending....]
After the uneventful day at Antarctica, Clidua signed up for defending another base. Sahara Desert, a place well-known for its harsh environment and considered a stronghold for the Famine Clan. The petite Moon sought advice from experienced hunters before preparing her clothes and belongings. Water was a must, same as a pair of protective goggles and light clothes that could cover every single part of skin. Oh yes, her sunscreen. She wouldn't like to have her fair skin tanned.
Behind her goggles, she watched as the sand scraped around by the strong wind. Local stationed hunters warned her about the occasional sandstorm and reminded her remember to replenish moisture from time to time.
The first half of the day was quite peaceful, with only a bright sun scorching the sands under their feet. Heat could be felt rising from the ground as if they were in a giant oven.
When the night fell, they took turn to take rest. The night of the desert was silent, you can only hear the sands drifting. Suddenly the petite Moon caught some strange noises and she moved a few steps forwards with a binocular. It was a shadow walking towards the base, behind them were a swarm of flying insects.
Well, she had waited. Her bloods boiled rapidly for the coming excitement, a keen fight with a horseman. One versus one was a good deal.

She waited for the horseman to get closer until she could make out what they were wearing. "Let's play together, shall we?" She invited with a smile and jumped up, took off her heart pin to summon One.
The horseman oddly moved away and her axe landed over the sands, they bounced off the surface like a firework. "Ah that's it. What I'm looking for."

The petite Moon raised the axe and slashed widely across, most of its power was reduced by the swarm of insects that protected the horseman. They bite her arm and left countless small wounds.
"Not enough," Clidua commented.

After blocking the horseman's weapon, Clidua bounced with a sidekick and wielded One top-down. "Show me more. More. More."

When One informed her the charge was ready, Clidua didn't hesistate to use it, hoping the horseman would give her a nice surprise. However, she could only see them dissipate, together with the sandy wind.
"That's game over?" She arched an eyebrow and pouted.

Oh s**t, that might be their real last move! Clidua was amused as she ran from her life, chasing behind her was a enormous creature above 100 feet. I don't think I can deal with it, do you? She teased One for that, while taking a quick glimpse behind. It was still after her, she wondered how such a big thing didn't sink but walk on the sand as if walking on a water surface. The stationed hunters were waving at her, telling her to retreat as they won't be able to handle that. They would have to give up their base, via the headset, they instructed her the location of the portal they set up and she escaped just in time. Quote: RARE SPAWN: If you down a horseman, roll 1d100.
