Mini pet duty was not something Andrew got often. He actually didn't normally spend much time here. Mini pets wiggled and like to try and nibble fingers off. Andrew was not fond of anything touching him, but since he had confiscated the fish, he was curious to see how they were doing. Just to look mind you, Andrew had zero interest in trying to retrieve one from the tank. That would require putting a hand into the odd stuff that they were swimming in. Andrew squatted down and stared into the tank, just watching the fish swim around. He could even figure out which were his fish.

Lyra wasn't sure why she had been assigned to minipet duty. Now that she was an intermediate she didn't think she should have to do things like that... not to mention shouldn't someone in Life being doing this? But no. That's what the roster said, so that's what she was doing. It seemed a waste of a good Sun in her eyes. Though, she noticed as she entered the room and began to look around, she wasn't the only person here. In fact...hey she knew that guy. She stepped right up next to him. "I thought you looked familiar before, too. Your a fellow Sun, right? What are you doing down here?" She gestured to the fish. "Come to say hi to yours?"

"What?" Andrew was absolutely not just saying hi to his fish. He didn't even like fish. It was just for the assignment. His fash flushed, and he looked away. He really wished the lab had stayed empty. "I'm not saying hi." He stared at the fish. " I am in sun."

Lyra found herself smiling. What was with that response? Hmm. "Sure you're not. I'm not here to say hi, either." She looked at the fish tank. "Hi, fish." She turned back to her fellow Sun. "I'm Lyra. Your fish did really well the other day." She had almost forgotten she was actually supposed to be feeding the fish. Her new friend was more interesting by far.

"You are a damn liar is what you are." He pouted at her, but didn't get further into that train of thought. "You mean it did great loosing." His fish had done better than hers, but not by much. "That was this guy." He pointed at champ. "Some of the others I got did much better. Not bad considering we were training fear creatures."

"Only when it suits me," she said with a grin. She didn't like lying as a rule, but jokes had their place. "Oh? You mean they can do better than what I saw? I mean, Tim Jr was pretty terrible." She eyed the tank. There was no way to tell which one was hers. "You must be a pretty good trainer. Have you trained a lot of fish? Have you won a lot?"

"Trainer? Ahhh, well I collected a couple, like 7 all together." How old was this girl? She seemed young, too young to be a hunter. Honestly, too young to be away from her parents, if she had them, which he assumed she had. "I beat Allen's a few times. These guys are a bit easier to deal with than the mounts."

"I've collected...two." So he was clearly better at this than her. Practice made perfect, after all. "Wow. Good work! I've not had much dealing with the mounts yet. Do you work with these Fear creatures a lot?" Did he have stories to tell? She looked at him with wide eyes, expecting to hear some kind of cool story. "I mean, I only really do when I have to feed them, like today."

"Oh not really. You know we sun mostly fight them... But Hunter had us doing some jousting. One of the mounts ate my sleeve and tried to eat my arm. That's what the FEAR shields are for." Butane preened himself in pride, silently, Andrew noticed and was annoyed, rolling his eyes at the weapon. "And I rode the dragon one for a while. I mean Paige and I shoved each other off, but you know, that was the point." he shrugged again. "Honestly mounts were kind of fun." He grabbed some of the food and sprinkled it in the water and watched the fish chase after the bits. "I dare you to stick your hand in there and feed them from it." He said and handed her container, pulling out his phone. He was totally going to record it if she did. Grifferie Daring trainees to do questionable things.

"Oh wow! That does sound awesome. And dangerous." Very cool. Very, very cool. "I'll have to play with those mounts later." She could just imagine a dragon trying to eat Rival's arm. "Wait, what?" Lyra looked at the tank, then back at Rival. (yes that is his name now) "It looks kinda gross in there..." It really did. However... "OKAY!" Lyra wasn't one to back down from a dare. She was just as tough as he was, too. He had his arm nearly eaten by a mount, some fish nibbling at her was no issue. Right? Of course! Lyra dumped some of the food into her hand. "I bet it tickles." She dunked her hand right into the tank. Two things happened. One, much of the food began to float out of her hand. Two. The fish got very excited. Very, very excited. They swarmed and splashed - water going everywhere as Lyra's arm was pushed against the glass. The fish were hungry. At least they didn't have teeth.

Andrew was totally recording this. She was a good sport about it. He laughed when the fish jammed her arm against the glass. She didn't look hurt. "Did it tickle?" he grinned at her. He was uploading this later. Score!
