Paige was called back to do another round of patrolling the Sahara base, except instead of being there in the middle of the day, she had to do the night shift instead.

This brought it's own pros and cons. For starts she wasn't going to be stuck in the blazing heat, but deserts got cold at night. Really cold. As she walked through the portal she found herself shivering within moments of being exposed to the firgit air. Her breath misted in front of her face, and she held her coat tight around her as she walked around the edges of the base. At least there were no strong winds. But dam if she wasn't freezing.

She spent a few minutes making a pot of coffee to keep herself warm, gazing over the hills of sand while sipping the hot brew. Again the horsemen hadn't made a appearance. Which was good, everyone would stay safe for another day but Paige couldn't help but be bored. Walking around a base with nothing to fight was boring. She needed some action. And a excuse to warm herself up.

Looking skyward, she watched the stars twinkle overhead. It really was true what they said, that not being in a large city let you see them clearer as there were no bright city lights to obstruct their light.

Whirl seemed to enjoy watching the stars.

"Yeah" She mused, then checked her watch "Sweet, time to bail." And get back to where it was warm.
