The task of a software developer within Horse is far more varied than in most larger companies, within Horse people cross-dabble in any number of different disciplines and the result is shared with the whole of the clans to further their aims.
You will have to work on the lowest level of these tasks, helping to develop of uncover new software quirks.
[ MECHANICS ]
Roll 1d6 twice, each roll is half the day.
- Accidentally you upload a file wrong and delete one of the important directories used by the programmers, it has to be restored by a backup.
- You find a way to use the more tech oriented famine insects to carry spy devices into formerly difficult to reach places using a programmable device.
- You spend all day helping to set up a large bot net for an attack by another division.
- You help to develop one of the major projects going on at the HQ and it all goes nice and well.
- You write a huge swathe of code using the helper program but somewhere in the 5000 lines is an unclosed tag which you must find.
- Tyr stops by and helps you solve a problem that was causing hassle before swanning off again in his usual way.

After the short stint of a base mission she was back doing desk work at Pale Horse. It was odd here, seeing the insects that swarmed.. but she was able to make something amazing with them. It started with a scarab beetle, or something that looked like a scarab beetle, which she placed a small camera on the head of and poked it with a pencil while popping her gum loudly to see if it would move. While initially it fell over, she managed to secure it again and put an electrode on the bug, poking the coding to see if it would work. "Come on you damn bug..."
It decided to listen. And then she managed to get another to do it, and another until a tiny little army was carrying cameras around the space. "Well, something works at least." Iyari stretched out before wandering to the nearest computer.
A sticky note on her monitor only said to write code and she frowned, feeling like this one some task for a different Hunter entirely, but she obliged and began writing. It was far more tedious than anything she could have imagined, even more tedious than all the cleaning she had done as a trainee. At least it was mindless and she could ignore it for a bit.
Or, so she thought.
When it was time to test it there was clearly something wrong with it as it failed to work and she stared blankly. "I'm going to die..." Iyari grunted, looking at the time and realizing that it was going to be one of those kind of overtime nights.
