Chao had long since stopped considering the pet shop assignment a mission. Missions where boring and tiring. This was fun! She got to play with fish and win prizes as she kept an eye on horseman activity. Most of the activity was the horsemen playing the fish raising game like she was. It was a bit early so there was not as many people in the shop yet, which meant that she had a better chance at choosing a champion.
Chao hummed as she exploring looking at the tanks to see which fish she liked best. Asagi was sitting on her shoulder silently judging every fish.
Spotting the owner of the shop Allen, Chao waved at him. The shop owner came over smiling. "Looking for a new friend to train?" He questioned the hunter pretending to be a Conquest horseman.
"Yup!" She replied cheerfully.
"I just breed a new pattern of Floresce, how about I give you first pick of 'em . Since you've manged to raise them so well." Allen offered.
"That would be amazing!" Chao's eyes sparkled at the thought of getting the first pick of a new type of Floresce. Asagi Fluffed himself up and shrieked, he did not like this.
"Ahh sorry about him, I think he is jealous of the Floresce." She told Allen while shushing her minipet.
"No worries, no worries." The jovial man said as he led the way to the room containing the new breed of fish.
Chao immediately headed over to fish tank to take a look at the new pattern, forgetting that this was a horseman establishment and she could keep her guard up. She jumped when Asgai took off screaming. Turning around the hunter Noticed the door had closed and she was surrounded by Horsemen.
Well s**t. She should have known better than to let her guard down, but the game had been fun and Allen had seemed so nice. Chao quickly summoned her weapon ready to fight her way out of the room. She was focused on the Horseman who had their weapons out and not the one who was holding one of the Floresce. They'd have to put the fish down to attack.
Darting forward with her scythe she tried to attack the horseman closest to the door, if they dodged she'd probably sliced through the door and hopefully create an opening.
Ather kept hissing about how stupid stupid stupid she was to let her guard down and that she should have listened. This was a job damn it, and her minipet had a better intuition than she did. Which was not helping her concentrate.
The horseman used their own weapon to block the scythe, as she went to swing again Chao felt a sharp pain in the back of her head and blacked out. The horseman with the Florsce had decided to bludgeon the hunter with said fish.
Asagi attempted to dive bomb the horseman in an attempt to protect his owner but Allen was ready and quickly snapped a cage around the bird.
"I was hoping she'd bring the bird today." Allen said over Asagi's screaming. "He's worth a lot, I wonder how a hunter manged to get such a rare mini in the first place." He mused aloud. Turning to the other Horsemen in the room he told them to take care of the hunter.
The horseman where all to happy to oblige and they all quickly stabbed their weapons into the unconscious hunter. They'd deal with the body later, maybe feed it to minis or something.
Asagi continued to scream as Allen let the room taking the very angry bird with him. Asagi was going to kill whoever was in reach when he got out of this cage.
