"Inventory manager" on paper sounded like the most boring thing in the world. Who wanted to spend their time getting s**t organized, even if it was for money? Shik groaned as he was assigned to the back to check out a few boxes. DeVour, meanwhile, was utterly tickled at the prospect.
[ We could be handling precious Halloween artifacts! ] she tittered. [ Think of the possibilities! Perhaps the horsemen are restoring some of the old relics back to their former glory. Oh, if only I remembered what some of them were... ]

Shik just internally rolled his eyes are her and got started. Several of the boxes looked completely fine, and so he separated them to check them out. DeVour cooed as he picked through the contents of each, making sure things were in order. So far, 3 boxes looked perfectly fine.

Shik was glad his fear shield made things a littler easier for him when he was picking out all the broken glass from the next too boxes. Whoever had delivered this s**t hadn't bothered to be careful, which was just annoying on all levels.

Well this was odd...In one dining room set, there were 2 spoons missing, but in the other all the forks were gone. Shik suspected someone was absconding with the silverware. Cheapskates.
