She was no stranger to heat and humidity, but even Shaheen had to admit that being stuck in a stuffy, hot office with boards across what had once been a wonderful view through an intact window was becoming quickly unbearable. The hurricane had taken it's toll on many of the buildings, and her office had not managed to escape it's wrath. The forceful winds had actually managed to blow out her window, allowing rain to drench anything that wasn't protected by her filing cabinet in the corner.

And now she had work to do, an office to clean, paperwork that had been utterly destroyed and as of yet, nobody from the moon division had bothered to show up and fix her damn window. <******** perfect.

To top off her day, the incessant buzzing and pinging of her phone had gotten to the point of aggravating distraction, and she finally pulled it out of her pocket, just to see that her messenger was exactly who she had, unfortunately, suspected.

Oh, wait. Wait. Hello, there, what was this? Despite herself, Shaheen's lips quirked into the smallest hint of a smile at the image that had been sent, though that quickly faded when she read the rest, a disgusted sound scoffed out from the back of her throat. He knew she was without the luxury of a window, the gigantic a*****e!

She was out of her door with an armful of files before the texts inviting her over had even come through, as she had already made the decision to invite herself, but she probably did look rather funny, chin propped up on the stack of papers in their folders, arm wrapped around beneath and the other around the front as she attempted to lift her hand up enough to see her phone without everything slipping to the floor as she struggled her way down the hall.



Sent, a split second before, "Knock knock, s**t head!" Was called through his door.

She swept into the room with her head held high, her phone no longer something she needed to keep an eye on and so she was able to carry her stack of paperwork with dignity and poise, looking for all the world like the title of princess was inadequate.

Because it was.

"I prefer queen." She sniffed, while striding past to place the mountain of files on an empty area of desk space. Only then did she turn to drink in the loathsome and disgusting creature that was Shikoba.

Dammit, why did she find him so attractive? Of course, no part of her let on that she thought so, as she crossed her arms and let her gaze sweep over him from head to toe.

"Have you even showered in the last week? And don't tell me you stood out in the rain, because it doesn't count."

Her glance slid back to her paperwork and then back to him again, and she let out a sigh. "I've fallen behind, and the stuff I had finished I had foolishly left on my desk, so when the storm broke the window in my office, it was destroyed, so I get to start over." She sounded oh so impressed with this, of course, but while on the topic of her own hurricane stricken office, took the time to look around his, pushing herself away from the desk to approach his window, before turning.

"....I never really noticed before, but is your office bigger than mine?? What the actual ********>."

"Oh for the...." She sighed, and rolled her eyes, wondering why she even bothered with him. "Yes, of course I have. They give me a bar a day, for some ******** reason. Maybe they've noticed how much time I spend in your filthy company."

The more she spoke, the more her tone softened into one more of amusement, with far less bite. The words were unfriendly on the surface, but beneath it all, she knew, and he likely knew, that she didn't mean it.

Well, most of it. Some things were still true no matter how they were said.

It was his ridiculous statement combined with a grin that finally drew a more genuine smile from her, and she let out a laugh, her cold exterior melting away.

"How charming." She shook her head while she smiled, "And even almost tempting. Later, perhaps?" She stepped towards him, a hand raising to rest against his bare chest, her eyes fixated on his one.

"If you don't manage to get yourself killed."

It was as much of a yes he was going to get. To both offers.

"I've got time." She said, and drew her hand away, turning on a heel to make her way out, assuming that he'd be hot on her heels behind her.
