((The following is an RP done via Slack between Nilah44 and Aukai Oceansoul. Posts will be labeled with which character it belongs to.)) Aukai Oceansoul I finally finished pulling it over! Yay!!! Varinia post 1 The oban girl had a spring in her step as she walked familiar roads. Instead of meeting the guys somewhere in the city, she was going to their place to see them! It had been some time since they'd done that, or even just had time for the three of them. Lately it'd been either her and Reillan or keelthy, not both. So needless to say she was excited for all of them to be able to spend time together like old times. She opened the door without knocking, as she would normally do. "REIL!!! ELTHY!! Where ya at?" She wandered a few of the halls to try and figure out where they could be hiding. "GUYS come on." Maybe in the dining room, she knew those boys had big appetites!

Reillan Post 1
Reill looked up from his book, taking his reading spectacles off and hiding them in a pocket, almost no one knew he had them and he preferred to keep it that way. He stood to go and find Vari. Interesting that she come calling here, he wondered what she wanted. He made his way down the hall to the dining area and saw Fleade there eating while Keelthy waited on her. They were so cute together. He had kept her mistake from his brother, knowing that it would do Keel no good. Besides Reillan wasn't about to go there, he had his eyes set on a different woman. A woman who was in the house now, broadcasting her not in-formidable presence.

Ethelfleade post 1
It was lunch time and since Ethelfleade had grown accustomed to living with the brothers she had taken to eating lunch with Keelthy in the dining room. He was such a sweet heart and made lunch for her today. Smiling at him, she grabbed his hand and held it while she took a spoonful of soup. "Mmmm!!" It was then that she heard another feminine voice calling through the hallways. Her brow furrowed. She didn't know if anyone was expecting anybody, Fleade stood and peeked around the corner after Reil. Did he have a girlfriend? They had only really talked about traveling so she didn't know. "Keel? Reil?" She questioned.
The brothers, she knew, kept all kinds of friends, but from what she saw down the hallway was oban skin and hair which made her take a step back. She raised an eyebrow at Keel before rejoining him at the table. There was no telling how other Obans would take her. Her eyes located her swords leaning against the window seal just in case.

Keelthy post 1
Keel had heard Vari, the only one he knew to use Elthy as a nickname for him. He didn't know how he felt having both woman in the same room, but it was too late now. Past love and new crush well, life was always rather complicated was it not. He had made Fleade some Oban celebration food for her to try, his Mother had taught him so it was alright, not as good as hers though. But her holding his hand in appreciation made the oven burns more than worth it. "Fleade this is Varinia a mutual friend."

Varinia's eyes lit up as she saw Reillan at the end of hall. "Reil!!" She said with a smile. That was when she heard the other voice that was most definitely not Elthy. "Who's that?" She whispered to Reil as she got close enough and wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug before dragging him to the dining room with her to great Elthy.
Once she entered and Elthy answered her question, it didn't take long for Vari to notice the other woman. She froze. Her eyes narrowed and her muscles tightened. Vari pulled the short spear from her back quickly and strode purposefully towards Ethelfleade. "YOU!!" She shouted at the ice woman, anger and hatred filling her voice.

Reillan Post 2
Reillan smiled as Vari dragged him further into the house. "That is our newest charge Fleade, you could say that Keelthy adopted her." He rumbled out in explanation. He moved fast then to catch the back of Vari's shirt, while his brother moved into the firing line putting his own chest between the spear point and his precious iceling. "Hold up there champ. She's not for eating." He had to really pull to get the spear out of her hands then he held it as high as he could away from Var. "Hang on, hang on, what is going on?"

Everything seemed to happen so fast: Reil and an oban girl walked in looking very couple-y and then the girl was shouting at her and matching towards her with a spear. The boys acted quickly with reil taking the oban woman and Keel stepping in front of her. I'm her shock, she was a fraction behind as her left hand grabbed a sword while keeping her right which was still fairly weak behind Keelthy. Fleade stood at Keelthy's side, their bodies forming a 'T' as she protected her weaker side and him as much as she could. Her own eyes narrowed as she sized up the oban. She was shorter for her race, but had muscle to her, it would be a difficult fight with only half her weapons.
She couldn't say exactly where this one would have known her from. It was safe to assume she'd insulted her somewhere since the woman looked familiar but Fleade couldn't place where she'd seen her. Nervously, she looked around for exits. She wasn't that familiar with the house yet and mentally cursed herself. "Keel...." Fleade said, her voice low and dangerous. If this woman wanted to come at her she would fight for herself and Keelthy.

"She won't get to you Fleade, just give her a minute." Vari would come to her senses he was sure, she would not harm his guest. Even if she tried Reill and himself would step in and sit on her if they had to. Fleade was to be protected at all costs, on his honor and on his heart. She was so brave too, sword in hand ready for the onslaught. He was proud but also disturbed that Vari would pose a threat. "What is it Varinia," he said, using Vari's full name in the hope of getting an answer out of her before she managed to wrestle her spear back from the thankfully much taller Reill.

The brothers' actions only made her more furious, ESPECIALLY when Reil stopped her and Keelthy stepped in front of the monster. Varinia gave both of them a dirty look as she smacked Reil's hand away but stayed at his side. "The two of you wouldn't know but this /woman/ held a knife to Naevius' throat and threatened to kill her. SHE'S the one who took Nae captive when all Naevius was trying to do was give them some extra food and supplies. I can't believe you've allowed her in your home." Varinia put a hand to Reil's, very toned, stomach and grabbed her spear from him. The other was armed so she should as well. Regardless of what the brothers thought. They might be under her spell but she knew better. "Elthy please get away from her before history repeats itself."

Reill stood somewhat shocked, Fleade had threatened the Princess, now this put his families honor at stake but she was also a guest of the house...no one had this in the rule book he was sure. Maybe living in the moment was the best thing? He wondered how Vari managed to get her spear back, she was so talented, which scared him for Fleade, there was no doubt that Keel and Fleade had feelings for each other, which put him as the big brother in possibly the worst conundrum ever. This would need much prayer when this was over. He watched Var, waiting for the opportune moment..something she might never forgive him for.

While the boys' defense of her was sweet, it was definitely new to Fleade, to have people other than family that wanted to protect her. She felt butterflies in her stomach again stinking about both of the brothers. When the oban woman said how she knew her, Fleade's chin dropped noticeably as did her weapon.
The ice woman stepped out from behind Keelthy. "I did. And...I'm sorry. You were there. You saw the conditions they were keeping us in. The pregnant woman wasn't doing well. I did what I had to do. I'm sorry it was your friend. I'm sorry she was that important of a person. But it caused action. It was because of her, and they wanted her release that the war ended, right? And you have a better king...I...have almost regretted my decision and I wish I could apologize to the poor girl. But I did what I had to do." If the girl wanted to take her revenge for it, so be it.

Keelthy Post 3
There had been no going back for Keelthy since Fleade had hugged him around the waist in his room. What had happened was in the past and he was not about to let Vari skewer her now. Keel stood tense while Fleade explained herself, it was a wartime measure, that it was now the princess of their land made little difference if Nae was unharmed. Not only that Fleade had just apologized...if it had been anyone else this would have been a harder problem but as it was, it was Fleade.
"What has happened has happened, none of us are worse the wear for those past actions, Nae is happy, we are happy, ect." Fleade looked like she was giving up, but with how angry Vari was and how much he knew about her protective streak, Keelthy was still rather worried.

Nobody understood. Not even the woman herself who tried to apologize but it wasn't Varinia who needed the apology, but there would be no way Varinia would put her in that kind of danger again. "And how many years has it been since the war? You wouldn't know how long it took her to get over the nightmares. How long it took her to hire anybody from Tendaji. No. Nobody except me knows that since I was the one there with her. Happy? It took many years to get that way." In all her frustration, she threw her spear on the floor and it clattered loud enough to wake the dead. "You're letting a snake live in your house!!!" She yelled at them as she pushed past them, punching the door on her way to Reil's room.

Reillan Post 4
Reill waggled his eyebrows at his younger brother, they were twins and so of course that was all that was needed. "Varinia, wait!" he said coyly before marching up after his spicey woman. He didn't think Fleade was a snake but disagreeing with her made him feel kind of like a lizard so the concepts were relatable.
Reill placed the spear on a rack, it was no good to have a weapon like that on the floor, it was just asking for someone to step on it. Whether they had been foolish for taking an iceling in no questions asked or not, the fact was that those that knew her had gotten kind of attached to Fleade, himself included.
He could no more toss her out on her but than he would himself now. Making it to his room he closed the door. "Var," he rumbled at her. He was not sure what to say yet as he was sure any words from him would just set her off again, of course his alternative plan might do it too. He enfolded her in his arms.

She let the other shout at her, muscles tight and ready to make a run for it in a moments notice. Thankfully, the boys seemed to do enough to calm her down that instead of doing what Fleade thought she would do. As soon as the oban left the room, she sank down into the chair she had been in before, her hands visibly shaking so she placed them palm down on the table and placed her forehead between them. Her breath was uneven as she tried to calm herself and keep the tears from threatening to fall. "I'm sorry, Keelthy. It's...not something I've ever told anyone. I...should have told you. You and Reil deserve to know. I'm so so sorry..."
