[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 8 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

This honestly seemed like a fairly easy, if a bit tedious, assignment. Za'riah could definitely keep track of and inventory items. This would just take a bit of time.
He glanced over the eight boxes, looking for anything that obviously said Cavalry. Perhaps unfortunately for him, there was only one box that said so. He snorted, marking it down on the paper with an "X" as instructed, before glancing over to the so-called boobs and barking a, "Put this over there!"
Alright, so he was down to seven actual boxes. It was time to inventory them as she had instructed.

The first box claimed it had one complete silver dinner set, but he knew better than to trust it. As directed, he went ahead and opened the box, glancing through the list of contents and making sure everything he expected to be there was there.
Unfortunately, it wasn't. Scrunching his nose, Za'riah wrote down that the box was missing two spoons.

After glancing over the next set of boxes, it became obvious that he had gotten shipped three different grandfather clocks. He pulled all three aside and decided to go ahead and inspect them all at once, considering they were all the same item.
With his clipboard and pen handy, he went ahead and opened the first box. From the back it looked alright, but it was obvious that from the front, the glass had been broken. That definitely wasn't right. Disapprovingly, Za'riah marked down that this grandfather clock was broken.
He moved on to the second of the three grandfather clocks, hoping that this one would have a different result. Once again, the back looked fine, but the front had a similar cracking in the glass, exposing the pendulum of the grandfather clock to the environment. That wasn't good, either. Whoever was operating these trucks was terrible.
Za'riah was just vindicated in his conclusion when the third grandfather clock also had broken glass. Hopefully there were some people in this shop who enjoyed repairing broken glass.

This box was supposed to have three tapestries.
Supposed was the operative word there, considering that for some reason, there only seemed to be two tapestries. He went through the box several times and even pulled at the tapestries gently, making sure that two tapestries had not been somehow stuck together, but nothing he did turned up more tapestries.
Who packaged these?

Finally, he was left with two more silver dining sets. Hopefully these two were actually complete.
He was sorely disappointed to find that of course, they were not complete. Why would they be? The first of the two boxes had down that it was supposed to have some sort of silver dining platter, but even unwrapping everything that was in the box did not turn up any platter of the sort. He spent some time delicately putting everything back away, eating up more time than he would have expected from an inventory job.
The second box was, somehow, also missing spoons like the first dining set he had looked at. He marked it and turned in the inspection sheet.
