The overwhelming fire in her belly hadn't faded, not even a bit. The mere thought of that lioness caused an ache and craving for violence. Sabia`deimos hadn't felt an ache that bad since she'd last seen her Father and again when she'd discovered that a lioness and her twin had taken a lion she once cared about from her. Typically she brushed it off, but today she decided to do something about it.

Today she sought out the paler lioness. Proof would be in her actions, not her words - that was what Sabia was determined to discover. The way she had stood against her, stated she'd act defiantly, they were all things Sabia herself would have done. In a logical moment she would have stopped and saw the irony, but instead she was fueled by the words.

"Where did you see her last?" Sure, it was likely perhaps half a day since she'd last seen Azadi. The question was still valid. Fortunately a Reaver that had taken over her post when she decided to leave for a breather had bore witness to the lioness' location.

There she was.

Sabia`deimos spotted the lioness not far from where they had spoke. The need to fight was driving her, but she understood why a challenge wasn't likely requested immediately following their small spat - fighting with that kind of anger wouldn't have lead to a two lionesses leaving that fight. Of course everyday was a 'Good day to die' Sabia wasn't about to be slain by some wanna be.

"Azadi."

She demanded the attention of her companion coldly. "Do you want to try and back up your words? Prove to me that you wouldn't be better off as a Thrall?" The lioness nearly spat as she spoke the word in disgust. Not all Thralls were treated poorly, but if it came down to it she'd make a point of making the lioness' life a living hell if she couldn't prove useful.

Azadi on the other hand had all but forgotten the encounter with the crimson lioness. At first she was livid after their little conversation, and in the heat of the moment highly tempted to go back and show her exactly what she planned to do to anyone who would dare try to force her back into slavery again. Not to mention challenge her just for the sheer amount of disappointment she felt having her high expectations of the Reaver shattered.

Alas, as fate would have it she had been called back to one of the forward camps before the opportunity could come up.

Her job and her duty towered over settling a silly little personal vendetta she had for a certain lioness.

However after her job was done and she was once again on 'shore duty' she had decided to saunter her way back to further explore the new culture that she had engulfed herself in. The fight, and in return Sabia herself, was pushed far back into a corner of her mind in favor of taking in the sights.

'Azadi'

Stopping dead in her tracks her fluffy ears swiveled back to press firmly against her head. Sabia. ********. Deimos.

"Sabia." She responded cooly as she slowly turned to face her. Cocking an eyebrow her pale eyes scanned the Reaver's form before she popped her lips, her hips leaning to one side as she regarded her with a mild interest. "Now have you honestly been stewing over little olde me all this time? I'm flattered, really." She teased with a impish grin. She honestly couldn't believe her eyes! After all this time she still was so upset about a little spat that she was willing to seek her out?

Screw being a salt wife, Sabia could take the title of salt queen.

Her smile quickly dropped at the harsh implication. Aw hell no, she did not just go there. Stepping forward Azadi's lip curled into a snarl. "Anytime, any place." Was all that she replied. Nothing more needed to be said between the two, she figured. Already the challenge had been laid out, insults and jabs would only waste energy and breath.

Sabia`deimos stood her ground firmly and let the taunt roll off of her - was that the best this lioness had to offer. Even through her rage she could control the desire to attack on command of a taunt. She did allow her claws to dig into the dirt a little, relieve some of the tension.

"Don't worry your pretty little head. You'd think this was about you, but truth is, I've got Daddy issues."

The crimson lioness gave a chuckle. It was a forced bit of laughter to follow such a dry statement. With very little visible movement she stiffened her limbs a touch to stretch them - she was determined to cut this lioness down and show her what a reaver could do.

Laughter soon became a wicked grin.

"Oh, did I hurt your feelings?" Her golden eyes were narrowed beneath the mask. "Your poor poor feelings." Enjoying herself would have been one way to describe the emotions coursing through her. Once she'd found that sweet spot there was no way she'd let it go, not now and in her mind, not ever.

Those were her final words.

Silence grew between them, a cold and calculated understanding of what was to come next. There was a challenge needed to enter the prides borders and there would be a challenge. Part of Sabia, a part she had tried to silence, hoped the lioness could beat her - beyond the sudden outburst the crimson lioness had grown fond of her. Of course none of that would be admitted out loud.

Usually a tactical lioness, at least with her Captain kills, this fight would be a brawl. Lowering herself slightly allowed for a moment to loosen her limbs which had been previously stiffened. A quick last thought before pursuing battle was to remove her pelt. The removal revealed a number of old wounds on what was perhaps a pretty pelt once upon a time. She'd seen her fair share of battles and it showed. In a swift movement she decided to remove her mask and bangles as well. "Just you and me." She stated plainly. The only part of her body that wasn't damaged by a scar of some kind was her face - which she clearly would have protected with the mask in most cases.

Daddy issues, huh? Well she couldn't really say she could relate on that front given she never knew her own father to begin with. Still, a small part of her was glad that this sudden anger wasn't based entirely on her shoulders, she was just dealing with the aftermath of a much larger problem. Despite all of the bad blood between them currently Azadi did rather like the lioness. She could in a way respect that she was standing up against her, just as she hoped Sabia could respect her standing up for her views.

It would come down to a brawl to settle things but truth be told? Azadi wouldn't have it any other way.

"Why don't you shut that pretty mouth of yours and turn your words into actions?" She growled back. Mimicking Sabia's own movements she grabbed onto her cape, tugging it over her head before tossing it off to the side. With it removed it did reveal one of the main reasons she choose to wear the dark pelt, aside from a reminder to always be on her toes, was to hide the number of deep scars that covered her back. Evidence that as her time as a slave she hadn't been submissive even then, she rebelled with every tooth and nail until her escape and would forever bear the marks of punishment on her skin.

The sudden removal of Sabia's gruesome mask did give her reason to pause. Even without being associated with the vikings for long she had heard the whispers and speculation on what lay beneath the Captain killer's mask. Some wild theories even went so far to say she was horribly disfigured under there! Ha! It was amusing to know now that almost all of them had gotten it wrong.

A amused smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as she lowered herself to the ground. Her claws dug into the ground, expelling some of the adrenaline fueled energy she had coursing through her at the moment. "Let's do this."

That was the only warning Sabia got before Azadi bolted forward. Her intention wasn't to cut quite yet - evident by the fact she didn't even have her claws out - but more just throw off the other lioness from her game by hopefully knocking her to the ground with her body weight.

Who said fun couldn't involve harming your friends?

Respect. This was something that Sabia could admit to having for the lioness she about to face. There was always a possibility that an opponent could run, flee for a chance at survival. To stay was an ultimate sign of confidence, strength, and perhaps at some level for certain lions, stupidity. She was sure that this was not ‘stupidity’ though. There was an air of strength radiating from her pale opponent.

Instead of responding she retorted with silence and a wicked grin. Sabias golden eyes set upon the back of her opponent and noted the number of scars. It certainly explained a thing or two. Submissive wouldn’t be in this lioness’s nature and so she should expect a fight, a good one at that.

The mask removal was a sign of the respect she felt for the lioness. It was a rare treat.

Sabia`deimos nodded firmly at the suggestion of beginning their brawl. The first thing she expected from her opponent was something she got quite quickly. The pale lioness had denoted her first move to throwing around body. The move was quick, the agility was impressive, but Sabia narrowed her eyes and stood strong. She wasn’t going to throw herself out of harms way because harms way was precisely where she wanted to be. Though she stood steady her body was pushed backward with the force from the lioness.

She felt proud to know she hadn’t mistaken the strength.

Once the impact occurred she didn’t even hesitate to bring her arms up to wrap around the neck of the lioness. Claws hadn’t been extended yet either. She wanted to see the strength first, pain would come in time. Anger fueled her at this point and she tightened her grip around the lioness before attempting to drag her to the ground with her.

Brawling with love.

Much like Sabia felt when she rushed forward Azadi had a surge of unexpected pride course through her when Sabia stood her ground. To have a foe boldly stare down unyielding in the face of an attack? Well, certainly it was something to be praised.

She was glad that the rumors and her first impressions of Sabia being a true warrior were being proven correct.

Her lips curled into a slight snarl at the weight of Sabia's arms tightly wrapping around her neck. Her first intentions were to bring Sabia to the ground, sure, but the idea was that the red lioness would be bearing the brunt of impact instead of her!

Slamming onto the ground with a thud Azadi wasted no time counter-acting the vice grip that the viking had around her. Wiggling one of her paws up from their entanglement of bodies she shoved it against Sabia's throat, using what body weight she could to apply pressure down on the red lioness' windpipe. There were no claws, she had no intention of causing extreme harm or even killing her, but she did have to get her off, and fast!

The rush. The pressure.

Adrenaline coursed through the lioness' body like blood itself. Pulsing briefly at various points where she had connected with Azadi. Though their connection had happened in seconds it felt as though the motions were happening slowly. Sabia wanted to close her eyes and drink in the feelings of power, but instead chose to stare at her opponent in a nearly unblinking fashion. What was she to look away?

The thud of impact to the ground took her breath away briefly and as she tried to catch that breath back she was startled, in a good way, by a sudden paw at her throat. Her eyes widened and a grin broke across her maw as she felt the tickle of toes dance across the fur over her open throat. When they came crashing upon her she gasped - pleased by the sensation. Her eyes finally snapped shut, but the wicked grin did not leave her face. She took a moments pause to asses the strength of her opponents grasp and decided it was likely enough to cause her some harm and so she'd have to free herself from the grasp.

In a moment.

She chose to rise to her name. Sabia`deimos had a knack for insanity and though she'd never speak out about it herself she wouldn't deny any ideas or concepts leaked by others. Her love of torture and the dark arts in fighting were no secret and a moment like this was something she treasured. The throws of a battle and literally feeling the power of another against her.

Finally, when she knew her chances of winning were in jeopardy she threw herself backwards, using the grey lioness as a sort of springboard in a way. Enough to show her weight in the situation - not that she hadn't already. The battle wouldn't be won on the ground anyway. Once up she bounced backwards and stole the moment to asses where the battle was headed.

This fight felt so different, so raw, so powerful yet...controlled. It was almost alien to Azadi! She had been in more fights throughout her life than she could possibly count - hell she couldn't even remember them all by this point! Between brawls for sport with other slaves for the entertainment of their masters, to fights over food, to struggles just to escape a worse punishment than what was trying to be inflicted.

But for the first time in the long time she felt nervous in a fight, not for her own life but anxiety out of her own performance. She was fighting one of the best that the Stormborn had to offer and she why she was proud of her rival there was a underlining fear of disappointing her there at the same time.

She had to win this, there was just no other choice.

A hacking coughing fit left Azadi on the floor helpless for a few seconds, the full weight of Sabia suddenly using her body as a jumping off point had violently ripped the very breath out of her lungs. Gasping in air she scrambled to rise back to her feet stepping back from the red lioness to steal herself a moment to recover properly. Damn if her chest wasn't going to be sore tomorrow!

With her breath finally back to a reasonable pace Azadi's ears flattened against her head as she regarded Sabia with a scowl. She had to admit that she was surprised the larger lioness didn't take her weak moment as a oppertinaity to strike at that moment, no, it seemed that she wanted to drag this out as long as she could. Heh, perhaps the rumors of her liking the rush of pain inflicted were true after all?

Well, if that's what she wanted then who was she to deny her?

"If we're just going to stand around making goo-goo eyes at each other can we at least eat, or can we get back to kicking each other's asses?" Azadi taunted with a grin, her tail swishing aggressively behind her. Sabia had allowed her the first attack, now it was time to return the favor. She had to admit that she was rather curious to see how the lioness would push the battle forward in her own way.
