The theater district was an interesting place, Itsuki came to find.
Heavy foot-traffic kept him from wandering the streets, so the liliac-point took to the rooftops and awnings to keep from being squished by passers-by. Clubs and stage-play theaters were huge draws at night, it seemed, with critics and fans alike lining up to see the latest performances or to take advantage of the two-for-one cover on Saturday nights.
He could only keep himself occupied with reading for so long. Itsuki came down with a severe case of cabin fever and abandoned the Mauvian Headquarters to wander. At least here there was plenty to see and experience - music, loud crowds, pleasant weather... It brought a smile to his feline face. So far, he'd managed to stay away from any Chaos agents, disappearing into the nooks and crannies of the city should a dark aura appear on his mental horizon.
Gingerly, Itsuki made his way across the top of a rather popular movie theater, squinting at the bright lights of the marquee advertising the latest summer release. From the name, Itsuki guessed it was a romantic comedy. While pondering the plot of the movie he'd never seen, Itsuki happened to catch a glance of another cat - a fellow Mauvian, he thought! The other cat wore a visor of some sort... they simply had to be a fellow Mauvian! He eagerly approached the other cat and introduced himself.
"Kobanwa, Visor-san! Watashi wa Itsuki, desu! Are you enjoying the night life, too? I'm new around here, and you're the first Mauvian I've met! Hello~!"

Ooooh she could smell the butter and salt from here!
Ash felt the glands in her mouth working, filling her jowls with saliva in sweet anticipation. Maybe, after Colin was done performing, they could get some popcorn on the way home. Maybe, if he wasn’t too tired, she could get him to sneak her in to see Wonder Woman for the fifth time… maybe get some Reese’s pieces thrown in as a bonus.
The theater district wasn’t somewhere the Burmilla would have been inclined to be, if it didn’t so happen that no less than two of her senshi were dancers. Beautiful, graceful people who put their hearts into their performances, to please the audiences that attended their shows to escape harsh reality of life in DC for a little while. She was so proud of them… and it meant here she was, people watching while waiting for Colin, also known by Aegir in different clothes, to finish up.
She almost didn’t catch the feel of a signature when someone called out for her and she jerked to her paws, her spine arching upwards as small, pointed ears lay back. It was lucky for the stranger that she did, once her eyes fell on him, and the stiffness eased slowly to be replaced with annoyance.
“I hope you realize its rude to sneak up on someone like that.” She said primly. The tip of her striped tail flicked, curling back and forth as she tucked her behind and sat back down. It was a good pose to pull all her majesty around her to cover up for her startle and Ash sighted down her nose at the interloper. “Hmm… you must be new, I’ve never seen you before. Are you recently from Japan, or do you just like to talk as though you are?”
Despite the… cattyness of her words, her tone had come down some, easing into something a little less confrontational. She hadn’t quite decided if she wanted to humor him by responding in kind or not… Her luck with mauvians, especially male mauvians, was split pretty evenly between tolerable and terrible.

"Ahh! Sumimasen, Visor-san!" Itsuki was just as startled as he apparently made the poor Burmilla, and the lilac-point went about prostrating himself before her. Placing two fluffy paws before him, he lowered his head onto them as a form of a bow. "Ah, I didn't mean to startle you! Please accept my apologies!" Her question was an astute one, and it caused Itsuki to fluff in embarrassment as a response. "Ano... no, I'm not from Japan. At least, I don't think so? I was raised by a wonderful girl named Ayako, and her family. Have you seen the restaurant, The Golden Crane? Ayako-chan and her family ran the restaurant... ah, that is, until the Negaverse attacked it... She is okay though!" With a confident nod, a sense of vivaciousness returned to the cat. His fluffy tail swished back and forth, proud of his ability to remember things in a sequence now that he'd been awakened to consciousness. "That was ah... a few days ago. So, hai, I'm very new!" Another point of embarrassment but, unlike startling his seniors, Itsuki couldn't help when he awakened. "Ah, Visor-san, you sound wise. Do you... Could you..." Itsuki stood onto all four legs, tail swishing like a dog's, eyes aglow with possibility. "...do you think you could teach me a few things? Ah... Visor-sensei? I've been through the main computer... ah, mostly. It's all overwhelming and instinct is helpful but... I've never met another Mauvian before! I want to find my senshi someday..." emotion_kirakira

Days? Oh goodness.
Ash's eyes widened as she considered the young male before her, in all his squirming embarrassment. Days... Yes, he was very new, if he'd only been awake that long. It brought a new consideration to her gaze as she looked him over.
The japanese... isms were not so surprising, if he'd had a japanese family. At least she understood a good bit of it when he wandered, though her own experience with the language came from a much less... prestigious source in anime and internet based language courses. But he didn't need to know that and she wasn't inclined to tell him.
The Burmilla sniffed as her tail curled lazily. He seemed so... excited to see her and despite herself, Ash was flattered. Which, also despite herself, meant she wasn't entirely displeased by him any more. At least he had good taste and the luck to run into her rather than someone like... Faust. Good heavens, no. He would have had the poor thing swearing like a sailor and... peeing on things.
"Its good you found HQ and the computers... there is a lot of useful information there, but I suppose it doesn't account for everything." She said as her head tilted to the side. She had to resist the urge to preen, though she did sit up straighter. "It would be terribly neglectful of me to let you run off as uninformed as you are... so I guess I can help you with a few things."
"My name is Ash, also. Not 'Visor'. You can call me that, or... the Silver Lady. I answer to both. You said your name was... Itsuki?" She said, combing through her memory to catch his introduction. "Its nice to meet you. I suppose you probably have a lot of questions... That's probably an okay place to start."

Whimsical Blue -denka is a suffix for non-sovereign royalty, like "your Highness". In case you were wondering/didn't know! Itsuki's little eyes turned to stars at the thought of being a protege to one prestigious Mauvian such as Ash. He was now kohai to Ash's senpai. Whiskers a-twitching with excitement, Itsuki nodded with enthusiasm when Ash remembered his name. " Hai, Ash-denka. It's a pleasure to meet you, too. I was reading in the computers about Chaos and the Negaverse but... there's no substitute for experience. I've only felt Negaverse agents at a distance but haven't seen one up close... ugu... not that I particularly want to..." The cat's ears drooped visibly. It looked as though Itsuki was fighting with himself, torn between self-preservation and duty. "Ash-denka, what would you say to focus on? What can I do, when I'm so new? Maybe I shadow you for a few days, something like that? Learn from the best, you know?" Fluffy tail swishing again, Itsuki's eyes lit up. The possibility of learning something from Ash was exciting, and her wisdom might make him a better Guardian for it. "Ash-denka, do you have any senshi yourself? I was reading that some of us have our own senshi, someone we guided. And... should I patrol? I feel so terribly useless..."

Focus on? The amount of things one needed to know to really be a good resource for Senshi was... maybe a bit wide of a pool. As she cast about for where to even start, the idea of him shadowing her made her hesitate and Ash cast a shifty glance around them before she shook it off and straightened up.
Playing video games on her computer, watching Star Trek with Colin and playing dress up with Nadia was not exactly useful things for a new cat. She was a wealth of knowledge to be shared, but maybe not a shining physical example of what to do.
"I suppose I could introduce you to a few people, at least, and show you around... but I don't think I really have the... time to have you follow me everywhere. A lot can be learned from doing, but we do need to make sure you know enough not to get yourself hurt." She mused. The tip of her tail curled in thought, but he offered a fairly decent place to start.
"You said you can feel them at a distance? So you know how to sense signatures. That's a good thing. When we're in our little forms, its hard to sense our signatures from very far away, so I would say to make use of that, and if you feel someone coming, you take off in the other direction. I'd also say to stay near more populated places, if you can, or places with lots of hiding spots. Sometimes youma roam loose and its not fun to be caught out by one with no where to escape to. Just being aware will go a long way towards keeping you safe... And do you have a communicator yet?" One of her paws patted at the side of the visor she wore. "Those are also important, to keep in contact with people who can help keep you safe. You can also access the HQ computers with it, which is helpful."
"I have a good collection of senshi myself, I will say." The silver cat said as she straightened up, radiating a smug pride. "I've awakened thirteen senshi so far, and sort of adopted another few. If you want to be useful, that's not a bad task to set yourself. We could always use more soldiers for Order and Good. I think though that one of our greatest uses is in gathering and sharing information. Our senshi don't seen to group up as much as I could like and too often I find ones who don't know as much as they should about being a senshi or fighting the Negaverse. They can't be truly effective Senshi, I think, if they're not informed."

Itsuki's eyes were wide as dinner plates, attempting to take in all that Ash had to offer in terms of information. She was regal for certain, a royal air about her mannerisms. The new cat could do little but hope to be half as knowledgeable as she. Clapping his tiny paws together in applause for Ash, Itsuki beamed up at the Silver Lady. "Uwah~ I'd love to meet more people! Having more friends, that's important to me! And ahh... experience, of course. You are right, Ash-denka - we have to be prepared!" The lilac-point tilted his head and nodded as Ash explained how to keep oneself safe. Indeed, being small lent to many methods of escape if one was paying attention. Itsuki wholeheartedly agreed. "Ah, Ash-denka? What do you mean. little form? I know there's a lot of information I haven't read yet at Headquarters but... I don't remember seeing anything about little form! And ahh... no, I don't have a sugoi visor like you do, Ash-denka. Where do we get a super cool visor??" Itsuki imagined his own visor would be lilac in color and covered in sakura petals. That sounded lovely! " Ju san!? Thirteen? That's so many, Ash-denka! You're amazing!!" Another round of toe-bean applause would greet Ash's silvery ears. Perhaps someday he could be as impressive as the Silver Lady. Indeed, she was an excellent example of what to aspire to. "I understand you are a very busy lady, Ash-denka. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me~!"

He was a rapt audience, certainly, and the amazement he radiated was delicious. Not everyone found things as amazing as they truly were, in Ash's opinion. It was nice once in a while to receive what she felt was her due.
It was only through will the silver cat didn't start preening herself. She did, however, look entirely too pleased with herself as he clapped.
"Well!" She said as she sat up straight, chest puffing just a little. "I've been at this for a while now, you know. I'm sure you can get there too, if you work at it. Now, by little form I mean, this one we're in now, you see?"
She waved a soft paw at him as she spoke, her tail swaying behind her in all its silky feline beauty.
"But if you're new, I suppose you might not know yet that Mauvian's have another form we can access, with time and growth. Here, watch." She said as she bounced to her paws and spun away from him, giving them some room. She twirled again when she reached the spot she wanted, turning smoothly on a paw before her form exploded in sparkles and suddenly shot upwards. The blue glitter faded to reveal a young woman in place of where the cat had been, a soft, transparent cape and long lengths of blue hair settling around her ankles. She touched a finger to her cheek and winked before she disappeared in another shower of sparkles and Ash was herself again. And looking entirely smug.
"There is also a third form we can reach, but that requires finding a particular bit of asteroid... but well worth it, if you can hunt one down. I'm of a mind that the bipedal form we can take is our true form, but its unfortunate that it comes with a power signature so large its dangerous to remain in it for long." She sighed softly, looking wistful. "I'd like to wear it more often, truthfully."

The sound that escaped Itsuki was something between a gasp and an incredible, overwhelmed screech. The little cat had never seen something so amazing, so fantastic, so utterly sugoi! Her beautiful blue hair was definitely something to consider, contrasting with her pale skin and body suit. Even though the display was short-lived, it was more than enough to make a distinct impression. "Utsukushiku!!!!!" came a final reaction, the cat clapping furiously in approval. The awe washing over the feline almost silenced him, eyes wide in wonder and amazement. Truly, he had not seen anything like that. Itsuki hadn't reached those files in the Headquarters computer and felt quite blessed that Ash-denka found it in herself to show off such a lovely form! "Ash-denka, you're amazing! Do you think I could reach a human form someday? Ash-denka, maybe your amazingness and knowledge could rub off on me??" Without so much as a second thought, the lilac-point began to rub himself on The Silver Lady quite lovingly. "You're just the best, Ash-denka! It's so good that I met you! I can learn so much from you~!"

His reaction, as everything else from him today, was everything she could have wanted and more. He was astounded by her little trick, and it was actually just a little surprising, though she had expected it to be a showy thing. She'd been able to take human form for so long she almost forgot what it was like to not be able to. How it felt to not have that ease.
"Of course, Darling!" She said, unable to stop herself from preening this time. She was almost embarrassed now by his gushing, enough that she allowed the rubbing against her with only a shifting of her weight. She pushed at him, a paw placed lightly to his cheek, and she fluttered. "Goodness, its not something that rubs off. Its something you just... learn to do, when you're ready. Everyone can do it eventually. I assume."
She had certainly seen a few of their more... questionable members reach human form, and Itsuki was certainly not an awful guardian. There was no reason she could see for him not reaching that point, if he worked at it.
"Please, do contain yourself." Ash said, washing her cheeks with her paw to settle herself. The thread of what they'd been talking about, where she had been going with it, slipped away from her and in it's wake she struggled to grasp another.

Whimsical Blue I hope this is an okay place to finish~ I think Itsuki has annoyed Ash enough for one night. XD "Uwaa.... gomen nasai, Ash-denka. I just got so excited to see something like that! I promise, I'll work hard to be able to become human, too!" With that goal in mind and stars in his eyes, Itsuki made mental note to become as magnificent as Ash-denka someday. Someday, he too would inspire younger Guardians to be the best cat they could be. But before he could do such a thing, Itsuki had a great deal of work to do. With the Silver Lady's inspiration, the computer files at Headquarters would receive more thorough study than before. Another round of clapping greeted her ears. "I'm going to go study more! I have so much work to do! Don't worry, Ash-denka, I'll make you proud. I promise!" With that, the lilac-point made to scamper off towards Headquarters, intent on redoubling his efforts to gain as much knowledge as possible. One day, he too would impress Ash-denka with a human form! Someday!

Ash paused in her washing to watch the enthusiastic young cat scamper off, a bit of a bemused expression on her face. But not a displeased one. It was hard not to be flattered, really. Not everyone saw her quiet magnificence, of course, so it was... nice, to have someone acknowledge it. Especially another cat.
It was nice to feel special, truthfully. Like she was doing something right. Like everything she had done up to this point was worthwhile. Had mattered. Inspired someone else.
She wasn't a failure, even though she was tired, and worried, and sometimes more anxious than she liked to admit.
The silver ears perked up as Ash straightened up, making ready herself to head back to Nadia's place. There was a new lightness to her step, and a lift to her tail, that she hadn't had in a while, and it felt good.
