Sachio smiled happily to himself as he changed into his practice clothes for his kung fu class. Although he didn't come too often, considering the schedule he had and the other self-defense classes he took, he still looked forward to coming here at least once a week. Though that that made him a bit more behind than he should be compared to others, but he knew that the pace he was going at was fine and the skill level he was at matched it, therefore he had nothing to worry about if he practiced enough. Though, he didn't know any of his other classmates really. Because he was here so little, he didn't have much in the way of socialization with the rest of them. But that was fine, they were probably just glad they got to see him at least once anyway. No one could miss him! So he didn't talk to others that much as he did want to concentrate on getting better. He sighed though, trying to calm himself down so that he would be more focused. It wouldn't do well for to over-excite himself and he knew he would have to give his all in the class. He steeled himself though, as well as he could and walked into the room for the class, ready to do his best.

"That sounded like quite the heavy sigh," came a voice from behind him, a wide grin on a slightly chubby face. "Don't tell me you aren't excited to learn!" Maybe, just maybe, Dongmei should have not just come up behind him as he moved for the floor. Shouldn't have come across as some weird person but it was a little late for that. Hopefully she hadn't startled him? "Though maybe you aren't? I mean, you're only here every so often right?" She'd seen him a couple of times in class but not often. Heck she saw only a couple of the students regularly as many of them had mixed schedules. She was the only one she knew who was strictly Monday, Wednesday, Friday and that there was only one other student who came all five days. SSBrosB that's not a bad one at all <3 no worries

Sachio jumped a bit, not expecting to be spoken to. He didn't mind it of course, but it was still surprising! He turned around and looked at her, smiling. "Very excited of course! It's just, it's so hard being me sometimes that I get a bit tired..." He replied, holding a hand to his face. It was so hard to be amazing all of the time. "Unfortunately I wish I could come here more often, but my schedule tends to be so busy that I rarely can go more than once. If I could, I would come here as often as possible." He said, looking at her. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he did like talking to others and getting to know them. "I'm Sachio Sugiyama. May I ask what your name is? Do you come here often? I suppose more often than myself so you're probably a little more advanced than myself." He could admit if someone was more skilled than he, but that only meant that he would have to do better himself.

There was a bit of a laugh and a wider grin given to the other. She liked him, even if he did come off as rather full of himself. But then, he was being honest in his thoughts? "Hey, it's tough work to be amazing! Not many people can pull it off." She could though, even if she chose not to brag about it. Hands moving to pile her hair on top of her head, she nodded as she listened. Everyone had their own lives to lead, couldn't fault anyone for that. Heck, even her own live was starting to get a bit more busy with the increase of patronage at the bathhouse. "Pleasure to meet you Sachio~ I'm Dongmei Kai, but you're free to call me Mei if you'd like." Please no jokes about her name. "I'm usually here three days out of the week but my dads are trying to get me to shift to Tuesdays and Thursdays, since I keep insisting on helping them out at work." Honestly she didn't think of herself as all that advanced? She learned quickly that was true, but one of the major points as repetitive motions and proper stance. No one was really more advanced then anyone else unless they moved up in rank. Which, even then, there was always going to be someone better. "You shouldn't sell yourself short, you know. I'm sure you're a lot better then you think you are, and it isn't like it's a race to be better then everyone else. There's no secret ingredient, you know."

Sachio beamed with pride as she praised him a bit. At least some people recognized how awesome he was! This girl clearly had a good head on her shoulders. "Thanks. It is very hard but also very rewarding." After losing his glow, he looked back at her. "It's a pleasure to meet you also Miss Mei." He replied, holding his hand out for a shake. She would be honored with such a gesture. He nodded. "Tuesdays and Thursdays would be good too, though if you're used to exercising so much it might be a bit of a transition. I'm guessing you're pretty busy yourself though, right?" He could only assume since she had said that her dads were trying to change her shifts. Any good parent would allow their children to learn self-defense, but if they had to shorten the amount of time that they concentrated on it, there was probably something else going on that was a bit more important. He smirked at her when she told him not to sell himself short. "Well, we all have to have a little humbleness, even someone as great as me. Though I have noticed that I'm still a bit off when it comes to dodging and my reaction time. It just means I need to practice more. I just assume that those who would be able to practice more often would be a little more advanced than myself. Though there are others that need a lot more practice than what it would usually take..." He was getting a little off topic here. "Anyway, for todays class, would you like to be my sparring partner Mei?"White Trickster Rabbit I know nothing of Kung Fu >_>

Some part of her wondered if it was wrong to feed into his ego but it was fun, if she were honest! Refreshing even, considering her dads and sister were humble. Well... Rantha was less humble and more very hard on herself... A momentary, and thoughtful, frown at the thought of her sister before the movement of his hand caught her eye and the grin was back. Taking his hand to return the gesture for a handshake, she gave just a small shake of her head. "Mei is fine, no need for a miss!" She actually almost blushed at the notion? She wasn't the "miss" type. "Kind of, yea. I have school and practice, then I also help my dads out with the family business! We run a bathhouse and hot spring! But between the three my dads feel like I'm running myself thin? And I can't not help them out, even if they say I don't need to now that we have Melody, but maybe they're right?" She was frowning again, unaware she was babbling a bit at this point. Having finally trailed off and realizing as such, Dongmei laughed and blushed a bit in embarrassment. "Sorry, I didn't mean to unload like that. But I would be glad to pair up with you today!" A conspiratory glance around the class. "I wouldn't assume that those of us here longer are better with dodging and reaction times. Some of them here are actually worse!" SSBrosB lol don't feel bad. most of what I know is from Chinese movies and Kung Fu Panda OTL

If Sacho noticed her mixed feelings about indulging him, he didn't notice. After all, it was natural for people to praise him. He was glad that she shook his hand back. "That's quite a good handshake you have there. Very nice!" He couldn't help but compliment it. "And all right Mei, if that's what you want to go by." He replied, smiling. Of course he himself would love to go by Kami all of the time, but one had to be humble at some point! "Sounds very busy, though it doesn't sound boring at least! And it does sound interesting. Maybe I should go some time? I would love to relax in a hot spring for a bit. And I'm sure your Dad's appreciate your help, though they would understand if you needed a break or something to catch up again. No one would want you to collapse because of exhaustion." He didn't mind her 'babbling', after all, it was one way to get to know another person, unless their babbling was going no where. "You are fine! It's always fascinating meeting other people." After all, it meant that they got to know him also! "And thank you for accepting my request for a sparring partner. And we'll see. We may impress each other with what we can and can't do in class today!"White Trickster Rabbit and finished! Thanks so much!
