Climbung was doable and Vin did like a good wall or dead wall to cling too, but a smooth office wall lacked texture and grip while the massiclve trees of war were very high up. In all the decades, he had yet to climb up on to the top and he wasn't about to try today. It would remain a buclet list for another time. Instead, vsrious rope ladders were available for those with mending wings or none at all.
Making his way up, the thick foilage of the jungle below broke into the vast open are before mking it to the lower branches and lower office rooms of the war administration. It was still peculiar to think of a war gorsemen in their natural setting conducting cimplex office duties though he heard from others how they were fierce in their conference calls and pushed for what they demanded in their terms. He was glad to be in the labs instead.
Upon the top floors, Vin stood looking as Horsemen glided in various plumage and dazzling displays from one perch to another. To them it was just another everyday commute but his eyes caught on glossy patters and bright sheens mingled with vibrant pelts and office wear and felt as if he was in a container of luxious shells and the dazzling wings of home.
It was hard to concentrate as his natiral instinct was to hide or burrow when left in the open to such predators, but he took deep breathes. "We see everything up here but we see nothing strange. This is best vantage point but no one seems bothered by anything. It is amazing to be up but it makes us nervous. Maybe we can check prison cells?"

Rep climbed like a squirrel, even when he wasn't flying, his wings tightly pressed against his hips as he scurried fearlessly up. He didn't use the ladders, as far as he was concerned they were no fun at all, but instead stayed close to Vin, pouncing from one branch to another, ever upwards. His office was up here too, a place where he mostly spent the day playing computer games and waiting for assignments to come along that were challenging enough to be worth doing. He didn't like normal business duties and shirked at all costs. In his heart he just wanted to fight and little else. Thankfully his clan let him do it without too much hindrance, respecting his right to just sulk around and be really strong.
"Bright isn't it?" Rep asked with a big grin. "You know a lot of the ladies are more drab than the males here? I hear its like, opposite in the human world, the females are meant to impress the males. It's kind of backwards, but I guess humans don't have like, our fancy ******** feathers or anything like that." He shrugged.
"You are right though, there's ******** up here out of the ordinary, maybe it's because they are scared of war. I don't even blame them. We are strong and ******** intimidating, we'd ******** up an intruder here." He laughed. "But honestly, don't worry about it man, if you fell I'd catch you in a heartbeat, no hesitation, I've got you covered"
"The prison?" he said cocking his head. "Sure. Let's go there next then, I think they are pretty empty right now though."
