Maebe settled down with a guinea pig, and very carefully administered the gene to its small, furry, innocent little body. Afterwards, she read the label of the drug and made a face. Accelerated Healing? How was it supposed to heal anything if it wasn't necessarily broken?
She supposed she'd have to take the initiative.
Maebe picked the easiest option, reaching out for the edge of its tiny ear and scratching it with a very sharp thumbnail. It left a red mark in its place, and the guinea pig squealed with distress. She figured it was small enough to heal on its own, if the treatment was a failure.
Which it wasn't! The accelerated healing went to work on her scratch almost instantly, turning the red welt pink, and then white, before it disappeared entirely. She wrote the time down and all of her observations, before patting the guinea pigs head with her hand. It tried to bite her fingers off.
And she couldn't really blame it.
