Tanita walked up to the counter she had been assigned to, and got to work. The paper-shuffling side of things wasn't really her specialty, but she'd make it work out somehow. She was sure of it. When the first customer arrived, she managed to process their deposit, and give them their receipt, without any incidents. She managed to continue like this through the next few customers too.

Then came the idiotcustomer who insisted on bringing his coffee with him into the bank. In a cup without a lid. And then proceeded to spill it all over the marble floor right in front of Tanita's counter. She had to call a guard over to make sure no one accidentally slipped in it, and went to get a janitor. She was very relieved to find a man wearing what appeared to be the classic janitorial jumpsuit, and immediately began to explain the situation, and told him "I need you to come mop it up, as soon as possible, so we don't have any problems."

This, of course, was when the now irritated looking man she was speaking to informed her he was a Vice President, thank you very much young lady, and she would do better to use the phone system to contact Building Maintenance. He stalked off, in a visible huff, while Tanita was left staring after him in disbelief. What kind of Vice president would ever wear such tasteless clothing? VPs are supposed to wear suits, and look the part. She turned, her cheeks flaming, to see Mr. Crane standing nearby. She was convinced she was about to be verbally flayed, when she noticed the apparently amused expression on his face. She blinked, twice, then nodded very respectfully before going back to her desk and doing what the VP had suggested. She managed the rest of her shift with only minor incidents, usually having to do with misunderstanding the filing system, that she was able to correct easily enough, and left feeling... maybe she'd done all right, and might still have a chance with the Bank of X.
