 Kimya was a lioness that took to exploring like a fish took to swimming. It was how she had found the Nergui to begin with, since she was exploring all over the rogue lands in order to find a place to belong. She had been so pleased to find somewhere with the hoard and while she was having a tough time fitting completely in, though she suspected that it might be easier once she got the pride's new language down, she was happy to have a pride at all anymore.
She still missed the swamps, of course, but she was more important to the Nergui as a Shuko-a silent assassin-then she could ever have been as a Huntress or a Ghost. That was enough to keep her going and now, having recently met Vsevolod, she was ready to begin a proper life in the Nergui, one with friends to talk to and maybe... maybe she could even find someone who might be interested in... Well, that could wait for another time.
Today had also been an exploring day. She had woken up before the sun and crept out towards the sandy dunes, only to double back and head closer to the way they had come from the rogue lands. She just wanted to establish some sort of border, she wasn't leaving or anything drastic. She just needed some space from the hoard and who knows, maybe she would find a passing rogue to talk to... Or maybe she would find a wary Nergui member that would tell her to explore towards the ruins instead.  Jirru wasn't hard to find, standing out some, as she edged towards a pond along the fringes. She knew a territory was nearby, but she hadn't smelled the line, yet, so she figured she must be okay to grab a drink. She dipped her muzzle to the water and paused, her eyes catching on something off a ways. Her ears tilted forward, as she raised her head from the water again, watching quietly. Had she invaded someone after all? ... There! She stilled, eyes and ears trained to it. the pelt was silver, like her own. Perhaps- Ah. A lioness. So, not family. Also not something to lack caution around. Her carry didn't seem to indicate hunting or aggression, perhaps Jirru hadn't been spotted, yet. She cast a glance to either side of the pond to judge the distance the lioness would have to cover in talks went sour, figuring that she could flee if needs be. "Greetings! I hope your paws find you well today." she called, having spotted no others, either, to have worked up a trap for her.

Kimya walked all through the morning and by the time she had come to the small pond (or was it an oasis? she couldn't tell.) She still felt sand beneath her paws, though not in the quantities of the dunes that lay in the ruins and looking behind her, she saw that her steps left prints in this sand, rather than immediately being brushed away by the wind. Yes, she determined, she would be able to find her way home from this place. She had come far, but not far enough to lose her new pride. What a disaster that would be! And just after she had found such an entertaining friend in Vse!
She had begun to approach the body of water, eager to drink, when a voice called out to her. Perking her ears in surprise at not having scented the source of the voice. Blue eyes searching, she eventually spotted the silver and gold cheetah, crouched on the other side of the the pond, looking rather wary.
"Good day." Kimya replied and approached the water, lowering her head to get a drink. With the body of water nearest to the ruins home to a monstrous crocodile, no one dare near it. Maybe she could report back to her pride about this find, even if it was ages away from the ruins. She drank her fill, gave a relieved sigh and then looked up again at the cheetah. Perhaps she ought to warn this stranger not to go further the way Kimya had come. The Nergui were not friendly to strangers, especially ones that were not lion nor hyena in species. Then again, maybe she should just keep her nose out of it. Eventually, she struck up a conversational tone.
"What brings you all the way out here, stranger?" She inquired.

The cheetah took the lioness' lack of immediate aggression as a sign she wouldn't be attacked, and bent to drink some of the water, herself, eyes ever on the other queen, even as she enjoyed her drink. She raised her head some, as she spoke again, licking her lips as she watched. "Nothing special, just taking a long walk. I smelled water this way and figured a break wouldn't hurt." She glanced behind the other cat and hummed. "I've come near to some clan's land, I take it? I wouldn't wish to intrude, certainly."

Were all cheetahs this paranoid of strangers, or was this cheetah especially so? Well, whatever the case, she was perceptive enough, even with the strange words she spoke in accompaniment with her question. So, Kimya tilted her head to one side.
"Clan? Is that a cheetah word for pride?" She shook her head to clear some of her mane that had fallen into her eyes. "Yes, you are nearing the pride called the Nergui, should you choose to continue that way for an age." She indicated the way she had come with a gesture with her tail and a glance behind her, before her eyes went back to the cheetah. There was a glimmer of concern within them. "Though I do not recommend you go that way unless you have a death wish. The Nergui do not take kindly to those who are not their own. It is a hoard made up of lions, mainly, but hyenas, secondly." She went on. "It is my advise that if you wish to keep your skin on your back and not upon someone else's as a trophy, you will go back the way you came." There, she gave the cheetah some warning.
Perhaps the frightening thing was that she hadn't even exaggerated most of what she said about her pride. There was no need to tell the cheetah that she herself was apart of the Nergui. She was content to have a drinking partner and one who didn't prefer that horribly confusing language the Nergui had developed, either.

The cheetah blinked at her drinking companion and huffed, looking off to the side. She'd been born a rogue, her mother had sung praises of the lifestyle and spoke poorly about prides and clans. There didn't seem much difference between the terms for her, but perhaps clan was a less common term. "It's a word my mother used." She answered simply. "I've no intent to wind up a trophy, so I thank you for the warning." She eyed the lioness for a few moments, letting her tail curl around her hindquarters. "You're either different from the rest of your pride or stupid to be on their land. I'd suggest you take as much care about them, if they're dangerous enough to warn strangers about."

Kimya dipped her head again, politely, as the cheetah thanked her for the warning. This creature across from her was intelligent enough, it seemed. To take her advice and to make such keen observations. However, it was with her brief replies and quietness that Kimya began to feel uneasy herself. Her tail twitched and she was wondering how she would proceed through this suddenly awkward encounter, when the cheetah made a comment upon her own person.
"Watch your tone." The snarl ripped itself from her throat before she could process it and she was standing erect, teeth bared at the other. When had she possessed such a short-temper, a distant part of herself asked. She hadn't been this way before she joined the Nergui, yet now she was getting a near overwhelming desire to chase this cheetah and to do horrible things to her if Kimya caught her.
"I will not have any attitude from a rogue cheetah," Kimya hissed. "Especially one whom has no idea what she speaks of." Kimya wouldn't allow herself to be called different and if the alternative was to be called stupid, then the grey lioness would force an apology out of this silver and gold cheetah even if it were in her last breath.
Such a rage had overtaken her, fueled by the most fierce desire to be apart of the Nergui. She needed to belong there, she had no where else to go. And she would not simply stand by and let this cheetah talk down to her. She was Nergui and she would fight for the name of her pride.

The cheetah perked, but moved slowly, raising her head and shifting to sit and clean one paw. "I only meant, lioness, that you've made no move to trophy my hide, and even offered its current wearer a warning. Somehow, I doubt the rest of a pride eager to wear a stranger would have done so. I appreciate the difference." The cheetah watched her once-companion for a moment, before giving a bow of her head. "I've overstayed my proximity to your lands, and offer my apologies." She turned to walk away, tossing a few more words over her shoulder. "Thanks for the drink." Palpable as the tension was, it was impossible to miss. The cheetah's tail tucked close to her heels as she started to trot away, one ear turned back to listen for a need of more speed.

Kimya growled menacingly at the silver and gold cheetah before her. Cheetahs were fast, but this one may not be getting the hint, because she moved slowly.
"Be gone with haste, before I change my mind about parading that pelt of yours home." She snarled and bunching her legs under her, leaped forward and charged after the lithe creature. She didn't think to question her words now, but later she would wonder whether, if she caught the cheetah, would she really have killed her?
With so much glory put on killing those who were not apart of the Nergui, perhaps she would have been given some of the honor she sought, but at the same time, she would wonder what honor could really mean, if she had to acquire it through violent means. It appeared she had to talk to more Nergui members, she thought, before she came to truly understand the pride she had joined.Ruhane Chiisai With your final 5th post, this RP is good to be called finished! heart

Jirru squeaked and tucked close to herself as she heard the lioness clear the water with a characteristically heavy -thud!- She didn't bother looking back, intent on leaving the aggressive lion and her murderous pride behind. After all, if there was one thing Jirru wanted not to be, it was an accessory-pelt. She liked her pelt right where it was, thank you VERY much!
